Sometimes I look at my elites and get very tempted to take them all off the display and have matches like when I was a kid. I know that some of you do this, even as adults. I've tried it a few times with new figures that I opened but the childhood magic just wasn't there. I'm curious, to those of you who still play, how do you work your matches? Do you have full blown events and history behind your fed? Do you go move for move through the match or just re-enact the highlights? It seems like trying to get your figures to do a figure four or something would be more tedious than fun.
Oh, and I know some people do pic feds, but I'm not really asking about that. This is just to those who like to play matches.

One in the left hand, one in the right hand and then smash them together until one breaks!

My son plays with his elites. He try's to get me to play but I don't last long.
I used to play for countless hours when I was a kid. Never had wrestling toys though. (GIJoe mainly and matchbox cars)

I guess it'd mostly be "highlights", as far as matches go. Definitely have history and storylines to go along with my fed, though.

Finally open 4 of my figures to have a match. Lasted 2 minutes. Might give it another go later.

I've been experimenting with pic feds (nothing I feel remotely confident enough to post in the board). If I do have like a highlight style match just for fun I usually try to do it like an actual match (working punches and protecting the other worker etc.) so as to not mess the paint up on my figs.

I dont play with toys mannn, with a setup like this, yes ypu get a lil tipsy and play sometimes lol But a figure four i sugest you just move the legs in the figure fpur position not actually have flair wrap around and circle the leg as you apply the move, makes the joints to loose, But i go bell to bell ,, my lile brother also said i have no choice and were anomating it soon so theres that too witch makes it not playing as well

I take two figures, hype up the match, and then have them brawl it out for 30 minute Extreme Hardcore Mega Ultraviolent Iron Man Deathmatches and stuff.
Other times I write up stories and have highlights of the matches.

no figures were better for play than the BCAs.. a good memory, back in summer of 99 i did my "wrestlemania" card with my figures and had KANE vs UNDERTAKER in an inferno match.. i places 3 candles on each side of the ring ( attitude ring).. and i randomly sprayed the candles with LYSOL!!! warning kids do not do this at home.. it worked out safely somehow, looked awesome.. and i let bret hart defeat HBK in a submission match to win the title.. i last played with my figures in summer of 2000.. i was playing out the fun entrance of the NEW AGE OUTLAWS using a ps or xbox video game for video and music and my gf at the time walked in my room to surprise me.. i was 16, but felt very weird... that was naturally the final time i ever wanted to play with figures.. grew up with hasbros, i remember the first series of BCA with taker, bret, hbk, diesel, razor, i started to LOVE those things, once the OWEN HART figure came out in series 2, so i could finally have BRET VS OWEN!!
i cant imagine anyone playing with jakks legends or todays Mattel's elites, too many joints, knee pads elbow pads, i just dont see them being good and as fun to play with as BCA were.. maybe i'm just a different generation.. well the MATTEL ELITES do look amazing on my shelf

I can't sit there and play with them, but my "playtime" I guess would be posing and photographing them

I go all out and write storylines and do my own figure fed. Sit on the floor and do whole matches too, with psychology and spots and everything. I even let mine take real bumps (not tossing them around but having them fall under their own weight) because I am an animal who doesn't care much about the collector's value of his toys.
Considering trying a pic fed.

I'm 29 going on to 30 and the magic never left me.. I just kind of stopped collecting until recently. I just can't have random whatever matches... I have to have my own universe where I make up my own history and have my own fed. I did this as a child, but I have to say, it's alot more fun as an adult since I have photoshop, more money to dedicate to building sets, and the ability to buy the roster I want without waiting on my mother lol. Plus, I can indulge in "adult extracurricular activities" while I play, too lmao... *cough* I've been writing out my first season of World Pro-Wrestling for well over a year now. I am in the process of planning everything out. I'm talking writing out in depth character bios to fit in with my reworked history of wwe and pro wrestling in general... getting my pay per views booked solid so I know them inside and out beforehand... having character arcs that make sense and no titles stagnating. It's alot to juggle but it's fun as hell just doing this. I treat it like a normal TV show when it comes down to it, that's why I wanted to divide things into seasons instead of going all year like WWE does. I wanted a built in "off season" so I can take a break and just enjoy life lol. I believe I'll start buying new figures in bulk in this time in case Mattel releases any new talent I want in my fed. For example, I'm pretty much done with Season One's arcs, so Kevin Owens just doesn't fit in the plans. I already started writing him into Season Two in my head. I consider me buying a figure like "signing" that wrestler to a deal. I'm currently only waiting on a Samoa Joe figure to be made and all the major players I have in mind for my first season will be available on the market. Anyway.. After I'm done with that, I'm photoshopping logos for ring skirts and canvases so I can do a bulk order and be finished. Then I'm doing a bulk order from Ralphs for all the entrance gear I need with special attention paid to unique wrestlemania attire I picked out already lol. It's going to be bloody expensive, but again, that's why I want this all pre-planned so I'm not wasting money and just doing crap on impulse. When that's complete, I'm FINALLY following my scripts for weekly tv and ppv for play. I do this so I have a clear idea of why I'm sitting down playing with action figures as an adult lmao. When I was a kid, I just made things up as I went and sometimes storylines and matches went off the rails. I write everything down in Evernote now and it's a life saver. Any idea I get I can just jot down anywhere on any device instead of trying to keep track of everything in my brain. Seeing it all laid out helps immensely, trust me. When I was at work on lunch breaks, I'd just pull out my phone and brainstorm. I don't have a timeline for how long it'll take me to play out the season. Life happens. If I play out one episode of Nitro (my weekly show) and don't get back to it in 5 months, I'll still be on episode two next. I won't jump around. The notes and scripts are designed to keep me on task. Long PPVs I might take me a whole week to play through, who knows? I just don't wish to rush through anything. As far as matches go, I write out the winners and big spots, but I've played with enough figs I can fill in the in between. Using my hands, I might botch a spot here and there -- which is hilarious, but I just pretend it didn't happen and do it over lol. If I need a replay, I just redo the spot in slow mo. I probably look like a lunatic, but I'm having the time of my life haha. I really do prefer Elites when playing, but I'm looking into putting some foam or something under my ring canvas so the play isn't so loud. My girlfriend knows I play with figures, but I never want her to walk in on it lol. I never did like audiences when I played with figs, even when I was younger. I'd always go off in a closet or wait until nobody was home. I like to get immersed in it all like I'm shooting a film. I'm looking into set pieces, lights, a tablet for my video screen, and bluetooth speakers for entrance music. I'm going to have to edit some titantron videos myself as well. I practice breaking down my ASR and putting it back up when I'm bored to give me a feel as I'm on the ring crew lol. I even iron my canvases and skirts so I can visualize how I want things arranged. Just doing this showed me how many drawers I need for this project, as I can't have things hanging around, nor do I want them collecting dust. When I put my ring together, I want it to have a purpose. I want to get hyped I'm about to run an event. It's even better knowing how much work I'm putting into the storylines. I'm EXCITED to play out these stories, man. I do plan on making a display case with printed mini posters behind my figs chronicling the history of my fed. I will buy figures of a wrestler in alt. attire for one time use just to put it on display for that specific event. For instance, when I write my Shield break up, those figures are getting retired with a quick history graphic of what happened with it. Another example is how I'm writing off Brock Lesnar by having his arm broken by Del Rio's arm bar finisher. I'm literally going to buy a spare figure just to break it's arm lol. It'll be on display haha. If you've ever been to Axxess, it'll be like that but in figure form. I was looking a remote controlled 1:16 Tank I want The Shield to ride in on for a WM entrance and it's like $200. Screw it, I'll buy it lol. It'll look nice on display. I just want other folks to see my creative work like a museum.. it'll be a shame to just forget all this happened after spending so much time making it up in my head. I do think eventually I'll stop collecting whenever mattel loses the license, so this is kind of like my last hurrah. Getting everything out of my system since I can finally do everything I wanted as a child No idea when I'll have kids of my own, but when I do, I'll probably do something similar for them.

Make fantasy matches and have some "crazy" spots absolutely. when I play with my elite figures, I realy get in stronger to the story. I do some scenes at the backstage and then the match. most time I love to make a realy crazy spots, but I do it carefully so as not to break the figures.

Before my very recent troubles I had logged data for 16-20 guys who worked for a year 12 ppv and 52 weekly shows then the lowest point system would be let go and 10 new guys would debut with 10 stay overs and had BASIC elite tna and RA brands they won matches using a 20 sided dice except tna would have a odd even system to determine the point winning system for bound for glory
