Booker T says hi. People alway say Vince killed the WCW guys, but that's not true, WWE and WCW had a totally different fanbase, even at the end which is why WCW failed. WWE was always the more on the edge East Coast New Yorkah style wrestling, while WCW was the down south wrasslin. WCW tried to be edgy like the E but it wasn't what their core fans wanted. Hogan wasn't even close to as popular when arriving in WCW as he was in WWE they had to drastically change who he was to get a strong reaction for him. So when these guys who were huge come in WCW come to WCW sometimes their gimmicks don't get over like they did in WCW. Nothing about Steiner or Goldbergs gimmick changed at all when they came to WWE, fans just didn't care after the original fizz wore off. DDP was over huge towards the end of his run when he was doing his Positive Page gimmick, and injury to his backs what messed that up. And of course Stings not going to come down from the ceiling, remember Owen Hart? After his death Sting didn't even come from the raptors in WCW anymore. Sting came down from the raptors in tna at slammiversary in 2006 in Nashville. Dude, Dinosaurs or a NBA team in Toronto have nothing to do with this Its RAFTERS

If Sting wanted a meaningful run he should've came over in 2002 He's lucky he has a title contender run at all in my mind People are forgetting Sting was main eventing 20 years ago Hang it up So was the guy in your avatar, want him to hang it up too? I was pissed that triple h won at wm, but what Sting is doing now i love

The WWE should have coated Sting's entire body in gold and dressed him in the finest fabrics known to man. His entrance should have a bright light that follows him while a full string orchestra plays "Hallelujah" while he glides to the ring.

Triple H shouldn't have won at Mania in my honest opinion Yeah HHH can take another back to back loss speaking he been in countless WrestleMania's and will be in many more. That was Sting first actually WWE match at mania. If Sting wins the belt it will make up for that loss.

Very interesting Sting interview with Rolling Stone, posted on Lordsofpain.net.... www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/Sting_on_If_He_Regrets_Signing_with_WWE_If_He_Wanted_to_Work_with_Younger_WWE_Talents_More.html - Sting recently spoke with Rolling Stone to promote WWE Night of Champions and his WWE World Heavyweight Title match against Seth Rollins. The full interview is at this link. Below are highlights: Was it an expressed desire of yours to not just go up against WWE legends like HHH, but also some of the younger stars? To be straight with you, no. Although, man, if presented to me, I would wanna walk through that door, because there's so many new, young, incredibly talented people – Seth being the best, I believe, as far as creativity and innovation in the ring. So you just can't get much better than this. It's just the nature of our business. Everything is always subject to change, and you never know what's gonna happen next. It was unexpected for me too, but again, the door opened, and I chose to walk through it. Should you lose at Night of Champions, does it paint a picture that you were brought to WWE primarily to put others over rather than enhance your own legacy? I had my time. There's no question about that. For a guy my age to be where I am right now is, to me, next to impossible. And yet, I'm here. It's not about Sting, not anymore. You're asking a straight-up question, I'll give ya a straight-up answer. That's it, and I am just fine with that. Considering the demands on your time and health, do you have any regrets about signing with WWE? It has been gratifying. After 30 years, I've learned to really appreciate the fans and the wrestlers and everybody in the whole industry a lot more. I held off on doing [public appearances] until WWE, and now I'm picking and choosing some things that I'm doing here and there, Comic-Cons and whatever. And the fans are so respectful, so there's a much higher level of appreciation now than there ever was. He was also asked...
A lot of fans felt like your Raw promo a few weeks back ‘put Triple H over’ at the expense of yourself and your feud with Rollins. How do you respond to that?
I don’t pay attention a lot of times to what’s out there, so this is the first time I’m hearing any news of that. I don’t think there’s anyone who’s going to carry all that to Night of Champions and think about that, because the bottom line is, my focus is Seth Rollins. Triple H is Triple H, and he’s worth the put-over.

Sting ruined his legacy by joining the WWE. Anybody could've seen it coming. He should've just worked with them on a DVD documentary and HOF Induction, not an on-air character/wrestler. Ruined his legacy? Really? Thats like saying Emmitt Smith ruined his legacy by going to the Arizona Cardinals. You guys are too damn dramatic... Chocolate Sharkty booking? Yes. But career destroying. Please! The man is 55 years old, what more could you possibly do with him or than have had him go over Trips? Look, at least we got to see him in a WWE ring which is a milestone all unto itself. And if you are a stickler for things that make sense... STOP WATCHING THE ING PRODUCT! It will never make sense.

Titles like this make me laugh, "the failed experiment". Everything from the execution of the angles to the warm crowd reaction Sting always receives indicate that Stings transition into a roster regular has been a success... But there's always some cynic who claims it's a "failure". Hilarious.
I am baffled that anybody can read an interview with Sting and assume he's "miserable". You cannot doubt the man is high on life working for WWE. Between this interview, and FSM, he's clearly loving working with Triple H.
Would everybody just prefer them to cart Sting out on a part time basis? Or limit him to novelty appearances/matches against specially selected opponents... Matches that won't affect the current on screen direction of other workers?
Because I don't. I'm a wrestling fan. And if Sting is available, I wanna see him wrestle. He's in shape, he's looking ring-fit, his work rate is still much higher than most of the roster. If Sting is able to wrestle, I want to see him wrestle.
If you seriously cannot enjoy Stings first ever main event feud in WWE, you watch wrestling for all the wrong reasons, and you could do with a break. Then, when you start up watching again, you'll be gutted that you never embraced this Sting run while it lasted.

www.ringsidenews.com/featured-news/sting-and-wwe-the-failed-experiment/18/9/15 - EDIT: Decided to edit this just to say that I thought the article was worth a read, even if you don't agree with it. I have a lot of time for RSN, so that's why I posted it. It's true that I haven't been entirely happy with the way WWE have used Sting, mainly because the match with Triple H at WM was spoilt by adding DX and the nWo into it, and making it all about WWE vs WCW, which it didn't need to be. I'm enjoying Sting's feud with Rollins, and this is definitely the right direction for them to take Sting in. I'm hoping he's got a few good matches left in him yet. Can I also just state that I didn't write the article, so if anyone's "cynical", it's the author.
