no figures were better for play than the BCAs.. a good memory, back in summer of 99 i did my "wrestlemania" card with my figures and had KANE vs UNDERTAKER in an inferno match.. i places 3 candles on each side of the ring ( attitude ring).. and i randomly sprayed the candles with LYSOL!!! warning kids do not do this at home.. it worked out safely somehow, looked awesome.. and i let bret hart defeat HBK in a submission match to win the title.. i last played with my figures in summer of 2000.. i was playing out the fun entrance of the NEW AGE OUTLAWS using a ps or xbox video game for video and music and my gf at the time walked in my room to surprise me.. i was 16, but felt very weird... that was naturally the final time i ever wanted to play with figures.. grew up with hasbros, i remember the first series of BCA with taker, bret, hbk, diesel, razor, i started to LOVE those things, once the OWEN HART figure came out in series 2, so i could finally have BRET VS OWEN!! i cant imagine anyone playing with jakks legends or todays Mattel's elites, too many joints, knee pads elbow pads, i just dont see them being good and as fun to play with as BCA were.. maybe i'm just a different generation.. well the MATTEL ELITES do look amazing on my shelf I enjoyed the inferno match story, haha. You MANIAC One time, when I was 13 (TTL era), I accidentally smashed a glass on my bedroom floor, and cut my knee while clearing the glass up. I then spent the next month or so reopening the wound to use the blood for my figures Not my finest hour, haha!

From past experience when I used to play with my Jakks figures around 10-12 years ago I would make up my own storylines, matches etc, would do full on matches, but I wouldn't care in geting the moves spot on, just the basic movements, for figure feds, detail is a lot more important.
Would still play with mine if I could but the internet and tv have ruined my imagination.

I don't do it on a regular basis, but I do still keep up my yearly "events". My year starts around Christmas, because that's when I normally get a new haul of figures.
Christmas - 20 man elimination match. Winner gets The Trophy, which gives you a shot at any title, any time. (did this in 2003! befor MITB!) February - Royal Rumble! It's like this - Throw on a Royal Rumble and use the buzzer from the actual match! Time consuming, but awesome. Summer - Tag Wars! A series of Survivor...Series matches, with the Survivors duking it out in another Royal Rumble (use the 95 with short intervals)
Other than that, there's no real rhyme or reason to when I play with them.
As far as "how" I do, it's simple. I just work! When I was 12 I used to watch this AJPW tape and straight up copy those matches, move for move. So stuff like Misawa/Kawada 6-4-94 is in muscle memory. The Misawa&Kobashi vs Kawada/Taue 60 minute match was another one I did. HBK/Santana from WM8 and Owen/Kid are also matches I used to copy move for move. If you've never done anything like that, try it! Pick a random match off of Youtube and emulate it. The last time I did that I emulated a Holly/Richards match from Velocity. It was the one that when it was over Vince called a "team meeting" and told all of the boys, "That's how it works!". Haha, I love the Holly/Richards series!
If you're wondering who won the 20 "Big Match" Christmas day, it was Barry Windham! Here's all of my past winners.
2003 - RVD 2004 - Bret Hart 2005 - Vader 2006 - Samoa Joe 2007 - Vader 2008 - Bulldog 2009 - Undertaker 2010 - Royce Gracie 2011 - Randy Savage 2012 - Bret Hart 2013 - Bret Hart 2014 - Daniel Bryan 2015 - Barry Windham

Then, I got Internet and this game called Fire Pro Wrestling 6-Man Scramble and from there forward the wrestling figures didn't come out much. I remember just enjoying having matches by throwing punches, powerslams, dives off the top, etc. Now I get two figures and it has to be "realistic". So, instead of the imagination running wild, it gets tedious very fast.

Sometimes when I'm stoned I mess around with them. the last one was a while ago, but it was Harper vs Ambrose for the IC, which Harper won. otherwise I just kind of do moves. Orton RKOs like 5 people, then Rollins comes in and curbstomps him.

I pose mine and take pictures. Other than that they sit on the shelves until I get an idea. Sometimes my son sits with me and he starts playing with them.

I typically do two things: I play out a storyline including promos and matches starting from beginning to end. Or I have one-off matches, often for a championship. I'll play the match just like it might go on TV from entrance to exit. Sometimes I'll play out an entire PPV.
I never copy what I saw on TV, everything is always original. Basically the reason I play with my figures is because I want to be able to create a story that I can only do with toys. It's like an expression of artistic freedom. However, I do typically try to stick to eras. Everything has rules, so WCW guys wrestle WCW guys, Attitude Era guys together, 80's guys together, New Generation together, and modern together. I do have a few rule exceptions. For example, I still use several wrestlers no longer with the company in my modern roster, but they're all from the PG era. 2010 is probably my cutoff for my current roster, but I always try to keep each wrestler as updated as possible.

I run my own "fed". Have full cards each show (8-10 matches). Results from one show go into the next one, small storylines. Matches are move for move til done usually lasting 5-10 mins. Alot of the times they are deathmatches.
I also do a cage of death show every year in December and a couple deathmatch tournaments throughout the year.
I just have fun with it.

I've done full blown matches, but haven't done anything in in a while.

I work from home and have two sons. We take turns picking fueds, picking winners, title matches etc. I can still play for hours to take my mind off of work which deals with insurance, my continuing education which currently consists of calculus II, and spending time with my boys. I take two elites at a time and play out back stage matches on my make shift alley that I made and bring my sons up to speed when they get home. They take the story and fill me in on what happens when I get off and depending on whose turn it is we play out the match while the other two fend off the interference. It has given is something to bond over and relit a love for imaginating fun play time scenarios I loved as a kid. With out my kids I would still be a MOC collector of various lines of figures but rarely take my older wrestlers off the shelf most likely.

My son plays with his elites. He try's to get me to play but I don't last long. I used to play for countless hours when I was a kid. Never had wrestling toys though. (GIJoe mainly and matchbox cars) Transformers for me...

Mine's basically an anachronistic federation, so legends alive or dead compete, sometimes against current stars. One faction I have called the British Invasion has British Bulldog and Bad News Barrett, but I do like to mix and match eras (WCW vs. 80s WWF, New Generation vs. Attitude)

I still simulate/play matches with my figures. To me its almost like a cross between a board game and a video game where you have free range to do what you please. As far as playability goes, my only gripe is balancing them when I want a certain situation to play out and the whole thing just botches due to loose ankles or mainly gravity. When it comes to performing moves like figure fours, I know that its not going to be as accurate as the real thing but I would apply it according to the limitations of the figures and just go with it, and it does look botched for the most part but its a thrill for me and nobody else. The only move I cannot pull off is Christians unprettier in which I substitute with another move. Oh and yes full matches w/shows and interviews. Also Im thinking of implementing a new fatigue system for my roster which will force me to refrain from over working wrestlers and sidelining injured ones like in GM mode XD.

for one, there's basically no continuity with me.
Right now, I've got my WrestleMania skirt on my ring and I'm going to have three matches
Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels
Kane va Triple H in a No Holds Barred match
Booker T(C) vs Brock Lesnar vs DDP vs Mach Man for the World Heavyweight Championship
The fatal 4 way will be a spot fest with lots of reversals and finishers
The Kane vs Triple H match will feature high impact moves and unrealistic brutality
The Undertaker vs HBK match will be what I spend the most time on and actually may try to setup something with pics later because I have already laid the match out in my head lol
