It just sucks for us regular elite guys, like when Rollins changed from Shield attire, it was June 2014, & RSC got him in E37 in August 2015, that's 14 months for an updated Rollins who is "the future of wwe". Like we just got a DZ from SUrvivor Series 14, by the time we get a tights Ziggler it will be 2017, I know nobody wants more of the same Gus we have already, but some guys make drastic attire changes & it takes forever for elite updates. I have no hate at all for FB, I own everyone, and I get why it doesn't make sense for their own line, but just wished we could get updated current guys & lower card guys in the regular elite line, like PTP. It takes about a year for a figure to come out. Cash in Rollins, is probably the quickest to market figure ive seen.

Unfortunately when Mattel decides to do a current superstar their career flops by the time its up for preorders. For flashbacks I would like to see more Ruthless Aggression and invasion era.

For example: I would rather have a Flashback Shawn Michaels than I would about 90% of the current roster. I would rather have a Flashback Sting than about 95% of the current roster. I would rather have a Flashback Undertaker, Macho Man, Kane and Goldust than 100% of the current roster. It wouldn't bother me if they made a separate elite line for current guys called: WWE Who The Is This Elite Series Lol jk but I do like flashbacks more

I do understand completely where you are coming from, man, but you came onto a forum of mostly hardcore/older fans lol. The mindset around is typically going to be geared towards Legends.
However, I must admit that some guys have taken way too long to get Elites. What about the Prime Time Players for example? They've been around for a long time, and haven't gotten any Elites. Another unfortunate circumstance is that some guys are no longer relevant by the time their figure comes out, see Adam Rose.
Part of the reason Jakks could crank out figures so quickly is because they had much less parts to use. Jakks had what, 3-4 bodies? All they had to do was create a new head. Mattel takes different parts and makes it into what they feel is correct for that person, that of course, takes more time. Then some guys need new tooling, and that takes a good while/costs money and there's no chance they'll even be relevant when their figure comes out. Like, I think Bill said it, they released the Bunny just because of all the time and money spent on it..and the character was Kayfaybe killed off months ago.

I prefer flashbacks. Don't know who some of the new guys are. Very excited about getting a Samoa Joe though. SPOILER: He's gonna beat my entire roster.

There are times when I wish we could get more Flashbacks (Syxx is my #1 want right now). Then there are times where I'm wondering when or if we're gonna get an updated Elite of someone on the current roster (Ryder, Slater for example). But honestly I think Mattel has found a nice balance of both Flashbacks and current figures, I couldn't be happier as a collector.

If the market dictated more current elite figures, that's what you'd get. It isn't just this forum; it's most of the buyers. Truth be told there aren't enough current guys in various looks to carry the elite line. They need superstar legends to add some pizazz or they could cut it from 6 figs to 4 per series.

If they stopped making current wrestlers I wouldn't complain at all. All flashbacks for me.

I like the current mix. I've always thought that making the same current guys over and over and over again is brutal. I'm tired of seeing Daniel Brian and Bray Wyatt shelf warming. I'd like to see a 50/50 split between current and non-current guys in every series - Elite, Basics, and Battle Packs!

I love flashbacks and that is all i collect but it is getting to be a tad to much for me. I feel like there are too many side sets and everything else coming out and too fast. I just got Elite 39 last week and now 40. I can't get a break either way.

The main roster guys don't change their looks fast enough to keep up with Matty's schedule (Their #1 guy right now is still wearing essentially the same ring gear as when he debuted, but now with a new logo). Same with main roster call-ups. And you can't fill a series with just NXT guys. So Flashbacks seem necessary at this point.
