Is their any legitimacy to the savage and stephanie roomers? I have searched online about it but cant come up with anything concrete. I even heard an interview a few years back from hogan and when he was asked he said that this is the first he had heard about it. He said it made sense though because ever since he returned in 2002 he said machos name was never spoken by vince. Kinda weird with how nostalgic wwe has been in the last 15 years to ignore macho until he dies.

Well the problem with roomers is once they get started they tend to go down hill. Im not saying the roomers are true but it could be something minor that was said after Savage left and then it snowballed into this huge roomer. Basically the point is, never believe a roomer.

Macho never slept with Stephanie. This goes back to that interview Savage did online when he said he would take Stephanie from Triple H. All because Triple H said Savage and Hogan were dinosaurs.
I think Vince was legit hurt over Savage leaving. Vince wanted Savage to be in the WWE for life. But Savage wanted to wrestle still and he went to WCW to do that. Vince didn't want Savage to wrestle anymore, he wanted a youth movement (and what better way than to have Bob Backlund win the WWE Title and stay on the active roster for years after).

just found this video on youtube. This is Vince saying goodbye to macho in 94 when he left. After seeing this I dont think the Stephanie thing happened. I doubt if it did happen and thats why he left then Vince wouldn't have said this on the air.

Who knows? I haven't heard anything that is totally convincing either way.
It is strange how Savage was never brought back or seemingly offered another chance and took sooooo long to get the HOF nod. Vince has been burned or feuded with people way worse than what the facts with Savage seem to be. When you consider, Hogan, Nash and Hall, even Eric Bischoff--the man that legitimately tried to destroy Vince--were all offered chances to come in... it's so weird that it never happened with Randy.
It just seems like something extra went down that would cause such response (or lack there of) from Vince.. so messing around with his underaged daughter would certainly qualify (and there would be reasons why Vince wouldn't or couldn't take legal actions.) Still, there could have been dozens of other things... It just seems like it would be more than "taking the Slim Jim sponsorship" or whatever the other reasons are.

Do you know why this dumb rumor still exists? Because some immature goof started it and people are too ignorant to let it go.

I wish this rumour would just die already really and truly. Let us consider the facts of the matter.
Today Stephanie is 39......in 1994(or whenever the alleged incident was) she was 18 or younger. And its is LONG told by many insiders that Stephanie was rarely to be seen near the wrestlers or around WWF at all.
Shane was the McMahon kid who done his due diligence within the company.....working summers with ring crews etc while Steph was off playing spoiled princess at school. That's why many were surprised she got handed the creative spot in 2000 and Shane was slowly but surely pushed to the side.
Also Stephanie & Savage would have known one another for ten years at this point....would there really have been any attraction there? Savage probably viewed her more like a niece or some such......and Steph vice versa.
Now it isn't impossible......she was "of age" if ya like but lets examine it further......
Rumour 1: Savage left WWF because Vince found out he "rode Steph"(as we say in Ireland)
false.
Savage would never have received the on air farewell from Vince were this true....that being Vince finding out about Randy slipping Steph the "pork sword" and being furious about it.
Rumour 2: Vince heard about Savage & Steph after Savage had left and that's what led to his being "blackballed" from WWF.
False.
Were this true & Vince was furious about it? He would never have consented to having Savage appear on any memorabilia ever again. Let alone f*ckin action figures.
Savage left because he wanted to wrestle. He began speaking with Eric Bischoff with Vinces blessing....although many say Vince NEVER thought Savage would agree terms with WCW. Apparently when Savage told him he was going Vince was upset.....but not bitter or angry.
Something likely happened during the MNW to crack their relationship.....personally I think it was the whole Slim Jim deal.

In watching the Raw shows from 1995, Bam Bam Bigelow and Diesel both did Slim Jim commercials. I remember Big Daddy Cool saying, "Need a little excitement... snap into it!" and bite the slim jim and looks into the camera. And Macho Man was in WCW then, so WWE still had Slim Jim endorsement after Macho left the company.

Oh maybe so then! I believe you are right. I do know Halloween Havoc 96 was heavily influenced by Slim Jim. So the WWE lost the rights to them at the end of 1995 is my guess then. And Macho Man got them to go to WCW and have him bet he main guy for it. Smart move by Macho. You know, it's kind of funny, if Vince would have allowed Randy to wrestle, and paid Razor and Diesel more money, they would have stayed and never would there have been a Monday Night War. Yet, because he let them go, he got his ass kicked for a bit, but somehow ended up making the WWE Attitude Era the most explosive era for ratings.

Eh...The slim jim thing doesnt really make any since. Like duckholliday said, their have been numerous other people who have burned vince and he forgave them. I mean look at superstar billy graham. According to the documentary wwe made on him he started the whole steroid thing in the early 90s. Superstar said he started the lawsuit because he was bitter and needed money. If Vince can forgive a guy like that then I think he could forgive macho for a slimjim deal. It just doesn't make since that he would be ignored by wwe for so long with no explanation. After this thread im not so sure that he did it, all im saying is that something doesn't add up.

I am locking this. It didn't happen. If it did Savage would have been in jail or dead. Hell, Vince said a very nice on air send off on RAW for him when he left the company.
