2016 Divas Figure

I said this in the other thread about it, but it's no different than complaining about how Ryback needs a bigger torso or if Ziggler's torso/arms are too big. It's literally the same thing, except just because we're talking about a female. I don't think anyone is trying to get exact cup size scale ratios here, but if Nikki has huge cans in real life on a PG show that even the commentators joke about when telling the difference between her and her sister, then I'd expect the same on an action figure. Mattel HAS gotten better with this, true, but Diva molds are still too interchangeable in the torsos IMO. My Kaitlyn figure needs bigger freakin' EVERYTHING, not just boobs. They gave Tamina too big of boobs, so it's the reverse.

I'm not even gonna say anything about Naomi's ass, but if we can talk about inaccurate thighs on Elite Rusev (he needs Big E's...), then I don't see an issue if somebody did mention it. I'm aware it's a kids line, and some things just aren't going to make the cut (even non-body things like "Hell In The Cell" get changed to "The Cell" for understandable reasons), but discussing it shouldn't make anyone feel uncomfortable. I don't frequent other figure boards, but I'm sure people have a problem with every Power Girl figure that gets released LOL. It just comes with the territory. Hardcore fans want ACCURATE figures. If Sable got a figure, I'd expect nothing short of huge knockers because her character's popularity was based off around that. She even wore hand prints on 'em on live TV. I don't think that'd ever be a DM figure (lol), but if they gave Sable too small of boobs, it'd be easily noticeable. Just like how we complain over Cesaro having too small of a torso. The guy is ripped, so talking about his pecs are fine, but not boobs?

Does it hurt the Diva figs? Yeah. Am I going to lose sleep over it? Nope. I'll keep collecting, but if Mattel can do something better about it, I'll let them know as a paying customer (just like I bring up the articulation problem every chance I get). I'm sure they even have discussions about boob size -- I mean, how could they NOT? They're designing the figures lmao. It's only creepy or weird if you make it creepy and weird. Girls have boobs, bro. Even my girlfriend comments on this topic when she sees my figs or I show her protos. Her saying Kevin Owens' fig needs a bigger belly didn't come off as sexist or creepy to me, because it was the truth lol. KO has a gut in real life, no matter how athletic he is, it's there. It's an observation. Just like how I see Nia Jax is gonna need a whole new mold completely. I'd equally complain if they put a Nia head on a repainted Nikki Bella body. Inaccurate is inaccurate.

When somebody is talking about fondling their figures, then yeah, I can't defend that. Not at all, lol. But if we're just having a friendly discussion over accuracy, I don't see an issue. I'm just happy we got height scale after years of crappy Jakks figures. If they screw up the boobs, at least I can rest knowing AJ Lee is short as hell and Stephanie towers over her. On a base level, I'm completely satisfied... but, this is a figure board and we sweat the details.

And nobody in my life has ever called me weird for collecting action figures. I'm going on 30 and literally have never had this issue. If anything, my friends admire I have some kick ass figures of Ninja Turtles, super heroes, and wrestlers. It's basically 2016, everyone my age collects SOMETHING nerdy.

But have you ever stopped to think about how we're all collecting figures based off half naked men? It's all weird if you take it there lol. Happy holidays!
