Let's hope not. If WWE were going to go back to having terrible figures for nostalgia value, I'd rather see the return of the LJN or Hasbro style.

No, they won't.

I have made it pretty widely known that if Jakks were ever to be the main figure maker again that it would spell the end of me collecting. The Jakks figures look dreadful by todays standards.

No, they won't. I bet Mattel holds the license well into the late 2020's I agree and they still wont have 1/3 of the CS superstar line Jakks in 2020 and on a side note I dont know how anyone can like the flawed Mattel ? they really freak me out with the over articulation especially the thigh and crotch thing going on . Thin legs and theres just no beef to those figures very cheap with washout faces but to each his own I still love mattel for accessories and I cant wait to get the bulldog capes and then just resell the horrible figure ! One last thing that cant be denied Classic Fans of REAL Wrestling WWF 80s will NEVER EVER be able to do even the simple things below and thats a fact

Mattel are just current age, whereas Jakks has a roster of golden era and before that Mattel will probably never touch. I'm all for the way that Jakks did their packaging. You can display all of them in the same style packaging, which allows you to display them in their eras, without having 50 million different style boxes. Jakks Classics will always hold a special place with me, just how BCA holds a special place for me as a child collecting them, the Classics line was my teenage years... nothing can touch that ... nothing Mattel puts out either. Mattel are just the current product and have made tons of great flashbacks, but I will always hold Jakks as my favorite of all times, regardless of some of their major duds.

No I totally understand and its just my opinion with a lotta of fact and for me its not even Jakks vs Mattel its just I hate the over articulation in all these figures like someone took a saw to them but mattel really do seem thin , cheaply made and over priced to me . Im very late to the game and I never really collected but when I saw that Jakks WM2 blue steel cage ring it was like I was a kid again and then all the Classic 80s WWF figures they did that mattel wont ever do because of $$$ its sad but hey more Jakks Classic CS for me ! I dont know what they sold for at the time but other Hogan I never paid more than $8 MOC .

Jakks nailed a lot of their head scans but their bodies were awful. I read that Jakks was only planning on releasing roleplay type items and they weren't going to be released in the US.
Regardless, I'm a Mattel guy. They're killing it right now and I would hope it will continue to remain this way for as long as possible.

Because Classic 80s wrestling are mostly just rehashes of the same wrestler over and over and IMO thats not killing it Wheres the Refs , Managers and announcers and a basic mid card lineup ? and that Les Gold Hulk Hogan was no big bargain Brother !

Supposedly they're making some sort of figures for the east Asian markets. Whether they are RAs or what we don't know.

People can argue that Jakks CS had a deeper line-up - and it's true. But personally, I'd much rather have a classic collection with the likes of Macho Man, Steamboat and Sting etc. over guys like The Killer Bees, Ken Patera and Johnny Rodz... And besides, we're getting more Mattel Flashbacks/Legends figures than ever - there's Jimmy Hart, Bobby Heenan, Big John Studd, IRS, Sid, The APA,The Godfather... plus new versions of The British Bulldog, Rick Rude, Andre The Giant, Mr Perfect, Million Dollar Man, Cactus Jack, Kevin Nash, 2 new Macho Mans - all coming out in the next few months... who knows who else we'll be getting and how big the collection will be with another FOUR years of Mattel goodness?

Its not even debatable till mattel has 30% of Jakks CS roster but dont listen to me even Andre and The Real Hulkster (no Les Gold Here ) agree Jakks CS is the real deal Brother.

I want more jakks figures, in RA form
I'd love for Mattel to make current roster figures. Focus only on those, then jakks makes CS

There's no stopping me now, dude! Goldamania and all my little Goldamaniacs are runnin' wild all over the world, Brother! (seriously tho, I loved Jakks when I was a kid, and didn't collect Mattel when they first got the license. But I love Mattel now, if they didn't make AmericanMade, I wouldn't exist!)
