I still don't understand why people crack torsos. It usually ends up with a gap, slight marring, maybe some glue residue, etc.
If you just slice the figure at the waist you keep the torso mint. Yes ... you must also slice another torso off to get the waist/legs piece you want ... but you were going to crack THAT torso anyway. Then you simply sand/slice the two halves and use a small bit of glue to create your new, perfect figure.
You make ask yourself ... but you won't be able to rotate the torso! True ... but when do you ever do that? We make them stand via their legs and boots.
Maybe someone will clue me in on why torso cracking is the better route.

You pretty much have to if your goal is to change the arms, and if you’re good at it, you don’t damage the torso at all. I think most people want the waist swivel as well, though I think you could still maintain that with the method you’re talking about.

Some of us are photographers/pic-fedders, some of us like to make customs and keep as much articulation as possible, and some of us like to have a play every now and then. So....very slight gap and your perfect figure - or figure with no waist swivel..... There's not much comparison in my opinion.

Off the top of my head, suplexes are ones you need to turn the waists. Some moves will look stiff if you dont. Not everytime will there be a gappage when you put the torso back together as well.

Well yeah, for playing with them you need it. And I guess the people that photograph action shots. But otherwise, nah. It leaves that crazy overhang.

If done right, there's no seam or residue.

Apocalypse That's the Flair I wanted. Yours looks nice. Question... why did you crack the torso? Im putting that torso on the 4 pack flair for a u.e rr92 Ric Flair. So its not glued back or anything, its just lightly sitting there. Then im going to put the 4 pack flairs torso on the wwf purple attire and put it on ebay Also like nivro said if done right then theres no gap. The trick is to dry fit before glueing it back together.. cut or sand anything that keeps you from a perfect fit.

Picked up a loose Papa Shango for $10. Only accessory he had was his hat so I added some Evil Dead props to spruce him up! Gonna be searching for the Superstars Shango to cop the bone necklace and cape!

Hey all, Thanks for all your tips on customizing so far! I'm working on another Flair custom - - - I Googled online and it actually referenced back to a post HERE from 2012..... that Basic boots and Elite boots cannot be interchanged. That post was from 2012.... is this still true? I wanted to put all-Black Basic Flair boots on the Elite black-tights Flair.... I'll probably try it anyway but just wondered what I should expect.... I'm surprised the boots wouldn't be interchangeable at this point? Like, why would they make them different? But if they aren't compatible, I'll go a different route..... Thanks! I had success swapping a Basic Warrior's boots (the black ones) onto a Royal Rumble Elite Warrior (yellow trunks with IC title), but I think it didn't work for everyone who tried it honestly. I think I remember reading it didn't quite fit for some. I'm half expecting to remove him from the tote he's in one day and find a gap, but last time I checked it was seamless.

I bought a couple extra ric flair ultimates on ringside sale. 20.99 is a great price. Going to try my luck at cracking. Flairs upperbody should work for multiple wrestlers
