As a long term Kane mark its great to see him still going and so glad he appears to finally have a decent storyline going too.
Well done Glenn and thank you!

That's one of my top matches, and the ending was certainly a surprise. Kane was just enormous back then and his entrance was a sweet. I can't believe it's been 18 years, but watching the first-ever HIAC hasn't lost any of its initial shine.

Kane and The Undertaker are why I watch wrestling so I am happy to see Kane is still alive and well, and back in a menacing form.

I was watching at the time and Kane immediately became my favorite wrestler once Bret Hart left for WCW.

I remember how annoying I thought Kane's match was at Survivor Series, because they dimmed all the lights and just had a red lights appear for his match. Thankfully that stopped happening.

Its been 18 years and Hell In A Cell is not the biggest blow off match in wrestling.......what a god damn travesty.
That match should have been the WWE's biggest blow off option for a feud....instead it's a throwaway PPV and so overdone that nobody see's the Cell in 2015 and thinks "Man these two absolutely hate each other, this is gonna be brutal, they are going to tear each other apart".
Such a god damn waste.

Happy 18 years! Kane was always my favorite; he had such a great a debut. Glad he's still around, and his current angle is pretty damn good. Also, 18 years ago we lost Brian Pillman

Kane will forever be on top of the category of "Talent that deserved better" IMO. As big and as scary as he once was, WWE should have made him an unstoppable monster. Instead he had one short WWE championship reign, became a comedy character, and lost to guys he had no business in losing to.

It's amazing to think that when he debuted as Kane, there were some people saying that once his feud with Undertaker was done, he would be gone, that the character was a short time thing, and here we are almost 2 decades later, and he's still here.

He has been such a legend of the business. I don't expect to see the back of Kane for a very long time.

I remember reading on a dirt sheet website that Kane was meant to be a short-term character and was going to be written off after losing the first inferno match against Undertaker.
I have no idea if there's any truth to that or not. However, 18 years being Kane is a long time.

I started watching in 2002, and Kane was one of my favorites. When he returned with the half mask, I was a full fledged Kane mark at 9.
When he was unmasked and had his run throughout the summer and end of 2003, all the way to his match with Undertaker at WrestleMania, he was one of my favorites.
I didn't really enjoy much from 2005-2009, his World Championship run with Bearer was great for nostalgia.
I'd love to see them book him similar to 2003 one more time.

I have no idea if there's any truth to that or not. However, 18 years being Kane is a long time. I don't think that's true Bash Prichard, Moody & Cornette confirm that this role was given to Jacobs as his absolute last chance within WWF as a favour to The Undertaker.....and that it absolutely had to work. Moody, Prichard UT, Ross & Cornette all had heavy input into the character and his booking from the start. UT worked with Jacobs extensively on his in ring movements and style too. Basically it was because Jacobs and UT were such great buddies that the whole thing worked. UT used every ounce of pull he had to get the character over and Jacobs worked like crazy not to let his buddy down.....and even at that it took Vince a while to warm to Kane......none of them said anything about him being a short term character.....but for all I know Jacobs come out and say different on a Kane DVD 2 years down the road. Although all say they were worried about what would happen post UT.....but it worked out well for him until 2003.
