NXTJPW 10/14/15Tetsuya Naito vs. Kota IbushiThe show opens with the rating, followed by a highlight package of Respect. It goes to opening video and then into Full Sail, the crowd hot and chanting NXT. The camera pans the crowd as Tetsuya Naitos theme begins to play and Rich Brennan begins welcomes the fans to the show and introduces himself , Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves. The camera cuts to the entrance way, Naito walks out, wearing a shirt, baseball cap, and carrying a chair. As Naito goes to the ring, Brennan puts over Naitos recent change in attitude following his latest stint in Mexico. Naito sets up the chair in the ring facing the ropes. He sits down and rests his feet on the top rope. Ibushis music plays to a big pop. The announcers put over his recent quest for The NEVER Openweight Title and his past reigns as NJPW Junior Heavyweight Champion and other accomplishments in NJPW.
Naito doesn't leave his chair when Ibushi enters the ring. When the ref finally gets Naito to leave his chair, he takes his hat off and looks at it before tossing it in Ibushis face. He jumps Ibushi with a few punches and chops before Irish Whipping him. Naito goes to Leapfrog over Ibushi but Ibushi grabs his foot and brings him down to the mat and tries to lock in an Ankle Lock, but Naito scrambles to the ropes and pulls himself out of the ring. Naito collects his bearings. Ibushi runs torwards the ropes, hops over onto the outside second rope and Moonsaults onto Naito when Naito turns around. The crowd pop huge.
Ibushi remains in control when the match goes back inside. He continues displaying his array of kicks. Naito catches one of the kicks and elbows Ibushi, giving him the control of the match. Naito slows the pace by locking Ibushi in a variety of holds. The pace quickens again when Naito attempts his signature Flying Forearm Smash only to have Ibushi slide under it. Ibushi hits a Running Standing Corkscrew Moonsault when Naito lands to a big pop and gets a very close two count. Ibushi poses to the crowd and drags Naito a little. He goes to the top and attempts a Phoenix Splash but Naito gets his knees up. Ibushi grabs his ribs and rolls away, kicking his feet. Naito quickly heads to the top and attempts The Stardust Press but Ibushi rolls out of the way. Ibushi tries to get to his feet using the ropes but slips into the corner. Naito starts to stir and slowly pulls himself up, stumbling into the opposite corner. Ibushi pulls himself up. The two run across the ring, meeting in the middle. Ibushi ducks Naitos Lariat and locks his waist, but Naito elbows him and goes behind him. He lifts Ibushi only to be Victory Rolled. Naito rolls through reversing it, Ibushi rolls through as well, but stands holding onto Naitos ankle. He tries to pull Naito into an Ankle Lock. Naito pushes himself up, keeping himself off the mat. He rolls forward sending Ibushi torwards the corner but Ibushi hops onto the top rope. When Naito is back on his feet, Ibushi jumps backwards over Naitos head and hits a Reverse Frankensteiner to a huge pop. Ibushi quickly grabs Naito by the hair and pulls him to his feet. He goes behind Naito and hits a Bridging Dragon Suplex for a three count in just under seven minutes.
Ibushi def. Naito in 6:55.A graphic hyping Ten-Kojis debut later airs, then it goes to a commercial.
Katsuyori Shibata vs. Cal BishopIt comes back, Shibatas music is playing, a few members of the audience pop. As Shibata stoically walks to the ring as he's introduced, the camera moves to show Cal Bishop already in the ring, a graphic barring his name appears. The match is a squash to show off Shibatas skills. His moveset is noticeably less stiff then usual. The match ends at 3:30 when Shibata forces Bishop to tap out to an Octopus Hold. The ref raises his hand, the crowd cheer.
Shibata def. Bishop in 3:30. As Shibata heads up the ramp, Baron Corbin's music hits. As Corbin walks out, he meets Shibata half way and shoulder checks him. They both look at each other over their shoulder. The stare down lasts a few seconds before both are on their way.
As Bishop makes his way around the ring, Corbin looks back before Big Booting Bishop. He grabs him by the hair and tights and throws him shoulder first into the guardrail. He grabs his hair and tights again and tosses him into the ring. Corbin enters the ring but before he can do anything else Zack Ryders music hits and him and Mojo Rawley run down to the ring.
Ryder runs into the ring and ducks a swing from Corbin. Ryder punches him a few times and backs up and pumps his fist reciting his catchphrase before going for Corbin again only to be caught with a right hand. Corbin shakes off Ryder's punches before tossing Bishop out of the ring. Graves laments Bishops bad night.
Baron Corbin vs. Zack Ryder w/ Mojo Rawley Corbin grabs a standing Ryder and shoves him into the corner. He kicks at Ryder's gut multiple times before pulling him out of the corner into his finisher and covers him for the three.
Corbin def. Ryder in 1:30.As Corbin is announced as the winner, it cuts to Shibata watching the match in the back. It cuts back to Corbin before cutting to the commentators. Graves and Saxton go back and forth about Corbin's actions. Brennan interrupts them, saying they have to move on.
A graphic showing the participants of The Number One Contenders Battle Royal airs. Brennan hypes it up and sends it to a commercial break.
It comes back on the Nia Jax promo but when her name flashes on the screen, her music begins playing and the lights in Full Sail go on. She comes out to a smattering of cheers. Her opponent, Billy Kay, is already in the ring.
Billy Kay vs. Nia JaxThe commentators waste no time putting over Nias relation to The Rock. In a match that went about seven minutes, Kay pulled out a surprised victory when the inexperienced Jax allowed herself to be distracted by the crowd, allowing Kay to Schoolgirl her for the three. She quickly rolled out of the ring, heading up the ramp shocked. The crowd cheering, Graves is beside himself. Despite Graves surprise, all three commentators congratulate Billy on the win.
Kay def. Jax in 6:49It cuts to the back, Tyler Breeze standing in a hallway, rather somber. His selfie stick is in his hand but pointed at the ground. He looks at the camera.
" I've been here since day one. Day one. I've gotten chances at The NXT Title but they aren't enough. You know why? Cause every time it seems I'm going to be getting that chance again, someone comes along, some new signee, comes along and pushes me to the back of the line. Itami, Balor, Owens, Joe, Crews, and now I have a bunch of Japanese wrestlers to worry about? Tonight I have an opportunity to put myself back in the front of the line where I belong. "
He storms past the camera man, his music can be heard in the background. The feed goes to a commercial.
Number One Contenders Battle RoyalWhen it comes back, the ring is filled. Samoa Joes music is playing, he's halfway down the ramp. He enters the ring. Before the bell rings, the crowd pop huge, as "Sorry...about your damn luck!" blares from the P.A.. The camera zooms in on the smirks on Joe and Rhynos faces. James Storm walks out, wearing his trench coat, and hat. Brennan and Saxton put over his 10+ years of experience, and, without naming names, his history with Rhyno and Joe. Graves questions whether Rhyno and Joe are smirking because he's an old friend or because he's an old punching bag.
Storm stays on the apron and removes his stuff, Joe and him never taking their eyes off of each other. The bell rings shortly after Storm enters the ring. The match is obviously a cluster

Bull Dempsey is the first eliminated by Baron Corbin. The surprising edition of Sylvester LeFort follows seconds later by Corbin. A little more time passes before Blake and Murphy eliminate Mojo Rawley, and Tye Dillinger at the same time. Zack Ryder is next followed by Marcus Louis. Shortly after Jason Jordan follows suite, the commentators shocked by his early elimination. Dash Wilder and Johnny Gargano eliminate each other at the same time, when Gargano tried a Running Flying Crossbody on Wilder, and he caught him and stumbled momentum carrying them over the top rope.
Scott Dawson is out next by the former NXT Tag Team Champions, Wesley Blake, and Buddy Murphy. Shortly after their both eliminated by Rhyno. Saxton mentions that on the other side of the ring. Tommaso Ciampa was tossed out by Chad Gable.
A few minutes later brings another shocking elimination when Corbin tossed Tyler Breeze over the top rope. The crowd boo loud, the commentators are beside themselves, Breeze is shocked. It cuts to William Regals office to show Finn Balor and Regal watching the match, Balor noticeably shocked, Regal is just stoically watching the match with his hand on his chin. It cuts back to the ring, the remaining six paired off.
Rhyno and Gable are the next ones out. Rhyno eliminated by Gable, Gable by Storm. The final four pair off, Corbin and Joe, Apollo Crews and Storm. The four go back and forth for a bit before Storm is eliminated. Corbin wastes no time trying to capitalize and sending Crews over the top rope, but Crews moves and sends Corbin springing off the ropes and into a Dropkick, that make the crowd pop. Crews and Joe trade reversals, strikes , and moves, before Corbin is back up and both work together to Double Clothesline him over the top.
" And we're down to two. " states Corey Graves.
Joe and Crews shake hands. Crews tries for a grapple when they separate but Joe ducks it and hits a flurry of right hands. He tries to toss Crews out, but Crews lands on his feet on the apron. Joe backs off into the middle of the ring. Crews hops over the ropes only to be jumped by Joe. After both men match each other move for move, Joe gains the upper hand after dodging a Dropkick. He quickly locks in The Kokina Clutch. After it's clear Crews has passed out, Joe pulls him up and tosses him over the top rope. The crowd pop as the bell rings and Joe is announced as the winner. It shows Regal and Balor in Regals office applauding. The commentators congratulate Joe before switching focus to the main event.
Samoa Joe wins, last eliminating Crews in 20:00One last commercial airs before a recap of The Battle Royal final six airs as the commentators synopsize the ending stretch.
Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy vs. Ten-KojiAmore/Cassidy's music hits to a huge pop. Amore comes running out, Cassidy not far behind. Enzo goes through his schtick, the crowd following along, before getting in the ring. Before he can continue Ten-Kojis music hits. They come out and get into the ring. Hiroyoshi Tenzan grabs the mic, and growls "Wrestle!" before thrusting the mic back into Enzo's chest. Him and Satoshi Kojima take off their stuff as do Enzo and Cass. Enzo starts it off with Kojima. They work simple stuff for a few minutes, before Enzo keeps a hold on Kojimas arm and tags in Cass. As Cass comes in, Kojima pulls his arm away. He goes over to Tenzan and tags out. Cass and Tenzan brawl more then they do wrestle. Tenzan gains control and holds Cass in the corner tagging in Kojima. Kojima lays into Cass' chest with his rapid flurry of chops.
Ten-Koji keep control with simple tag work, showing their experience. Cass eventually makes the tag to Enzo, which send the match back into a back and forth pace, with neither gaining a solid advantage. As the match goes on, the ca,era focuses on Kojima, when suddenly something this across the small of the back. The camera zooms out, when the man pulls Kojima off the apron and those him in the back again.
"It's Tyler Breeze!" exclaims Saxton
" He said he was placing himself back in the front of the line. And I guess this is his way of doing it after losing The Battle Royal." Graves remarks.
Breeze enters the ring and strikes Tenzan across the back of the shoulders with his stick. Enzo gets hit in the midsection and back, Cass gets hit in the knee once while standing, twice once he's on the ground. The crowd booing, Breeze pulls the fluff off, revealing it's not his selfie stick but a lead pipe. The commentators wonder where things will go from here. It ends with Breeze walking up the ramp, not looking back.
Amore/Cassidy and Ten-Koji wrestle to a no contest in 15:00.
