I mean Triple H had so many great rivals in his career that who in your eyes would be his greatest? I mean there are so many like Austin, Rock, Angle, Taker, Shawn, Lesnar, Cena, Orton, really it is like a who's who of superstars past and present that you can really take your pick

Yes Shawn Michaels vs Triple H definitely would have to be the rivalry that I think defines Triple H's whole career I mean their rivalry pretty much spanned from 2002 to 2004 and during that time their rivalry pretty much is what kept RAW ratings high during that time but also during that rivalry there was actually legit heat there between Shawn and Hunter back in the day

I would say it has to be The Rock.
From 1996 - 2002, Triple H vs. The Rock has taken place at least once. In 1998 they had a bitter feud over the IC Title, in 1999 they wrestled each other at four PPVs, and in 2000 they wrestled each other at six PPV events.
The feud with HBK was barbaric at times, but the one with The Rock lasted longer and never really went away.

Or how about Triple H's feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin especially because that feud ran from 1999 to 2001 but even so I think that feud had much more steam than his feud with Rock

People saying HBK are showing a real lack of understanding of a rival and history. Your greatest rival isnt someone who you are best mates with one minute then hate the next and then kiss and make up again.
Your greatest rival is someone who you constantly hate and compete against through out history. That would be the Rock in HHH's case. Just go and look in the pics above.
