I've sold a lot of figures recently. Like probably 200. And yet, when faced with what I was willing to sell and what I wanted to keep, I encountered a few odd ones where I said "No, not that one". Of all the ones I couldn't stand to lose, this stood out as the one I couldn't explain:  Sure, it's a gorgeous figure, the deco, the scan, perfect figure. But I never really gave a care for Hawkins. I should be able to release this one to the wild on those grounds alone, but I strongly said 'no' on this one. Anyone else have a figure they strongly love and can't logically explain why they hang on to it? Preferably WWE Mattel related, but I'd be interested to hear any off-topic stuff as well. |

Hmm... My equivalent would probably have to be the series 2 ringside rebel Triple H figure. I had him, Undertaker, The Rock, and Jericho and sold them all but Hunter. Thanks to this topic, I even pulled him out of my closet to look at him again...

Sold my entire collection of Mattel Elites except E30 Legion of Doom. To date, these are my favorite figure by Mattel. E39 Sid could change that.

Maybe because it's his only figure and was released in a battlepack. I feel the same way about Trent Barreta and Alex Riley figures.

RVD has a half dozen Mattel figures now and I own them all except for the t-shirt tucked into a singlet figure. BUT I would never part with my first RVD fix-up (Jakks R3 head on an elite Miz body with a Ralph's tiger singlet) as it remains one of my favorite figures. I doubt I would part with it even if Mattel released an elite of RVD in his tiger singlet.
For un-modified Mattel figures, I won't part with Tommy Dreamer. It may be a basic but it is his only figure and even if I sold most of my collection I would keep all of the ECW originals.

HOF Series 1 Ultimate Warrior. I'm not at all a Warrior fan but my Target had 1 left so I picked it up and really like it so I'd probably never sell it.

I was separating my Basics into two piles, "keep" and "don't keep". I never cared much for Chris Masters, but kept both of his figures. There's a Rey with greyish-silver pants and black mask. It's not particularly attractive, but he has "619" written on his chin, so it turned into a keeper.

The Nexus Darren Young figure. Funny thing is when I bought that 2pack, I sold the Justin Gabriel figure thinking he was the gay guy.

Now that it's been mentioned, Nexus had several good figures. I personally despised Michael Tarver in the ring, but that is one of Mattel's coolest figures.

I don't think I could part with any of them. But I think the more surprising one would be Mason Ryan from the Battlepack with Randy Orton. I never play with that figure, but he's always in my roster for some reason.
