I have a whole spiel about how hate is the underlying cause of it all, but greed's not a bad answer either.

I don't think that matters to them right now anybody that isn't ISIS is just collateral damage That kind of thinking is why ISIS exists. just to be clear that is NOT my opinion or way of thinking I was just saying that is how the government views it. they don't care about collateral damage as long as they get their desired outcome

I misunderstood your point. I'm not really sure where everyone wants these people to go. Many countries are shutting their borders, leaving other dangerous areas as the only option for many of these would-be refugees. Why leave an area where you could be killed just to go on a long and dangerous journey that could kill you only to end up in another dangerous place where you could be killed? I don't blame these people for not wanting to leave their homelands. Unfortunately, there are many spoiled Americans who think that everyone had it as easy as we do and has the same options on line as us. Sometimes "why don't you just leave?" really isn't an option

Sometimes "why don't you just leave?" really isn't an option i agree there is only so much space on planet earth everybody cant just up & leave and for most people to just up and move isn't a financially viable option so I agree while its easy to say "just leave" it isn't always an option most of them wouldn't want to leave their homes and the only life they have ever known anyways so i can't say i blame them for wanting to stay plus bad stuff could happen if you stay & bad stuff could happen if you go Its kinda a damned if you do damned if you don't situation
