I love it!! John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Nikki and Brie, the Bella Twins would make a great Stable in the WWE. John Cena, Bryan Danielson, and Nicole and Brianna, the Garcia - Colace Twins would make a great Stable in any promotion. Their Stable name should be Bell-2-Bell, in reference to the “Bella Twins” name, and the fact that Cena and Bryan can go from opening match to Main Event. John Cena, Daniel Bryan, the Bella Twins, John Laurinitis (who is marrying Mama Bella) and Road Warrior Animal would be the #2 family in wrestling after the McMahons. I can see it now…Laurinitis’ Aces!! The Ace Of Hearts – Brianna The Ace of Diamonds – Nicole The Ace of Clubs – Bryan Danielson The Ace of Spades – John Cena Led by…The Ace of Aces – Johnny “Ace” Laurinitis And for $#!+s and giggles…The Wildcard – Road Warrior Animial

Or another media mogul/billionaire decided to take an interest in the wrestling world like Mark Cuban or even Rupert Murdoch who owns FOX decided to throw all their money behind GFW or even TNA or even ROH and then all the big name talent in WWE decided to jump ship to "the other side" then yes the Monday Night Wars 2.0 would be born

I don't believe so. TNA tried and that lasted about 3 weeks. 3 weeks? Well, aren't you being generous.

Another one of these threads, eh?
I believe my answer in the last one was 'Absolutely not.'

While wrestling could potentially get "hot" again in the mainstream, i don't think there will ever be a climate for another Monday Night War scale rivalry. Lots of people have made valid points in this thread as to why, but let me add another reason why its doubtful. Raw and Nitro started splitting the audience in fall of 95 and the real competition between them revved up in 96. The internet was still relatively young, things like Netflix and various versions of on demand entertainment and even the DVR were not yet viable options like they are today. The venues for entertainment in todays market gives people alternatives all the time . Getting that many eyes on pro wrestling on a Monday night, weekly , is still possible, but i don't think the atmosphere is conducive for it to be a split audience for two different ,simulcast brands. With the WWE Network now, i would suggest WWEs biggest wrestling related competition ,is itself. Fans can go back an watch damn near anything from different eras of predominantly better booking. Which is frustrating because the in ring talent pool they have now is arguably the highest quality roster they've ever had.

realistically? no. wrestling is at a standstill, might attract new fans, but this generation will never like wrestling the way previous ones did. the numbers between nitro and raw were insane

Like everyone pretty much everyone else has said, we'd need a Pro Wrestling NOAH situation to get a new Monday Night War situation going on.

If one company can somehow get a live TV deal that airs the same time as RAW or SmackDown and say Randy Orton competes in the opener on RAW and then heads over to the competition and competes in their main event, I'll say no. I'd be fine for ROH or GFW to go against RAWs second hour or against SmackDown for a bit. Be interesting.

Never.
Anything can happen, but the Monday Night Wars were a perfect storm at the perfect time. I can never see there being another Monday Night War because realistically there's not enough money in the world to fund a rival wrestling company in the billions, from scratch, because that's what it would take.
Unfortunately, Ted Turner was a one off. The world needs more typhoon wrestling fans.
What I can see, however, is another boom period. There's so many talented workers around the world, nothing will rival WWE but NXT is an example of the global expansion that WWE are capable of creating. Developing new stars and working with already established independant talent can only help increase the status of the business as a whole. Like prime time TV in the 90's, I can see WWEs current social media stranglehold having a massive affect on any potential "boom" period.
Only WWE can rival WWE, so as a fan, I'd definately welcome some more "in house" competition which could rival the main roster.

Realistically no. The problem is nobody has the "name" that WWE has right now. I mean, if WWE were to sell the rights to WCW to someone like Mark Cuban or Rupert Murdoch where they not only had millions to put into a company but would also have a place to air their shows, then after a couple years it *could* be possible but nothing like that is ever going to happen. For instance, Mark Cuban would have to get "name rights" that people would know like WCW...which Vince will never sell. Then they're going to have to stars that have some sort of name power and thus you'd have to dig into TNA, ROH and other Indy rosters and even then you're still going to have to hope for some big name WWE guys who are actually relevant, like a Sheamus, Randy Orton, Cena to be willing to jump ship. While highly unlikely you'd have to "change the game" so to speak to get a big name guy to do that. For instance, guaranteed contracts changed wrestling especially in the MNW era. WCW would guarantee a contract to a WWE guy and they would jump ship, thus making WWE change the way they contracted wrestlers. So you would again have to change the game to lure guys away. The only real thing I can think of would be to insure them. Giving guys medical insurance plus a benefits package for as they got older might make some guys slide to the other side. But its all hypothetical, I cant honestly see any thing like that ever happening. Unless I win a $300million dollar lottery and then play again a couple weeks later and win it again....Then Vince is gonna be in for a war!

Need a billionaire who loves wrestling, spending money and pushing the limits. Find that and find your Monday night war.
