Does the torso still rotate after that? Not if glued to the trunks. They changed the trunks peg on ultimate figures so newer ultimate torsos no longer fit onto elite trunks It kind of strikes me as wild that they made all of the Basics figures now on ball joints so that you can swap any and all legs wherever you want, but then they do this to the high end figures. I mean, I love the new basic ball joints, but feel like doing this is a huge step backwards. |

WWE Mattel is easily the funnest brand to customise, they know it too.
But people need to calm TF down!!!
They will eventually make every major superstar into Ultimate and they will end up upgrading all the older legends etc.
I know people who buy figs for just knee pad fodder...
Look at the Solo Sikoa 1st elite skinny torso, white towel... people went and bought other figs to fix it and Mattel hits back with a better version in what less than 12 months???
We used to be smart collectors, now some of ya'll are turning into "THE LAST ONE WITH THE MOST TOYS WINS" kinda ppl.. buying 2-3 of the same thinking it's a flex... or flipping it for profit down the line.
Imagine downgrading the articulation of a figure just so it has butterfly joints and toe pivot...

Not everyone is exclusively a collector of the big names. And by definition, I don't think you can call it an articulation downgrade when you are adding more points of articulation? Like, the torso articulation is DIFFERENT, and may have less range, but I don't think downgrade is the word to use when making a non-elite figure into a full Ultimate is adding multiple new points of articulation. I dunno, could just be me though. |

I've done that method once and would prefer a different way What's the downside of that method? Besides glueing the torso shut so you can't swivel it on the waist?  |

UE MNW Eddie
I would really like to upgrade those Three Faces of Foley to Ultimates if I can find some Mankinds, and Eddie/Sami seem to have awfully useful torsos for customs.
In fact, if there was a list of UE figures so far that do use the new style, that would be extremely helpful.

I don't know if it means anything, I'm not entirely sure what the crotch piece problem is, but you can put the new basic legs on a Sami Zayn ultimate. I believe I also swapped a pair of Elite legs on him once, but the Elite legs didn't fit as well. They were really loose, I think. Or maybe I put the basic legs on an Elite. Don't remember exactly. But the basic legs fit the Ultimates FINE. |
