OK I'm pretty sure this has been asked before but in my case it's a bit different.
Swapping old Elite boots onto a new basic. Specifically, an Elite 51 Sami's boots onto the new Sami basic.
I'm guessing the pegs don't fit right but, with modification, would you be able to get them to fit or is this a 'cut and glue' situation?

I actually gave it a shot with an old pair of basic Sami boots. You're right, they don't want to stay on tight at all. I had to use tack to get them to stay in place. |

(Updated) I don't remember if I showed my original fixup of this before but, now that I know what the UE is gonna look like, I'm making this a permanent custom. Body and Head: Basic 145 Sami Zayn (with paint work) Boots: Basic 50 Sami Zayn (with some tack added to make them stay, toe cuts altered, and laces painted white) Jacket (hoodie): Elite 107 Finn Balor As a general note: My phone camera mucks with the colors on things so the colors on this aren't actually true to life. IRL his beard is red and his hair is a slightly darker, browner shade of red. |

I've got the idea of how to apply decals, but I forget -- what type of prep/set/finish do you use for wrestling figures? Working with CSCD here.

Apply to surface apply decal, dab at it to smooth it out so you don't potentially rub the ink off.  I make a mixture of matte mod podge for my air brush then I apply a layer, and then depending on how it looks I may apply a 2nd layer. |

Back into collecting after a small leave of absence, was digging through some bags and bins and salvaged a couple good-enough-for-me 2001 customs from some spare parts I had laying around.  Stone Cold from his Margaritaville promo with The Rock. I know the torso is small and basic, but again, spare parts.  Free labels from USPS + home printer + acrylic paint = ghetto bootleg decals lol  Kane in his one-off all-black attire from No Way Out 2001. This was my first time ever sculpting, painting, or dremeling a figure. I think I did an alright job with my tremoring hands. I ended up removing the kneepads but don't feel like taking new pictures. He was wearing some sort of leg sleeve at the time but it was underneath his gear and I'm not sure how to best convey that. I still think this R3 tech head is the best Kane sculpt ever.   |

Got this off ebay, it’s a Jakks Funaki head on a Jamie Noble body i believe but he’s in scale and now my japanese figure fed has a #1 announcer. Indeed!   |

I did the same thing but used some plastic that melts in hot water to thicken up the arm pegs and put it in the holes for the hands so mattel hands work ...Turned out pretty good .Product is called moldable plastic pellets that I got from Hobby Lobby . |

Got the parts in for this today, put it all together, and then realised i didn’t have any blue paint to finish him lol. But heres a basic to elite Chris Masters conversion about 75% of the way done, based on his 2010 run. I’ve swapped all the parts and almost finished the white outline of his tights design. I will probably also give him the lower legs from his basic since the boots don’t fit flush on the HHH lower legs.  |
