Ok so I just finished up watching PWG BOLA last night and during night 2 guess who I saw in the crowd. None other than Bill himself. Now I was wondering, could Mattel or Bill try and go after another wrestling company as well as WWE, or could he makes a wrestling figures line name it something else and release figures for guys in PWG in limited runs. I know Bill had to be going crazy from the designs and outfits of guys like Drago, Fenix and Aerostar. Chris Hero wore a different attire for every match. Marty Scurll had sweet accessories his umbrella, glasses and coat.
Or do you see any of these guys getting a WWE contract then possibly getting a WWE figure?
I know another company is doing something with indie/legends already but this is just a post to stir up some discussion not something to take serious and for something Bill has to do.
So in short if you dont want to read all that above, can bill make a separate line and make some indie guys or he can only make WWE figures.
I would only want elites for these guys btw.

If Mattel was to license another line of professional wrestling figures while under contract with WWE it would be a HUGE conflict of interest and I would hope WWE was smart enough to prevent them from doing so when signing on with them initially.
Did you ever think Bill was at the PWG show because he likes rasslin'??

There probably aren't enough kids who watch anything outside of WWE & who would buy independant wrestlers.

I'm a big fan. Bill's been at a lot of PWG shows over the last couple of years.
Unfortunately, he can only make figures Mattel has the rights to. So in this case, unless their under a WWE deal they're off the table.
I would love to see Mattel make an El Generico and the Young Bucks, though.

Can he do like a seperate line with Mattel. Make them online exclusive to RSC maybe. People on here would probably buy them if they looked good enough. This is all a fantasy scenario though.

Not unless their former WWE talent who come to a deal with Mattel and/or WWE. Legally, I'm sure he could if the talent signs a deal with Mattel. However, I don't think the higher-ups would sign off on it.

If nobody is buying the Del Rios and CM Punk figures that are leftover, I'm sure the vast majority of casual fans aren't going to care about PWG stars.

Like others have said Mattel can't and won't make figures of other promotions especially Indy wrestlers. They wouldn't be able to make or sell enough to make them at a reasonable price point either.

It was awesome having Bill on the boards and him dropping hints and shedding some light. It sucks how the good ones always have to pay for the bad apples.

I got into PWG about 2012ish. I have been hooked ever since. I would LOVE to own PWG figures. Hell, I am anxiously waiting for a day where Mattel makes some sort of miraculous change to where they can still do WWE figures AND do Lucha Underground, ROH, PWG, New Japan, CZW, TNA all past and present. Something like that would change the wrestling figure market forever if people can own figures from any and every company. That is why the Vinyl Pop figures are so popular. Never would have thought I can own a line of any figures where Steve Austin, CM Punk, Macho Man, John Lennon, Ozzy Osbourne, Freddy Kruger and Michael Jackson can all be at the same or similar scale and be in the same line. That is the simple reason why these things are popular. So realistically now, no I cannot see Mattel making PWG figures however, I do think he can somehow have a corporate discussion to arrange Regal or another talent scout to check out a guy like Drago or take inspirations from his character attire and add it into a CAS line or something like that.
But like I said, I am optimistically waiting for the day I can have a Necro Butcher, a Pentagon Figure, a John Zandig Figure, a Brusier Brody figure, a Super Dragon figure, and a Mick Foley figure all in the same scale. Until then, gotta deal with what we got which still is pretty darn good.

Bill was simply there as a fan, he's been there before. THe bright side is there's potential for many PWG guys to end up in WWE.
