WWE went in to the new year strong as they could be with some key players still out with injury. John Cena had returned and made his intentions clear on winning the Royal Rumble for a third time and going on to Wrestlemania to dethrone The Authorities new head boy, Roman Reigns. There would be a big road block in his way however as Paul Heyman would interrupt that same promo by Cena to announce that for the first time in 13 years, Brock Lesnar would be entering the Royal Rumble match, and not only winning again, but go on to Wrestlemania to claim back a championship that he was never pinned to lose in the first place.

Royal Rumble 2016:
The show opens surprisingly with the famous gong of the Undertaker, who hasn't been seen since his Survivor Series match with the Wyatt Family. Taker makes his way down to the ring and once inside, after the fans have quieted down says in his gravely voice "There comes a time when every soul must find peace. There comes a time, when every man must stop doing what he loves. Wrestlemania 32, that time has come. I will make my challenge known tonight, and win or lose, The Undertaker will finally Rest in Peace." The crowd were in shock as The Undertaker unexpectedly announces his retirement for Wrestlemania 32 but a huge "Thank you Taker" chant breaks out.
1) The Dudley Boyz def. The New Day via pinfall to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships. 2) Charlotte def. Becky Lynch via submission to retain the WWE Diva's Championship. 3) Alberto Del Rio def. Jack Swagger via pinfall to retain the WWE United States Championship. 4) Sasha Banks def. Paige via pinfal. 5) Roman Reigns def. Cesaro via pinfall to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The time had come for the annual Royal Rumble match. Some fans were nervous as the past two previous years left the match with a lot to be desired, but WWE were out to set things right with this years match.
1) Dean Ambrose 2) Chris Jericho 3) The Miz 4) Neville 5) Heath Slater 6) Zack Ryder 7) Tatanka 8) Tyler Breeze 9) Dolph Ziggler 10) Kevin Owens 11) Jimmy Uso 12) Kofi Kingston 13) X Pac 14) Rusev 15) Brock Lesnar 16) Kalisto 17) Big E Langston 18) Barin Corbin 19) John Cena 20) Daniel Bryan 21) Jay Uso 22) Alberto Del Rio 23) Xiever Woods 24) Kane 25) Sin Cara 26) Sheamus 27) Stardust 28) Goldust 29) King Barrett 30) Ryback
Main moments:
Dean Ambrose and a TV return for Chris Jericho started the match off, rekindling their feud that started and never continued from six man tag match against the Wyatts, the previous summer. The match carried on as number till number seven where another surprise entrant in Tatanka appeared. Tatanka got a nice pop, and was surprisingly still in workable shape. Rusev/Breeze/Ziggler continued their feud, battling each other in the match till the arrival of Brock Lesnar at number 15. After Lesnar eliminated several people, there was an awesome staredown with Rusev and Lesnar that even saw Rusev surprised Lesnar with his spinning wheel kick, knocking "The Beast" off his feet. Rusev stalked Lesnar to his feet and charged at him, clearly looking to knock him over the ropes only for Lesnar to pick Rusev off his feet and deliver an F5, in the process throwing Rusev over the ropes, to the floor below.
Suddenly a theme song played across the PA System, even tho there was no number countdown. The crowd were in shock as Batista slid in to the ring, after jumping the barricade and spearing Brock Lesnar down to the ground. Batista clearly wasn't in the match, but he quickly grabbed Lesnar and threw him over the ropes to eliminate him from the match. Security ran down to the ring as Triple H appeared yelling at his former Evolution partner, asking why he was here. Batista grinned as security removed him while Lesnar was seen screaming "you son of a bitch, I'm coming for you"
John Cena arrived at number 19 and cleared house till it was down to just Cena, Owens and Ambrose. All three men were down as Cena was surprised with a Dirty Deeds from Ambrose, who stayed down as well due to being in the match since the very start. The countdown started and the crowed screamed with joy as the returning unannounced Daniel Bryan made his way down to the ring. Bryan immediately hit his comeback sequence on Kevin Owens before eliminating from the match and at this point, Ambrose and Cena were both on their knees. Bryan would hit the yes kicks on both men before roundhouse kicking Ambrose in the head. Bryan would look to do the same to Cena, but John would duck the kick, then deliver the Attitude Adjustment, to ground Bryan. Suddenly, Cena is the only man standing as the lights go out and the gong of the Undertaker is heard for the second time of the night. The lights come back on and The Undertaker is standing in front of Cena, as Cena looks on in shock. Taker does his cut throat taunt before saying "It's you" and the lights go back out as the gong is heard once again. Once the lights come back on, Taker is no where to be seen and Cena looks still looks confused, and is shockingly thrown over the ropes by Daniel Bryan.
The match continued on as normal with the only other shocking moment being the return of Goldust at number 28 who quickly eliminated his younger brother, Stardust who entered the previous number. After Ryback entered at number 30, the final six men were Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, Alberto Del Rio, Kane, Sheamus, King Barrett and Ryback. Sheamus and Barrett kept their relationship going, eliminating Kane from the match before both men were Clotheslined over the ropes by Ryback. This left Ambrose, Bryan, Del Rio and Ryback as the final four. Ryback would end up on the apron after stopping himself from being eliminated by Del Rio, only to attempt a shoulder attack from the apron through the ropes. This didn't pan out as Del Rio delivered a disgusting super kick to the skull of Ryback who would collapse from the apron to the floor. Del Rio would turn around happy with himself only to realise he was left in the ring with two fan favourites in Bryan and Ambrose who were both eyeing him down. Del Rio tired to strike first but it didn't pan out as Ambrose dropped the US Champion with Dirty Deeds, and Del Rio bounced back up to his feet only to be dropped with the Running Dragon Knee from Daniel Bryan. Ambrose and Bryan would both grab Del Rio and throw him out of the ring to bring us to our final two.
Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose stared at each other in the middle of the ring before pointing at the wrestlemania sign. Ambrose was clearly a lot more tired than Bryan, having been in the match at this point for over an hour. The two men shook hands and the final two went at it for several more minutes before Ambrose dropped Bryan with Dirty Deeds. Ambrose went to the top rope, waiting for Bryan to get to his feet, clearly looking for his Standing Elbow Drop, only for Bryan to call his bluff and knock the ropes as he was getting to his feet. Ambrose now caught on the top rope was leaning over, and Bryan delivered a round house kick to the side of the head, that was enough to knock Ambrose to the apron, only just managing to hold on to the ropes. Ambrose struggled to his feet on the apron but this time was hit with the Running Dragon Knee, knocking him off the apron, crashing to the barricade. The match was over, and Daniel Bryan had finally got his Royal Rumble victory. in a match that also featured Batista screwing Brock Lesnar out of the rumble, and The Undertaker making it known that he wants John Cena as his final opponent at Wrestlemania 32!

I can't wait until Fast Lane well since we are on the road to WrestleMania 32 but the feuds that I think I am looking most forward to are Brock Lesnar vs Batista The Beast vs The Animal and Cena vs Taker but with Bryan winning the 2016 Royal Rumble Match Bryan goes to Mania but who will he face at WrestleMania 32 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship?
I can't see The Authority letting Daniel Bryan main event Mania or they would try to stop him from main eventing by forcing him to put up his WrestleMania 32 #1 Contendership in a match against whoever and the winner of that would main event Mania

I'm definitely interested. You've got me wondering what you'll do with Reigns, Ambrose, and Sheamus. Where's the tag division gonna go? Who are you calling up?
Can't wait to see how you book Rollin's return.

Monday Night Raw - January 25th 2016
1) The Lucha Dragons & Neville def. The New Day via pinfall. 2) Becky Lynch def. Paige via pinfall. 3) Kevin Owens def. Jack Swagger via pinfall. 4) Dolph Ziggler def. Rusev, & Tyler Breeze via pinfall. 5) Goldust def. Stardust via pinfall. 6) Cesaro def. King Barrett by pinfall. 7) Daniel Bryan & Dean Ambrose def. Roman Reigns & Chris Jericho via disqualification.
Show Highlights:
- The show opened with John Cena making his way down to the ring and cutting a promo on the events that took place last night. Cena says that he made his plans perfectly clear when he came back that he was going to enter the Royal Rumble match and win for a third time, to go on to Wrestlemania and challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but someone has decided other plans for him, and that man was The Undertaker. Cena says he respects no one more than The Undertaker in this business for giving 25 years of his life to it, and he deserves to have a grand retirement at Wresetlemania 32. Cena carries on and tells the Undertaker that he is honoured that Taker wants to face him in his retirement match, but he went about business the wrong way, and for that, Cena will have no remorse in giving The Undertaker his final loss, to send him home. Suddenly, the lights in the arena go out as a video begins to play on the titantron. "April 6th 2016" is shown in text before fading away and turning in to "You will face the reality of your fears" "You will Rest....In....Peace" The lights come back on, and Cena says that the mind games are old news, and the only thing that's going to happen on April 6th at Wrestlemania 32 will be The Undertaker looking up at John Cena from the canvas, realizing that his career is over.
- Following the opening six man tag match, The New Day took their loss badly, and attacked their opponents, before mocking the Dudley Boyz and putting Sin Cara through a table. New Day said they were not finished with The Dudley Boyz just yet.
- Triple H announces backstage that the winner of a triple threat match tonight against Tyler Breeze, Rusev and Dolph Ziggler would go on to Fast Lane to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
- Jack Swagger vs Kevin Owens was a praised match for the time it was given with both men looking really good, many said it could have easily been a Pay Per View match and the transition from Owens being locked in the ankle lock to countering Swagger in to the ropes and quickly hitting the pop up powerbomb for the victory was a thing of beauty.
- Following his victory against Rusev and Tyler Breeze, Triple H came on to the stage to congratulate Dolph Ziggler. Triple H said Dolph has been around for 10 years now and has been given chance after chance after chance after chance to smash his way through the glass ceiling but has yet to do so. Triple H continues and says he needs guys in his company that can lead the future and not guys that will finally get their break at the end of their run, so if Ziggler can't get the job done at Fastlane against Roman Reigns, he'll be fired.
- Goldust who returned at the Royal Rumble last night, rolled his brother up for a victory on Raw, before quickly escaping an attack from The Ascension. Goldust grinned on the apron but it seemed clear the brothers weren't finished with each other yet.
- Triple H is in his office along with his wife, Stephanie McMahon and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns. The door knocks and Chris Jericho enters the room. Triple H welcomes Jericho back to the WWE, saying he had a great showing last night at the Royal Rumble and Jericho replies, saying with the offer Triple H gave him, it was pretty hard to refuse and not come back. Triple H smiles before the two men shake hands, with Triple H saying "Welcome to The Authority, Chris."
- A debut video played hyping the arrival of Baron Corbin to Monday Night Raw, who made his first appearance at last night's Royal Rumble.
- Cesaro was mocked by King Barrett and "Mr Money in the Bank" Sheamus about failing to defeat Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship last night at the Royal Rumble, but Cesaro quickly got the last laugh as he surprised King Barrett with a roll up during their match to pick up the victory.
- In the main event contest, The Authority ended up getting themselves disqualified after Jericho slammed a chair in to Bryan's recently repaired shoulder. Ambrose took a code breaker from Jericho before Bryan struggling to his feet, holding his arm in pain, took a spear from Roman Reigns. Reigns got on the microphone and told Bryan that he should have never came back, and now he's going to get his ass beat every week to the point he won't make it to Wrestlemania to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
- The main event segment saw Batista make his way down to the ring to explain himself for last night's attack on Brock Lesnar, screwing the beast out of his chance to win the Royal Rumble match. Batista got on the mic and said no one saw it coming, not even Triple H. Batista said he's heard the reports that Triple H signed Batista back and that he's in The Authority but that's not true, because the last time Batista came back to WWE, he was promised the world, and received none of it. Batista said that he told himself when he came back it would be under his own conditions and for his own reasons, and he made that perfectly clear last night at the Royal Rumble. Batista continues by saying there will only ever be one "Animal" in the WWE, and he will never play second fiddle to "The Beast"
- Suddenly, Batista is interrupted by Paul Heyman who gets a big pop from the crowd. Heyman tells Batista that Hollywood has clearly went to "The Animals" head, because he's trying to be a James Bond villain in real life, but this isn't the movies and all he's done is anger a man that you really should anger. While talking, Paul is making his way down to the ring and once inside, he continues his promo, telling Batista that what he done last night at the Royal Rumble borderlines painting a target on your own ass, and teasing a bull to gore you, and that's exactly what is going to happen. At this point, Batista grabs Paul and asks him who does he think he's talking too, and Paul finds himself suddenly put in position for the Batista Bomb. At this point, the crowd pop loud as the theme music of Brock Lesnar plays across the PA System. Brock runs down to the ring and tackles Batista to the ground, and the two men throw punches while rolling around in the ring. Security quickly try to break things up, and unlike the Lesnar/Taker brawl months prior. Brock began throwing the security around the ring. Brock turns to face Batista again only to be dropped with a Spear. Batista taunts and attempts to put Lesnar in position for the Batista Bomb but Lesnar lifts Batista up in to the F5 position instead. Batista slides off Lesnar's shoulders and retreats under the bottom rope, as more security tackle Lesnar to the ground. Batista laughs on the entrance ramp, and Lesnar is heart screaming "I'm still going to kill you, you son of a bitch" as Monday Night Raw comes to an end.

Swagger getting TV time? Oh my.
I guess you're starting us off by letting us know how you're gonna use Ziggler this diary. Some diaries have the usual Wyatt, Barrett, Cesaro, Ziggler pushes, but maybe yours can be different. I like the Batista vs Lesnar and Cena vs Taker angles. Only storylines left are the diva's division and the US title.
Not much to say yet cause first show, but it seems great. Formatting looks solid as usual in your diaries.

I really like the layout here, though I would personally put the results after the highlights. I loved the Cena/Undertaker promo. Cena being unfazed by the mind games just makes sense. Surprised to see New Day/Dudleys still going. Not a big fan of the Ziggler push but I can't see him winning the belt anyway. It should be a solid PPV defense for Roman Reigns. I wonder if we get Stardust/Goldust at Mania. JERICHO IS IN THE AUTHORITY? Baron Corbin <3. Good main event stuff. Batista/Brock has potential to be incredible. Good first show and as usual with your stuff, I'm certainly intrigued by the possibilities.
