Yeah, another Ringsidefest post!
The main reason I attended RSF was to meet Seth Rollins and to get a few things signed. Over the past few weeks I put together a custom Defining Moments elite figure based off of Seth's white & gold Summerslam attire. I got a little adventurous and made a custom DM box for it as well. I couldn't wait to have Seth sign and to see his reaction to it. He was a little surprised at first. He said he didn't know they were even making anything based off of that attire...that's when I explained how it came to be. As a customizer, having someone mistake your work for a factory made product is probably the best compliment you can receive He even inscribed it, "The future is NOW" when he signed it. I'm really pleased with how it came out.
(My apologies for the intrusive watermarks. Recently some folks have taken it upon themselves to steal my custom photos and spread them as their own)
Seth was even cool with me snapping a picture of him holding it! The RSC crew were really cool. They had so many nice things to say about my work and didn't give me a hard time about taking the quick snapsot and not counting that as my "1 photo op".
If you're curious about the figure, here are the details:
It's a DM Razor Ramon box. The name banner, side photos, and back of the box have been customized. Each side has a different photo from Summerslam. The box insert that's visible behind the figure is fully customized as well. It has half of the Heavyweight title on one side and half of the US title on the other. The Heavyweight title is customized as well. It was originally a the scratch logo belt from an elite Rock figure (I think) with the new logo for the main plate and the "SR" side plates. The back of the box has images of both belts and a small write up about the match.
As far as the figure is concerned, its a Legends Steamboat, E37 head with the hair re-painted, E37 vest (re-painted), Dbry calves/boots/pads.
I also brought an E37 elite for Seth to sign:
While I was there I had Dolph Ziggler sign my MITB replica briefcase. I had this custom made before WWE started sellint the plastic versions:
Please don't bother responding with the "OMFG WHY DID YOU HAVE ANY1 BUTT SETHROLLINS SIGN ITZ?!" I'm trying to get as many former MITB winners on the case. For some reason people on these forums have felt the need to let me know how bad of an idea that is lol.
I was a little upset with Dolph's lack of hip swiveling at the event but he signature came out pretty well, so I guess we broke even:
In a non RSF related note, I was at an nWo meet & greet last weekend. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and X-pac were there. I had this bad boys signed for only $60 (plus that price included a group photo!)
Last but not least, a friend of mine was able to meet JBL a few weeks ago and he got this signed for me as well:
Hope everyone had a great time at Ringsidefest. Thanks for looking
