It would be so awesome if we got that Owen Hart NOD figure in the danger outfit down the road. I know I'm dreaming a bit here lol

Well, sorry. Hopefully they could realize they made a mistake and fix the voting system. Voting didnt matter. Mattel had those figures made up and ready to go. We were going to get them no matter who we voted for. Everyone that voted for Arn & Tully also voted for Windham and he finished like 7th. The voting was just to gauge interest in the lineup. Mattel was still going to put out who they wanted. let's also not forget how Miss Elizabeth got the most votes, and was slated to be the 6th figure released that year, only for them to decide to put her out at regular retail instead. at one every other case no less to boot.

Still, I wish that the Mattel prototype on display looked a little more like this. What a fantastic sculpt it could have been. I don't follow you. The render looks exactly the same as the figure, just slightly more "rough" and displayed at a slightly different angle. What are you seeing as different? This version actually looks like Faarooq from his time in the Nation. The skin tone is the closest match that I've seen for him, and you can see the age in his face and hair color. As far as I'm concerned, the figure pictured with Rocky Maivia is an inaccurate representation of his career at that point.

Did anyone ask Bill about Snuka? We know the answer to that though already, don't we? I think it's an assumption, albeit a safe one. But I think it can bring closure for those who wanted one if Bill can give us the definitive answer, same as he did with NWO Hogan.

I am blown away by the stuff shown today. That Savage is a dream figure for me and the Heenan was very much worth waiting for. Rude is pretty much perfect, as is Bulldog. The accessories show such love and attentiveness to the source material, particular DiBiase's basketball.
It is a little sad that the Classic line will still feel sort of incomplete without more Hogans, but there's nothing they could've done about that.

I Instantly thought of bad boys series 4 as well! Faarooq looks great! there are def some things i like about that faarooq. The removeable belt and hat. The arms. the skintone, long neck and thiqueness are what throwing me off. it looks very much like the old BCA Faarooq from series 4 bad boys ChicagoThat it does. Eighteen years later and Faarooq's all grown up with accessories and articulation. Still, I wish that the Mattel prototype on display looked a little more like this. What a fantastic sculpt it could have been.

Mattel had amazing stuff on display today! The only fig I can pick out as being underwhelming is the Kevin Owens (and yes, I'm aware it was put under premium rush as to get it out ASAP). A plastic shirt à la B45 Mankind would have given the fig at least the appearance of his "bulk." It wouldn't have even required the usual molded sleeves. The headscan looks good, but I'll wait for his Elite, probably his main roster look, with his "Fight Owens Fight" shorts.
Besides that and the shirtless Cena in E40, outstanding work from Bill and Mattel. My wallet will be getting quite a workout over the next few months!
