It would be awesome to have Pete & Pete, Salute Your Shorts, Ah Real Monsters, Wild & Crazy Kids, Nick Arcade, Double Dare, What Would You Do, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Roundhouse, Legends of the Hidden Temple, etc. back on the air again.
I'm down!

They're riding the nostalgia wave, because all their new shows have failed.
CN has struck gold with Adventure Time, Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show etc. Disney struck gold with Gravity Falls, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Star Wars etc.
What does Nick have? A bunch of failed or failing shows. iCarly and Victorious did well, but they're done.
It's because all of the shows Nick has tried to do have been toilet humor and mindless nonsense, while CN and Disney have shows that appeal to kids and adults.
It's sad to see how far Nick has fallen in quality.

The Turtles show is popular? I don't hear about it even half as much as the other shows.

And I'm sure Spongebob is still a big earner, the movie just made over 300m at the box office.

Yeah I remember back in the late 90s early 2000s Nick used to Be The network to watch so many great shows back then such as All That,Rugrats,Hey Arnold,Cousin Skeeter,Kenan and kel,and so many more im also very upset that Danny Phantom only had 1 season because he could've been huge.

I'm wondering how long it takes them to start putting original programing on the channel. A reboot of some classic show, something "90's-inspired," or something written and/or starring Nickelodeon actors. I don't know what but sooner or later it's coming. That's what happened with their first 90's nostalgia channel, Nicktoons.

Nick had a tour around 92, they would go to arenas and pick people out of the crowd to play Double Dare, GUTS and Nick Arcade. It was hosted by Mike OMalley and the Nick a Arcade dude. I remember being devastated that Nick Arcade was filmed in front of a green screen

I think it's worth mentioning that "The Splat" will likely be nothing more than a rebranding of TeenNick's "The 90's Are All That" programming block. Source #1 Source #2Hopefully, they'll get it right this time by showing it at an earlier hour instead of after midnight, and actually broadcast more than 4 shows on any given week. Under two years, if it even survives that long. I love classic Nickelodeon shows as much as anyone, but the '90s nostalgia cruise line that we've all docked at some point in our recent lives will eventually run out of fuel and be stranded at sea. In just a few short years, the next generation will grow into young adulthood without ever having a connection to that particular decade outside of watching re-runs. Celebration of '90s pop culture will go the way of celebrating '80s pop culture before that, and so on and so forth.

I haven't watched Nickelodeon probably since the 90s when all this stuff was popular. It's seems as if I'm not the only one either which explains the huge push for this retro 90s stuff.
