I cannot blame the target employees. They get paid very little to care.
I hate when I see it in NY also. I heard from a Mattel rep that it's a group of people who go around doing this. I have never caught them, but suspect they are on this site also. They know days the Targets get their new stock and so on.
What we have to do is locate those in NY who sell items loose in larger quantities on EBay...maybe that is what the group does?

Idk how many times it has to be said.
If anything, they'll get reimbursed.
Not defedning the actions, but the stores just dont care.
You're not being a hero for hassling the 17 year old customer service girl about a $20 figure being swapped.
The lp is not going to go through tapes to see if they guy bought one figure and brought back a different.

I get >90% of my figures from Ringside except for the store exclusives I want, which I sometimes get off eBay, so to me it's not much of an issue. But I say this all the time: rules (and laws) are only as good as they are enforced. Have you ever taken a trip ... Down to Cobb County Georgia ?? The dirtbag in Watertown, NY hasn't.

I personally never saw a figure swap, but being a Lego collector, I've once bought a set where someone took out the figures, possibly to resale on eBay. Luckily Lego's customer service is impeccable and replaced them free of charge.
That said, I now buy a majority of my figures on Ringside, Amazon, or eBay.

Blister packaging. That is all. Boxcutters. A store surely won't accept the return of something that they can clearly see has been opened? Blister packaging can't be re-sealed.

As they have a return policies that allow it within a certain time frame. Figures might not be full price when returned to the shelf though, if they even do.

I am not even on that much to give a damn, but it does get me angry as I work to afford mines honestly and so should the thieves at Target. By now someone should have spotted something after all these years....so what is your conclusion?

Blister packaging. That is all. Boxcutters. In your experience... Do you slice the packaging in the stores? Or do it at home then return the figures?

Luckily Lego's customer service is impeccable and replaced them free of charge. That said, I now buy a majority of my figures on Ringside, Amazon, or eBay. That happened to me once. I also am a HUGE fan of lego. I have hundreds of sets. Anyways, a few years ago, I bought a Lego Star Wars set (The Mandolorean speeder with Darth Maul) from TRU. When I got home, and opened it, there were no minifigures in the box. I went back to TRU to return it, and they wouldn't let me return it because they thought I was the one who took the figures out. I argued with the employee over it and ended up getting kicked out of the store. I was really angry. I called Lego after that and they also sent me the figures for free. Glad Lego has such good customer service, can't say the same for TRU.
