Nivro™: how'd you get the residue off?

Nivro™: Glad I could help! Acetone is very harsh, which is why I use lacquer thinner and always have products readily available to combat the white residue.

Nivro™: how'd you get the residue off? Used lacquer thinner on a Q-Tip and went over the area until the white (mostly) disappeared. Then brushed on a coat of Model Masters Acrylic Semi-gloss clear...Looks just like new! All thanks to Axe

This is just a question: Can nail polish remover be used to remove black stains figures get from black clothes? Like for example a DM Ric Flair? Thanks.

You have no idea how excited I am about this info man. There's been so many things Ive tried or wanted to do only to screw them up because of that damned white residue.

Guess I'm not buying then. Thanks anyway! You should be alright. Flair's robe is a different cloth material then the first cloth used for Mattel figures. The only time Ive seen the new material stain is when it was left on the figure in the package for a couple years. (King Kong Bundy)

I really want to repaint the Faarooq head, but am not interested in spending $30 to do so. Has anyone stripped and repainted it yet?

First off is theaxehennig tells you to do something, Do it! While making this green Kevin Von Erich, I let acetone run down my hands (thinking it was just water cause I did just do part swaps) and it got all over the green trunks. It left horrible white residue behind especially after I removed the logos... Axe told me what to do and I followed his instructions and this thing is perfect now! This is what I was talking about people freaking out cause I pretty much took a highly wanted Macho Man figure just to make another Kevin Von Erich, but hey...It looks awesome IMO and its an accurate attire for what he wore in Japan. Also since I had parts left, started working on a red trunks Macho Man and I had a spare AJ Lee I was trying to remove the yellow shirt from, which left the horrible white stains, which I could now go back and fix and work on another random custom.. That looks like night and day between what you first showed me and the finished look. Looks great. But what do you mean "Just another Kevin Von Erich"?!

Amazing Kevin in neon green! Would fit in nicely with the 10 Kerry fix-ups I have . Great work, man!

Modified some existing customs/fixups and made some new ones too over the past 2 weeks. Scott Hall (repainted from a DM Ramon): Big Poppa Pump (added new decals for deco): Warrior (simple fixup of a WCW's OWN version): Chris Jericho (converted a previous custom into this WCW version of the Lion Heart):
