I always wish people could not stick company names in titles that have nothing to do with the item. Like if it's a WCW Smash And Slam figure made by Toybiz, put WCW, even NWO. But don't put WWF, WWE, ECW, TNA, etc. Makes it take ten times as long to look through the results. If I wanted WWE, I'd search WWE. If I'm searching WCW, I want WCW.

You can alway omit words "wwe -wcw" or "wwf -wcw -wwe -nwo -mattle" Problem with that is it omits search results that might actually be applicable to what you're searching. When I'm searching I don't want to see Jakks figs, but if I do -jakks then I don't see any of the Mattel figs listed with "Jakks" in the title. People are just clueless. They think putting a bunch of irrelevant crap in their title is going to make their listing better than if they put the most relevant information.

But you can save a ton of searches to have weed out those you don't want to see. The "-" works well with the really clueless people that don't even put key words like "wwe wwf mattel jakks wrestling elite basic ECW wcw TNA" so if you are smart enough it's simple to navigate and rule out those irritating listing and find listings that only a few know how to find. Don't be the tool that's pissed at other tools, be the tool that's most effective...

So, normally I just view as guest but thought this might be the place to ask this question. I bought a WWE Mattel figure off eBay which I didn't realize until after I received was a not a standard Basic figure due to the rubber hands, springs in legs, and differences in articulation points. I looked back at the auction and yes, the seller posted pictures of the figure from every angle, but made no mention in the description of this being a "different" kind of figure. Obviously there's no way I'd know about the springy legs or rubber hands until I actually handled it. I asked for a refund and the seller immediately sent an Amazon linking showing me that this was a legit Flexforce figure, so this was not a matter of the seller not knowing what he had. I repeated my request for a refund on the grounds that the seller's description was deliberately ambiguous with hope that the buyer would simply not notice what they were bidding on. So, what do you think? Am I in the right by asking for a refund? I can see eBay ruling that I could have noticed the differences in arm articulation from the pics, which is true, but I still think it was a crappy thing for the seller not to mention this was from the Flexforce line. I wouldn't want you to be anywhere near my auctions. You seem very snaky. You see pictures, you read descriptions, and you still try scam sellers because they use key terms to boost visibility. Ambiguous or not, you are your own best judge when it comes to reading and seeing what you are getting. Granted, some sellers are lazy; they use stock pics or other sellers pictures, but if you've buying a stock pictured item, your the clown. You wouldn't grip about getting an epic deal on eBay, but you would scam an everyday seller, then come here to cause drama? I know you're a newb and all, but griping here is a minefield! Most sellers work here, with better deals than they work on eBay. (1) For you, the collector, (2) We like it here with our peers, (3) little to no fees. You get you 50 post, you head to the classified, but because you alienated all of your peers and openly talk about opening cases, see who will work with you. You are trouble in the distance Mr. Mercy!

You are trouble in the distance Mr. Mercy! Mmmkay. First, I didn't even buy a figure with a stock picture, so I have no idea where that's coming from. Second, I admitted that ultimately it was my mistake and I cancelled the request for a refund. No biggie. Third, I wasn't "griping" in that post so much as legitimately asking for feedback from people who I assumed bought and sold a lot of stuff on eBay. Why did I do that? Because I wanted to be a reasonable person by not having unreasonable expectations. Fourth, I'm not griping in this thread so much as discussing amusing auction listings, which I think pretty much everyone but you seems to understand. Fifth, I really have no intention of using the classifieds because I'd prefer to complete my transactions somewhere with some buyer protections like eBay. I wouldn't trade or buy from someone on the Internet without any buyer protections unless I really knew that person well. So, you need to chill Vegeta.

I was trying to help you out trying to navigate eBay. Your logic was flawed. Complaint about auctions that have key term in them a horrible idea, unless it works out in your favor. I know most of the guys here. I can tell the ones that are joking about it, because some posts are seriously hilarious. IE; every auction has "rare, htf" in it. Shell bidding is a joke. I get it. You, on the hand, complain and brag. That's it. Anyone who wants to check you out can see for themselves. No need to get decisive, just realize that there are people that frequent here daily and read other peoples stuff.

Not trying to be rude, but I've read that like 3 times and having trouble making sense of some of it. What am I supposedly bragging about? What are all these people going to find when they "check me out"? How, specifically, is my logic flawed? I'm just here to talk about collecting action figures with others who share the same hobby. This conversation is weird.
