Lets get back on the subject of Reigns terrible mic skills. Not feeding into tough internet trolls. Sorry. I'm new here. I would agree with the idea that Reigns would be more intriguing as a heel, and could maybe result in more natural promos based on his interviews about his struggles with the fans. Wrestlers seem to be able to speak better when there's a natural element to it. I.E. Pipebomb, Daniel Bryan's post Wrestlemania 30 Promo, Rock/Cena 1

ok. thanks.
Reigns has also been a victim of poor storylines or poor endings to storylines as of late. His promo seemed offsetting because all of a sudden it's just back to Roman and his family and his feud when we've been watching a 4 to 5 to 6 person feud for the last few months.
It was a sudden shift back to the original beginnings of the feud so it felt even more unnatural.

Yeah hesnot too ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) in good with promos but I bet money he can cut a better promo then any you smarks. Because it's about what the FANS can do... It does not matter that the guy that is supposed to be the next big thing can't cut a good Promo like Austin, Rock or even Super Cena(who might had tons of lame Promos in the past but still had better promos than Reigns). No it's all about Roman Reigns' Abilities and the Fans' Abilities. That's the only thing that needs to be compared with each other! ![::)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/rolleyes.gif)

Why the hell does he even get mic time? he has such an imposing look and some bad ass moves, his actions should do all his talking. He should hit the ring, kick some ass and then leave, similar to what Goldberg did.

They should just let Ambrose do his promos. All Reigns has to say is believe that.

For me this is further proof that the stand there middle of the ring holding a mic promos are ridiculous. These need to go. Announcers can tell the story. Sit down interviews reacting to questions. Backstage 2 min interviews etc UFC type promos this is the way too go.
I am in no way shape or form believer that Reigns should be the next face of the company but overall the type of promos I listed above play to more guys strengths on the roster than not.

This is why I hate the fans and their stupid chants. They are ruining the show. I'm not much of a Reigns fan, and that promo was terrible, but the idiots in the crowd are messing up the show. Its disrespectful to the wrestlers, disruptive to the people who actually want to watch the show, and in this case it completely threw Reigns off. Yes, to an extent its on him to ignore and rise above, but when you're being groomed as Cena's replacement you also kind of have the responsibility to turn a negative into a positive. On another level its difficult to pay attention and get into the show when 6 jackasses in the front are chanting "Husky Harris", or when 500 loud, loser overgrown infants start chanting "we are awesome". No you aren't, you are idiots who deserve to be burned alive. There's getting involved, and then there's disrespectful frat house jackassery, and that's what i don't like. It wasn't a good promo to begin with, but this was a perfect example of 'What' really derailing a segment. I'll admit Reigns has been improving quite a bit since the beginning of the year when the hate was at a fever pitch, but Monday did him no favors. Also, is it just me, or is he....thickening in the torso? He looked pretty sausaged into that vest on Monday to the point that I thought his eyes were going to pop out of the sockets.

Reigns is an awful face right now. The only way the WWE can get people to cheer him more is if they give him a heel Cena to feud with (will never happen). It would be a situation of people choosing the lesser of 2 evils.

im kinda thinking that all this "Reigns is being groomed" stuff is just talk. The WWE has clearly cooled off on the guy, he's been in a mid-card feud since like May. He's being protected, yes, and winning ALL the time, yes...but no more than any other main event level babyface (Orton)...I don't really see them making him the next top guy. Just because it's been written on the internet, doesnt make it 100% true. I'm not even sure what the ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) this company is doing anymore, they aren't making people want to watch the product thats for damn sure

I'm sure there's already a thread, but I hate Chicago crowds. Quit with the "what" and the freaking Husky Harris chants. So lame.

At times, I wished the WWE would go really long stretches of not doing shows in Chicago Rosemont, Illinois. I do see that hot crowds can make a show but when the crowd goes into business for themselves, it is a detriment to the show. It is one of many reasons why I can't go to wrestling shows these days.

He would get good reactions against Big Show but where does it go from there? There is not a heel in the WWE right now that Reigns can work with where he will get a more positive reaction than his opponent. I truly believe the only thing that can save this guys career is a heel turn. He will grow so much more as a performer. Then they can go about the money matches of Heel Reigns Vs Cena/Rollins/Ambrose and whoever they decide to call up from NXT. Plays the heel for a year then eventually they can reform The Shield like they want to. Reigns aligns himself as a good guy with Rollins and Ambrose to defeat whatever Corporate bullsh*t they are going through. They obviously want to do Reigns Vs Cena but where Reigns is right now, I have no idea how the crowd will react to it. For the love of God turn this guy heel.

I Completely disagree...I put full blame on the WWE. The Chicago crowd paid their money they can do whatever they want. To be fair to them, RAW has put on crappy shows for over a month now. They are only going into business for themselves because they aren't being entertained, so they HAVE to entertain themselves. WWE knows better than to give Reigns mic time like that because nobody wants to watch that. It isn't entertaining. If every crowd was like the Chicago crowd then maybe the WWE would give more effort into putting together a good show instead of just shoving people like Reigns down our throats and having the crowd just sit there and take it. IF the product sucks, then the crowd has every right to tell them so. They bought the tickets

It's a hot wrestling crowd that was given a really terrible Raw. If WWE brings that weak crap into a hot market, they get what they deserve.

He should have turned heel instead of Seth, Triple H could have done the talking for him then.

IF the product sucks, then the crowd has every right to tell them so. They bought the tickets The talent in the WWE is being given a set of guidelines to follow. It is up to the performer to run with it and turn chicken **** into chicken salad. Roman Reigns' promo from this past Monday is merely a guy trying to turn that **** into salad. Reigns was given such poor material. The crowd in Rosemont, Illinois decided to go into business for themselves. It isn't justified how the crowd in Philadelphia booed Reigns at the Royal Rumble. I am going to get a lot of heat for this but I don't care. Wrestling fans (mainly the hardcore) clamor for new top level guys. It isn't up to the fans who decide who should be the top draw. It is up to the machine to give those guys the shot. Let me put this into perspective for everybody. When John Cena got hired, Jim Ross told Vince McMahon this guy is going to main event WrestleMania in five years. McMahon being the person who he is, laughed at Ross. Look at how Cena became a household name since being signed 15 years ago. Another good example is Randy Orton. When Nightmare Danny Davis appeared on Kim Cornette's podcast, Davis mentioned that McMahon too wasn't high on Orton because of how he left the military. Like Cena, Randy Orton became a household name. All thanks to the machine giving them the chance. Hell, I remember both Orton and Cena weren't well received when they debuted. Going back to Roman Reigns. The machine wants new guys to market. Cena is nearing the twilight of his career and Orton want's to reduce his workload. Reigns is being poised to be the next WWE Champion. The machine and the fans have to give him the chance to exceed expectations. I do agree that Reigns shouldn't be cutting 5-15 minute long promos. A promo that is less than five minutes is sufficient for Reigns. As I alluded to earlier, Reigns is being give incredibly bad material that doesn't mesh well with his persona. The crowd doesn't do anybody favors on the main roster. Being given bad material is one of many things hindering progression. As far as being at the arena, nobody is pointing a gun to their head to go. The whole premise of attending a wrestling event is to have a good time and be entertained. The fans draw the line when they entertain themselves and making themselves look foolish. Much like how these fans cat call performers at the Hall of Fame.

But that is the problem with the current product. They ARE NOT giving anybody that chance to be a big star. Austin, Rock, even Cena all became big stars because they we're already over and then got the big push. it's simple logic. I know it is a different era but did you ever see anybody boo Austin in any arena? of course not cause he was over and everyone liked him. There have been tons and tons of wrestlers that we're way more over with the crowd and never got the opportunity that they are giving Reigns who isn't even over yet. They force things instead of letting it happen organically. Austin got over organically, so did rock and hbk and taker etc. Cena hasn't been over in a decade and Reigns has never been over as a singles wrestler. Wait til people love someone first and then pull the trigger. it's an easy concept they keep blowing
