Why people want a person who is clearly not a wrestler like Eva Marie as champion is beyond me.

Eva would be entertaining. I want to see the reaction.
If I could pick anyone I'd pick Emma. I think Emma is, by far, the best total package female in NXT.

I can see Eva beating her for it. I'd want Emma to win it. Takeover Dallas should have a Fatal 4 Way Bayley, Nia, Asuka, and Emma. I would have Emma win the gold and set her up for a face turn. Feud with Dana Brooks and others.

I know that people still have this "OMG EVA GETS BOOED SO SHE'S A GREAT HEEL" delusion, but she should never be anywhere near any sort of title.

Eva Marie, for sure. Apart from Cena/Reigns, she's the most hated wrestler in the business by the worst kind of wrestling fans, and those are the kind that populate Full Sail tapings. Their characters are perfectly opposed as well, the hot wannabe-famous chick versus the ugly, plain Jane wrestler girl. The reaction to Eva winning the title would be awesome to see, any time she retains the title through chicanery would get nuclear heat, and then when she loses the belt (ideally to Asuka, Warrior/Honky at SummerSlam 88 style) the pop would blow the roof off the place.
Dana Brooke would be decent too, but she's been coming across too sympathetic on the reality show which might hurt her Full Sail heel credentials.
Either way, they might as well move Bayley up to the main roster the night after WrestleMania, if not sooner. They desperately need some babyface divas. Natalya, Paige, Brie and Charlotte are too unlikable to be decent babyfaces. Becky's a good one, but they don't really have anybody else. I guess they'll be turning Sasha soon though.

Then again it could be a new signing who takes the title.
Eva has had a her shot, and lost. She should go back to the bottom of the pile. She should go to TNA....

Why Eva? I thought the NXT crowds were a special case and didn't matter? How come her heat suddenly matters while all of the other chants, cheers, and boos apparently don't? That goes both ways.
In the end I personally don't care who it is since I want to see how Bayley is received on the main roster.

I would love to see Bayley protected when she drops the title on route to the main roster.
At Takeover: Dallas schedule a triple threat or fatal four way where either Dana Brooke or Emma eats the pinfall for other woman setting up a feud between the two as Bayley moves onto the Main Roster following Mania.

Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and Dana Brooke IMO aren't ready in ring wise even though they are established.
And even though Peyton Royce and Billie Kay are ready in ring wise they aren't in the established department..
Asuka I feel is the total package
Nia Jax for some reason I can see being a great champ she has the look and IMO is good in the ring for the type of performer she is
Eva Marie I'd like to see as champion but that's only because I love her!
Emma would be great too!

I understand the point, but it's different than "i wanna see her as champion". It's like "i'd love to see Bob Barker defeat Brock Lesnar just to see the reactions online", it's pretty pointless. |
