Looking at Sheamus.
Knowing who will win the Royal Rumble weeks in advance.
The lack of people who can cut a good promo.
Bringing back old stars to lose to people over and over, reducing the credibility (Jericho, RVD).

Agree TOTALLY with this. The stupid 'WHAT?' chants completely ruin in-ring promos. I detest this aswell. It's nice to finally have someone agree with me on this but I think we're in the minority. I wish Austin had never started it. It was useless, made no mwney, and has successfully ruined multiple promos of the past 13 years. Also something that really annoys me is how some people will say "so and so was or is the best ever" because it's their favorite wrestler. CM Punk is one of those guys.

Women's wrestling still being a joke on the main roster.
WWE creative not having back-up plans already in place in case of injuries.

Little in-ring psychology anymore. Most matches have devolved into finisher fests where someone hits a finisher, kick out, and repeat about 50 times before the match ends. All it does is make matches repetitive and kills finishers.
What happened to someone working their opponents shoulder or knee throughout a match. It rarely happens anyone and annoys the crap out of me. Jericho/Regal had a 8 minute match at WM17 yet Regal worked the shoulder the whole match to work towards his finisher. Cena simply slaps on an STFU and its auto tap out even though he did nothing to build towards it.

Wrestling fans who act like it's a sin to like John Cena or Batista a lot. The hate for them has receded at least. I'm proud to say I'm a Batista fan since 2002. I've enjoyed most of the things the guy has done and hate people bash him for being a "big" guy.

But how does it? I agree with everything else you said, but that stands out. Many movies/TV Shows have told great stories with a PG rating or less. Let me ask you this. If Stone Cold debuted this year, Does Steve Austin get over today and become the biggest draw in wrestling history with the PG restrictions? My hypothesis is no, no chance. And there in lies the problem. Who else are they holding back by severely limiting what can and can't be said on WWE programming. As for other TVPG shows telling great stories, I've mentioned this in the past threads, almost every cable network has moved towards a TV14 and TVMA. Almost all of the critical acclaimed series are 14 and above. The trend in TV was to move towards more gritty mature programming and WWE went in the exact opposite direction. While I agree that PG is an issue, the bigger issue is the booking. Austin wouldn't get over today because he'd be booked like crap. Vince was competent in the 90s, and Strve said himself they had the freedom to write there own promos. Steve said he'd never survive today because everything is written and booked so poorly. Nobody has the freedom to add to there characters anymore.

1. This is awesome chants. I remember being at King of the Ring 2001. When Angle suplexed Shane through the glass wall; there were only ooohs, applauds, and holy s*** chants. No stupid This is awesome chants. 2. Audiences chanting holy $*** at stupid things. I remember when Brock Lesnar returned and the crowd chanting holy $***. Why? I don't get why does this deserve that chant. Other times when we see someone gets put through the announce table I hear the chant, but why? We see this all the time. I believe this chant is only warranted if we see someone goes through a flaming table or something new that looks painful. Seeing things live is much much different then seeing things on TV every week. Seeing it with your own eyes live gives it more gravitas. Plus not everyone has seen everything a million times. I'm a little late, but this is true. I saw a superplex for the first time Friday and it was incredible to see right in front of me.

When WWE tries to appear mainstream by mentioning the NFL, celebrities or any other popular people or entities not related to professional wrestling in the same breath as themselves.
The WWE is not on the same level as anything they name drop. Their ratings say so. It just make them look like desperate posers.
