Are there numbers on this? Because I don't believe that in the slightest. The Meltz has said several times that when WCW died it took a lot of fans with it. I know the ratings where declining in 2002 and it caused a panic then as per JokerFCI'd have to look around... Not to mention that WCW Nitro was pulling ratings roughly what WWE RAW is pulling right now (3 range) and at the time RAW was pulling 4's & 5's so there's easily a few million fans that are missing now then there were in the MNW era. As diehard and loyal WCW/NWA/JCP fans were, I can easily see them being a big number of that.

That was such a non-thing.
Their only way to make a mediocre announcement is to do a bait and switch to get people interested...I think its time for a car ride to the country.

![](http://i1.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/010/319/almostpolitically.gif) "I been to Indiana...aint no good rasslers there" I know its a joke but Ultimate Warrior, Mick Foley, The Funk Family and BRIAN FN B. BLAIR were born in Indiana. Just wanted to state the facts, Carry on.

Why do you guys still fall for this every time? Every "major announcement" that TNA and Dixie Carter hype up is just a big fat wet fart of a let down.
Except for getting Sting, Hogan, and the time they moved to Monday for 2 weeks to try and compete with WWE RAW and FAILED, nothing TNA has ever done or announced has been important or mattered in any way shape or form.
And no, Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle don't count as important because they were FIRED from WWE. If Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle hadn't been DRUG ADDICTS at the time and been fired, TNA never would have been able to get them. But after you get fired from WWE, where else were they supposed to go? WWE has made no attempts to re-acquire them since they were let go.
