Kids will always be fans of wrestling. Its like Power Rangers, kids will always like Power Rangers. When you get older, you grow out of it because its aimed at kids. The problem with WWE is that they're doing the same, aiming at specifically children. Kids arent growing up and staying fans of wrestling. They all think its 'gay' as they age. I dont see why WWE doesnt want to keep fans as opposed to cycling them in and out, kids will always like wrestling regardless. The attitude era had kids coming in droves desperately trying to watch it because it was cool. What kid even stays up past 9-10pm to watch a TV show on a Monday night anyways!? BINGO!!!!

They push who they want.
Which is not who the fans want.
That's the problem.

I would agree that this is the worst it's ever been since I've been watching. That's mainly in relation to it's potential. People often say the New Generation era was horrible, but there wasn't much potential there. The only guys at that time that did have something good to offer, became major stars and anchored a great time. I think the early-post attitude era was bad, but that is mainly due to just having like an overall "blah" kinda tone.
What's going on now is just sad. These writers seem to put feuds together looking to get 1 guy over. A feud is supposed to benefit everyone involved. For example, right now, I think they are making Sheamus look like a total joke. Sure he caught Roman by surprise and cashed in MITB, but it took him 5:15 and 2 FINISHERS to beat a guy that had already fought twice that night and was gassed. Since then, Roman has basically made Sheamus his biatch. Last night, Sheamus pointed out that he knew exactly what Roman was gonna try to do to him, and Roman still did it.
I'm one of what seems like few people that thinks Roman is decent on the mic, but he needs to stop trying to be the Rock. Last night sounded like a straight up Rock promo. Stop trying to make jokes and go back to being a badass. That's what got you over and that's what you're dressed like.
Rusev is in some kind of weird feud with Ryback, where Ryback is trying to be a luchadore. I really don't see what the end game is on that feud.
Jack Swagger hasn't been seen in months. All of a sudden Colter reappears with Del Rio and I'm supposed to believe he's a threat to a guy who just beat Cena clean?
The Usos are going for the tag belts but are more involved with Roman Reigns, leaving New Day to dance around with Team BAD until the Lucha Dragons have a match.
It's 2015 and Tommy Dreamer is working 2 matches on RAW. I love the guy but when was he ever a big enough star to get that kind of time on RAW? Also, Dreamer and Rhyno got better reactions than anyone in the main event scene.
I love Paige but she turns more times than Big Show. I guess she's a face now because Charlotte all of a sudden needs to cheat to win, when she was doing just fine without cheating before. The level of competition hasn't changed, it was just decided that we need to be reminded she's Flair's daughter. If they wanted, they could just have Paige stand in the ring for a little while and it would be a lot more enjoyable.
Dolph Ziggler is kinda holding back his feud with Tyler Breeze because he gives off the impression that he just doesn't wanna be there. I get that he probably feels like WWE hasn't given him anything, but pouting about it won't help.
I don't know where to start on Ambrose vs Owens because I don't even know what's going on. That feud has gotten like zero attention.
What is making me so upset about WWE is that from top to bottom they probably have the most talented roster they have ever had. There is so much potential that is being held back by awful writing that is just illogical and producers that can't seem to put a show together with any kind of sense. Last night we had Team BAD walk out to the ring. Then, there was a commercial break, then a whole backstage segment, then Team BAD's music was still playing!!! Then, later on, they come back from commercial and we're in the middle of a random match with no setup. It's starting to feel like WWE is just going through the motions putting together it's shows, and it's starting to feel like I'm just going through the motions watching them.

They want Roman. So they have Roman beat Ambrose. I am a loyal WWE fan but it's getting damn near impossible to defend them anymore.

They can't always be looking for the next John Cena.

I cant even follow anything that is going on anymore. Everything is just thrown together with no real backstory. Its like, Why is Charlotte randomly turning heel while in the middle of a feud with Paige, Who is also a heel who made fun of Charlottes dead brother? Why is Ambrose randomly fighting for the IC title when he was just in the WWE title picture a few weeks ago? Why is Del Rio randomly pissed off at Colter while he is in a feud with Swagger, Over Colter betraying Swagger and starting "MexAmerica"?
I can go on and on, The Divas, The random thrown together tag team matches, These little random afterthought feuds like Ziggler/Breeze.

RAW had a GREAT opening, one of the best segments and matches I've seen on RAW in a while. Problem is nothing else could compare to it, not the god awful divas segment not knowing whose face or heel (again), Ryback vs Rusev just wasn't clicking, some random celebrity douchebag who was there because promo? New Day gives away some merchandise to Team BAD for some reason. After that opener nothing could compete with it. Whoever wrote that part of the show well done. Whoever wrote the rest, off.

I haven't watched Raw since before Survivor Series. I've been watching the PPVs and I've watched a few of the segments that do interest me on YouTube. Other than that, I've been watching less and less. I watch NXT every week though. It shouldn't be this way.

People like to point to the fact that we get some good matches on a weekly basis, but that's not all that's needed. Sure Owens and Ziggler had a good little match on Raw, but it had no reasoning. It was just there and felt like a time filler. Nothing that gets done has any meaning or reasoning. Nothing going on makes sense or gives me any reason to care. Don't get me wrong, I really like Sasha Banks, Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose and a select few others...but why should I care about anything they do when creative doesn't either?

People leaving before the main event last night: Reigns' 'Tater tot' line was probably the last straw for them, lol.

I'm not going to type up a long rant. But I have been watching wrestling for about 35 years. I've been talking to people online about wrestling for about 20 years. I'm not joking when I say that the WWE is the least entertaining right now than it has been during that entire time. Not only that, this is the first time I have ever seen just about everyone online in agreement about how crappy it is. It's mind blowing how bad the state of WWE is right now. It's even more frustrating because there is a ton of talent signed. They just don't know what the to do with it.

Yeah, it's been bad for a while now, but I know to look elsewhere rather than hold on in vain hopes it'll get better.
This 'Sheamus 5:15' is as lazy as they come....

I really wish they'd just show up one day, open the show by saying "we know this is terrible. All titles are vacant and we're hitting the reset button". We go into it not having a damn clue who is/isn't on the main roster. All stories are fresh. No ppv for three months to build some stuff and go from there. Yeah. It sounds very WCW. But say what you will. When they did that it made for an exciting episode of Nitro. It's just how they executed AFTER that first episode that threw it back in the crapper.

It's even more frustrating because there is a ton of talent signed. They just don't know what the to do with it. I'm inclined to agree with this. I know it sounds hyperbolic to say "it's the worst it's ever been", but I'm starting to believe it to be true, at least relative to the potential the show has to be great. Injuries notwithstanding, there is no excuse for the product being as bad as it is. Strip away all the 50/50 mid-card mumbo jumbo, and you've got a roster that should be breeding an intriguing, exciting, and fruitful product. We know it has the potential to be that way, because the wrestling has been damn solid all year long. It's funny, for priding itself in being a sports entertainment company, not a wrestling company, wrestling is just about the only thing they've gotten right this year. Unfortunately, storytelling is almost as essential as the in-ring action itself, and the storytelling is at absolute rock bottom.
