I could be alone on this, but I really dug Jim playing Taker's theme on piano, and I would be for an entire WWE album to be released with various WWE theme songs just done on the piano. It's pretty soothing and sounds unique. Do yourself a favour, look for a guy on YouTube called Lucas King, look at his playlists. He has done this.

Read an article on why they are not going to induct him into the WWE HOF, at least not yet... Article by BleacherReportI personally think it's a cop-out excuse, but there are a lot of behind-the-scene guys that don't get the credit they deserve. Basically they say that they need a physical loaction of WWE HOF to properly showcase his work... I think it's just a matter of time TBH... Wasn't this why Ultimate Warrior wanted that Warrior Award thing in the first place? For these "behind the scenes" guys? I'm all for Connor getting it last year but that award would be perfect for someone like Johnston. Plus, Dana Warrior has more charisma than 80% of the current roster. Knowing WWE, they'd eff it up and the first inductee would be Dunn. they took what warrior was talking about and made it something it wasn't the award was supposed to be for like the ring crew, people that rig up the lighting and set up that stage and do all the backstage stuff but I guess wwe didn't wanna do that cause they couldn't get as much publicity as if they leeched off some poor kid getting cancer to make themselves look good

Said it many times, but the day Undertaker retires, he needs to leave the Ring with JJ's acoustic and harmonic piano version to 'send him into the light'.

I always wanted a full blown orchestra to play Taker to the ring in his last match.
But if we can't get that I say just put Johnson out there playing his theme on piano. That was beautiful.

Been saying this for years. Two entrances i've wanted to see for Taker is entering on a black or white horse and for him to enter to a full orchestra

Got goosebumps when he was playing the theme on the piano.

For those who are interested, they actually have a special on the network with him discussing the process of creating some other themes. It's called "Signature Sounds" under the 'Beyond the Ring' section of Originals. Kinda hard to find but really interesting.

Something else WWF had over WCW wad the titan tron. The videos were cool for entrances, and WCW would have backstage brawls that the live audience couldnt see.

WWF definitely had better themes than WCW. I think WCW had some good themes that are still cool to this day but the composers probably didn't intend for them to be more than just a theme put together real quick. Jim or Jimmy Hart put together themes, I'm sure with the belief they were going to be something important, special or defining and for the most part-they were.

Jim Johnson was a phenomenal composer for the WWE, and I truly believe a number of guys wouldn't have gone on to have the careers that they did if they weren't fitted by JJ with the perfect entrance music. He absolutely deserves a spot in the HOF. The new guy who does most of the themes now has sucked with the exception of a handful.
