Dean Malenko had to be pried off of Bryan by the referee after the bell. Dean was furious with the outcome and the referee warned him after pulling him away from the exhausted Bryan that he would fine him if Dean did not leave the ring. After having a moment with the referee, Eddie climbed out of the ring and snatched the ring bell away from the timekeeper! While the referee was removing the ring bell, with a slight of hand Eddie snatched the hammer away and grabbed Christians hand and smashed it with the hammer repeatedly as Christian screamed and pleaded with Eddie! Christian Cage was escorted to the back by security and to a nearby ambulance and was sent to a local emergency room.
Meanwhile, Alberto El Patron had an interview with Ms. Hemme.Alberto was very vocal about his distaste for Hulk Hogan and the American audience who idolized him. Alberto called Hulk Hogan a pinche hombre and stated if Hulk Hogan ever returned to World Championship Wrestling, he would end his career for good this time!-- During the commercial-- Off camera, the cameras could not cover the action. Only the sound was played for the viewers at home and audience in attendance. Roddy Piper confronted Alberto El Patron in the locker room. The two men exchanged words before the rest of the locker room intervened. Roddy Piper told Alberto El Patron he wouldn't rest until he not only took the International Heavyweight title but sent him back to his native country!
--Backstage-- In the private locker room of The Horsemen, cameras showed Ric Flair and Barry Windham discussing their plans for the evening. Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard didn't take kindly to the cameras overseeing the conversation and escorted the cameraman out and slammed the door! However Camera's caught, Ms. Elizabeth having a private conversation with former Horsemen Lex Luger without Randy Savage! Once Lex saw the cameras were on the two, Lex held up his hand and pushed the camera away and asked him to leave.
US Championship Qualifier Kevin Von Erich Defeated Lex Luger, Paul Orndorff. @ 15:00 (Claw) Kevin Von Erich was the odd man out when it came to this match, considering his size he had to use his agility to take down the two powerhouses, Orndorff, and Luger! However, Lex Luger and Paul Orndorff were not about to be showed up by a Von Erich! The two basically played a one-up game with each other throughout the match and the ego's of the two allowed Kevin Von Erich to apply the Claw on Orndorff after he slung Lex Luger shoulder first into the steel ring post.
The Main Event Natural Barry Windham Defeated Diamond Dallas Page @ 30:00 Minutes (Assisted Pin) Michael Buffer introduced both participants, Ric Flair escorted the WCW Heavyweight Champion to the ring and remained at ringside for the match. Barry Windham used every underhanded trick Ric Flair taught him during the match but DDP was determined to defeat the champion so he could get a chance to compete for the richest prize in wrestling. However, Barry managed to get a crossbody pin on DDP and Ric Flair grabbed Windham's feet and held on to them on the outside creating extra leverage and DDP was unable to kick out. The referee called for the bell and while Windham demanded his championship! DDP knew what had transpired and he jumped out of the ring clobbering Ric Flair all over the ringside area, until Windham used the title and hit DDP from behind, then the rest of the Horsemen joined them at ringside. They all took turns attacking DDP until Lex Luger rushed the ring and tried to take on all of them at once. However, the numbers game was just too much! After a few minutes of the Horsemen stomping both Luger and DDP, Greg Valentine came out of the crowd and began attacking the Horsemen! He laid them all out and sent them one by one over the top rope to the floor.
Ric Flair regrouped with the Horsemen on the outside with a microphone. Ric Flair screamed at the trio stating The Horsemen would take them on next week as he boasted about their disadvantage! DDP took a microphone of his own and told Ric Flair that it would a fair fight and he there will be a fourth for their team! Ric Flair laughed it off and told the trio they had no chance in getting a forth! All of a sudden, the crowd parted and ECW's Sid stepped over the barricade and climbed in the ring joining Greg, Luger, DDP! Ric Flair basically had a meltdown at ringside and kicked the steps and screamed at them while the other Horsemen looked on as the program came to a close.

Definitely a fun read. The format is good and I love the way the show looks.
The roster is neat, it offers a good variety of wrestlers, and I like that.
The matches were short, but well executed, and I liked the standoff at the end.

WCW's Jim Ross, WCW's Mongo, ECW's Jerry Lawler announced the live portion of the program.
The Horsemen Versus Team Page This match didn't take place at the top of the hour due to the fact all the participants couldn't be separated in a locker room brawl. Johnny Ace, Eric Bischoff, Harley Race and the officials finally separated the two groups. Johnny Ace called for the first match to be the qualifier for the Battle Bowl while he sorted this whole ordeal out.
American Dragon Bryan Danielson Defeated Sun Dragon Johnny Curtis w/Summer (Submission) After Monday's loss, Bryan was determined to defeat Johnny to enter in the Battle Bowl. However, Johnny was up to no good with his valet Summer using her as a distraction to slow Bryan down. Bryan however, would manage to get the two to run into one another at ringside when Johnny bumped his head with Summer's! This allowed Bryan to take advantage of the now dazed Johnny and bring him back into the ring where he applied the cross armbar to get the victory.
Alberto El Patron was shown backstage with Ice on his knee. Meanwhile, Officials were holding back Lex Luger accusing him of attacking Alberto after the two had an altercation. Roddy Piper made his way through the sea of officials to find out from the head trainer, Alberto was unable to compete until he was cleared by a medical facility. Roddy Piper then told Lex Luger since the two of them were dressed there would be a US Championship match tonight and Luger would be his opponent!
Model Rick Martel Defeated Wonderful Paul Orndorff (Pin) While Paul used his strength, his arrogance would get the best of him yet again. Rick Martel rolled Paul Orndorff up after he thought he had defeated Rick Martel when the referee only counted to two and he prematurely celebrated and Rick rolled him up during the celebration as the referee trying to tell him the match was still going on.
Rowdy Roddy Piper Versus Natural Lex Luger (No Contest) Lex Luger came to the ring first, during his posing Macho Man rushed the ring and hit him across the upper back with the steel chair with Ms. Elizabeth pleading with Randy Savage on the apron to stop. Roddy Piper ran down to the ring only to get clocked right across shoulder, and across the back with the chair. Randy Savage then took a microphone and sat down in the chair picking up the US belt looking at it while he addressed the audience. Randy Savage explained Piper was in the wrong place at the wrong time and this was between Lex Luger and him but since Piper wanted to "stick his nose in his business" he would take something from him like Lex Luger was trying to take from him.
The Horsemen Defeated Team Page (Pin) The match was a very even match both teams working well together to face off with each other. Lex Luger stayed on the ring apron for the majority of the match after being cleared but he was still a bit sore from Savage's attack. Around twenty minutes into the match, the referee lost control. Sid got dumped out of the ring and both teams left the apron to fight it out in the ring and out. Sid then climbed back in tagged in DDP who popped up on the apron asked for the tag. Sid caught Tully with a chokeslam then grabbed DDP! He let go of Tully and choke slammed DDP and then rolled Tully over on him allowing the referee to count to three as he kept everyone else on his team out of the ring. The Horsemen then celebrated and Alberto El Patron came down and attacked Lex Luger. The Horsemen dominated DDP, Luger, Greg with Sid and El Patron's help! out of nowhere Hulk Hogan's theme played and he came out to a standing ovation! He ripped his shirt and rushed the ring and threw everyone out, expect El Patron who bailed out not wanting anything to do with Hulk Hogan! Hulk Hogan, DDP. Luger, Greg stood tall in the ring. Barry, however, grabbed his title and refused to acknowledge what just took place and tried to leave but ran into STING! The non-televised matches sound just as good as TV! I hope those talents are being groomed for the main show. Lots of different styles at work here, and they're all welcome in my book. "Variety is the spice of life" as they say. Who doesn't love a good classic WCW fed? I'm really looking forward to these shows and I hope that we'll see you around more often.

I like the use of photos in your work, as well as different coloured text; it's very reminiscent of a chap I became familiar with some time ago...
It's all very well done, you have a flow in mind when it comes to your version of Nitro, and seeing Legends Mattel figures and some interesting fixups helps make it that much more authentic.
As I left a comment for MadDogJoe, I hope that if you're at all able, you can find yourself perhaps commenting on others' shows, giving some substantial updates in your info thread and sharing some thoughts in the Chat Thread.
Cheers.

I like the shows. Its a good mix of talent all across. And intriuging storylines too. I'm a big fan of your Eddie Gilbert custom and the fact that you use ol Hot Stuff in your fed. Good stuff!

WCW's Jim Ross, WCW's Mongo, ECW's Jerry Lawler announced the live portion of the program.
American Dragon Bryan Danielson Versus Alberto El Patron Disqualification Alberto avoided Bryan for the majority of the match. Alberto took to the outside several times during the portions of the match. At one point El Patron refused to compete and tried to walk away only to be met with apron front drop kick from the American Dragon. Bryan rolled Alberto in the ring and through a series of quick counters by each star, Bryan was able to his speed to his advantage and reverse El Patron's attempt at a cross arm bar and reverse it into one of his own. Alberto struggled to make it to the bottom rope but somehow managed to reach to just barely touch it. The referee intervened to break the hold and El Patron rolled under the bottom rope. Bryan moved the referee aside and ran across the ring and dived through the middle rope with a dive only to be met with Alberto's International title! The referee called for the bell and Alberto began laying the boots to Bryan on the outside. The referee tried to intervene but couldn't get the enraged El Patron off of Bryan!
Eddie Guerrero/Bryan Danielson Versus Alberto El Parton/Dean Malenko Finally, Eddie Guerrero came to Bryan's aid and El Patron then stared down his former friend Eddie before the referee stepped between them. About that time, Iceman Dean Malenko made his way down to the ringside heading toward Bryan who was being attended too, before being stopped by Eric Bischoff who rushed out to intervene in this chaotic situation. Eric Bischoff took a microphone and announced a tag match after the commercial. After the quick break back in the ring Bryan and Dean while Eddie and Alberto stood in their respective corners. Eddie used the crowd to get behind Bryan to get him to make the tag! Meanwhile, Dean and Alberto kept him away from the corner by using quick tags to keep each of them fresh and able to keep the American Dragon on the mat. Finally after a few minutes of that, Bryan reversed Dean and made the tag! Eddie cleared the ring and apron and caught Dean with the three amigo's before tagging in Bryan who flew from the top to the center of the ring with a head butt. Bryan got the win at 20:00 minutes! Bryan and Eddie celebrated as Alberto left Dean alone outside the ring and snatched his belt away from the timekeeper storming away from the ringside area!
commercial advertising WCW Battle Bowl!
Místico Versus Syxx (No Winner) Místico made his official debut with a warm welcome from the audience. Syxx stood across the ring unimpressed, to say the least. Syxx didn't wait for the bell and attacked him as he was removing his entrance coat! Syxx used some unfair tactics to keep Místico grounded! The referee warned Syxx many times throughout the match he would DQ him! Syxx thought he had the match won with the Syxx Factor but Místico kicked out at two to his and the audience's surprise! Syxx was about to set up for another one and Místico Countered it into a standing Spanish fly! Místico was about to go for the cover when the lights blinked! Once they returned to normal Star Dust had Místico set up for the Cross Dimension! The referee called for the bell and threw the match out due to interference. Syxx wanted no part of Star Dust or that situation he quickly snatched his title away from the timekeeper and rushed away from ringside, only to be met with an unfamiliar theme! Syxx looked at the stage in confusion only to see ECW's Television Champion Rob Van Dam step out taunting him with his signature taunt! Referees quickly came out and stood between the two as Rob Van Dam smirked and left leaving the WCW television champion Syxx furious and now embarrassed as the fans chanted Syxx is scared!
Backstage Paul Orndorff, Kevin Von Erich, Arn Anderson, Brian Pillman, Christian Cage (with cast on hand), Eddie Gilbert, Dean Malenko, William Regal, Mr. Cesaro, Diamond Dallas Page, Johnny Curtis, Sid. Stood in Eric Bischoff's office complaining. Each one basically had the same complaint that the final five entries in the Battle Bowl were not decided. Eric Bischoff explained the final five were former World champions! The group then began to talk among themselves again trying to figure out who the final five were. Eric Bischoff raised his voice to stop the chatter and stated they would all find out on Sunday, and then he asked them all to kindly leave his office.
At Ringside, Randy Savage and Ms. Elizabeth came out to a not so warm welcome. Randy Savage with mic in hand, told the audience to "shut it" In the ring, the referee kept Lex Luger and Roddy Piper from going after him. Randy Savage discussed his recent actions before hyping his tag team partner. Randy Savage then stated this man needed no introduction and pointed to the stage. Razor Ramon stepped out to a stunned audience! Razor joined Randy at the ring and the two whispered to each other about their opponents. The tag match started off with Savage and Roddy in the ring, the match would go on for about thirty minutes with each team tagging in and out several times, of course, Savage and Razor used underhanded tactics to keep them on the mat. Randy Savage went up to drop the elbow and Lex hit the top rope causing Savage to stumble and fall on the top turnbuckle! Roddy jumped up and SuperPlexed him off the top and rolled him up into a cradle pin once on the mat for the three! while Lex Luger kept Razor out of the ring! The duo celebrated while the defeated Razor and Savage left ringside. Ms. Elizabeth seemed happy at Savage's loss.
Ring Announcer Micheal Buffer introduced the Main Event.
"Hulkster Hulk Hogan Versus WCW Heavyweight Champion Barry Windham Ric Flair accompanied Barry Windham to the ring, as Hulk Hogan watched eagerly awaiting for the bell! The two locked up as soon as the bell rang and Hulk Hogan dominated the match for the most part! Hulk Hogan seemed to have studied his opponent each time Barry tried an underhanded move Hulk reversed it! Ric Flair saw his champion could possibly lose this outing and tried to intervene! However, Hulk Hogan was right there with a huge right hand decking Ric Flair and knocking him out on the apron. Hogan then turned and caught Windham with a big boot! Around this time, there was ruckus in the front row. A woman jumped over the guard rail and rushed in the ring, she spun Hogan around and caught him with a huge slap! To Hogan and everyone else's surprise, it was none other than Paige by the slap as the referee called for the bell! The duo then attacked Hogan and drug him into the corner where they began mercilessly stomping him! Ric Flair climbed in the ring and signaled for the other Horsemen to join them! Ric then turned to see STING dragging Arn and Tully out and tossing them on the floor! Everyone in the ring turned their attention to Sting and Hogan rolled under the bottom rope joining Sting at the ramp! Sting stood still and pointed his bat at them before glancing at Hulk Hogan as he turned and left as the program came to a close!

Wow, I wasn't expecting so many new faces to appear in the latest episode, but I like it ...in all its chaotic glory. I always enjoy the pairing of two solid workers like AmDrag and El Patron, both of whom you know will approach a match with different intentions based on their face/heel alignment, yet they still deliver in the ring, regardless of the amount of time allotted to them, because that's just what they can do. Don't even get me started on Guerrero and Malenko. Their very presence at ringside adds a whole new dimension to the match at hand. I was glad to see Danielson pick up the win for his team. Everyone served their purpose in this impromptu tag match and they all came out looking like winners to me. Battle Bowl can't come soon enough! lol The roster you've compiled is STACKED and I can't wait to see which dream matches you'll think up next. I'm curious to see what becomes of RVD singling out Syxx. Astro Boy 2 sure won't have too many pleasant memories of his WCW debut, if he can even remember them. Five former World champions you say... I don't even want to speculate because I want to be surprised at the order. You're giving me flashbacks I didn't even know I had of Savage and Ramon teaming together, though I'm probably thinking of Ric Flair playing the part of Savage. I can definitely see Piper hooking the legs for a finish like that, and it's great because Savage's top-rope mishap leaves the door open for more between these four legends. Oh, and tsk-tsk Miss Elizabeth. What's that old Tammy Wynette song? "Stand by Your Man"? lol Man, I never thought I'd see the day Hogan and Crow Sting stand side by side to close a show, but stranger things have happened. Did I say strange? How about Paige showing up on Nitro! Now THAT was unexpected. Thanks for sharing.

Once the referee called for the bell each superstar stood in their respective corners staring down Danielson who was standing in the middle of the squared circle, each superstar took their turn to try to take him down. Bryan countered each one of their attempts until it was down to the American Dragon and The Sun Dragon. The two tied up with one another and Danielson put him down on the canvas very quickly reversing his attempt at several different styles of swift kicks. The match carried on with each superstar taking control of this fast paced match, in the middle of the match in a blink of an eye, Místico flew from the top rope with Johnny in a Spanish fly! This gave Místico a small window to get the win, but Dean Malenko was right there to stop him. The match would go on with Danielson trying to get the upper hand on each one of them, until Dean Malenko stopped him with several German suplexes. Meanwhile The Sun Dragon collected himself on the outside after spilling out with Star Dust. He came back and took control taking Malenko down. He was about to finish the match until Alex Wright came dancing from the audience and began wooing Summer Rae at ringside with his amazing dance skills. This infuriated Johnny and he immediately turned his attention to them! Star Dust saw this opening and rushed in catching Johnny with his signature move and then hooked both legs and pinned him for the three count! Star Dust then rolled out of the ring pointing at Místico who was just a little too late in stopping the count!
Television Championship Match
Model Rick Martel Versus Syxx (c) Rick Martel and Syxx wasted little time once the bell had rung. The two went toe to toe with each other reversing each others attempts. Finally, Syxx out of desperation grabbed Martel by the ponytail and slung him through the middle rope to the floor. This was met by a loud outburst of boo's from the audience! Syxx waved them off and climbed out onto the outside of the turnbuckle. He went for a body splash on the outside but Martel was able to side step him at the last second! Syxx hit the thin floor mats face first! Martel used, this time, to rush Syxx back into the ring! Martel tried a Northern Light Suplex into the pin but the two superstars were too close to the ropes and Syxx put his foot on the bottom rope! Martel tried to set up for his signature but Syxx reversed it and caught him with a roundhouse kick right to the temple! Martel collapsed to the mat and the referee rushed over checking on him, Syxx stood over them as the referee looked up and signaled for the bell. The ring announcer rushed into the ring to get the official word as Syxx stood by an unconscious Martel! The referee awarded the match to Syxx and told the audience Martel was KO'd by the round house kick. The referee quickly scrambled back to Martel's side calling for assistance from the back. Meanwhile, Syxx snatched the microphone away from the ring announcer! Match Winner Syxx @ 21:00 (KO)
Syxx told the audience in attendance that, this is what they had to look forward too if Rob Van Dam came back to WCW!
Backstage Christian Cage arrived at the arena, he stepped out of his car only to get jumped by Eddie Gilbert! Eddie grabbed the injured arm of Christian and slammed it into the car door! Officials rushed out to the parking lot along with Eric Bischoff. The officials separated them as the trainer rushed to Christians side. After a quick examination, the trainer told Eric Bischoff Christian Cage would not be able to compete this evening! Eric was so furious with the actions of Eddie Gilbert, he suspended and told security to escort him from the building! Back at ringside, Steven Richards mentioned on commentary there was now two spots available in Battle Bowl since neither man would be competing in it! Steven boasted he would be taking one of those spots while Jim Ross tried to recap anyone just joining the broadcast!
NO HOLDS BARRED Nature Boy Ric Flair Versus Diamond Dallas Page This match never officially started. The two men began brawling with one another at the Gorilla position! DDP jumped Ric Flair and The Horsemen as they were getting set to make their entrance. DDP had a baseball bat, he hit everyone in sight including the staff! DDP took all of the Horsemen down to their knees with the bat and then stripped the robe off of Ric Flair and tossed him into the arena! The fans cheered as DDP tossed the baseball bat aside as he followed a battered Ric Flair as he slowly crawled down the aisle. DDP grabbed a now bloody Ric Flair by the hair and drug him over to the announce desk. Steven Richards shouted at DDP as he stripped the announce desk bare! DDP picked up the second monitor and just cracked Richards across the skull with it! The lines broke on it and sparks flew from it as DDP tossed it aside! DDP then drove Ric Flair onto the announce desk with a Jackknife powerbomb! The desk didn't break but instead flipped over sending a bloody Flair crashing to the floor! The referee rushed over only to get caught with a Diamond Cutter! DDP then spun around and taunted the crowd with his signature hand pose! DDP looked down at Flair and waved him off and walked backstage leaving Ric Flair lying in a pool of his own blood. Jim Ross readjusted his headset and called for someone to come get Richards and Flair! (NO Winner)
United States Championship Match Randy Savage Versus Roddy Piper (c) Versus Lex Luger
Randy Savage came out last and to everyone's surprise alone! All three men stood in the center of the ring as the referee rang the bell. All three men stared each other down before exchanging hands with one another. Roddy Piper and Lex Luger dominated the match teaming up on Randy Savage. Once they finished beating down Savage they both tossed him over the top and shook hands and locked up with one another! The two fought back and forth and Piper was able to sidestep one of Luger's clotheslines sending him chest first into the turnbuckle and into the referee!. Luger stumbled out of the turnbuckle and dropped to a knee against the ropes trying to pull himself up as Piper signaled him to turn around! Randy Savage crawled in the ring and Piper stopped him trying to keep him down on the canvas. Piper turned his back to the entrance way and out of no where Dennis Rodman rushed the ring and caught Piper with a huge Big Foot! Knocking Piper down and out on the mat. Randy quickly scrambled over to the top rope and dropped the elbow as Dennis Rodman got out of the ring and out of sight. Randy connected with the elbow and the referee rolled over and slowly made the three count! Winner: The New United States Champion Randy Savage (Pin)
Dennis Rodman snatched the belt away from the timekeeper and awarded it to Randy Savage and the two celebrated as they left the ringside area. Meanwhile in the ring, Piper pulled himself up on the middle rope watching them celebrate with a furious look on his face!

The two rushed to the center of the ring locking up with one another! The match went back and forth for a while until Paige decided to get involved! She jumped up on the ring apron and Jesse pulled her off, she turned and deck Jesse knocking him down! I like the appearance of that custom Starrcade graphic.
Even though I wanted to see Danielson come away with the win, I'm glad Stardust was able capitalize on the situation and become number one contender.
Speaking of the participants, Alex Wright and Johnny Curtis in a dance-off would absolutely have my undivided attention lol.
Syxx pulling off the upset was a bit of shocker to me, but he's more than capable of holding his own as the new TV champ.
First WWF No Mercy and now WCW's Battle Bowl?!? Steven Richards just knows how to be in the right place at the right time.
On second thought, maybe he's not so fortunate after all lol.
It seems DDP didn't have a preference for who he beat on as long as he got out his frustrations, but I'm sure The Four Horsemen will have a coordinated attack planned for the next time they meet Page. He better hope it's in the ring and not out on the streets.
Randy Savage with the assist from Dennis Rodman of all people made for an exciting conclusion to the U.S. title match.
WCW's Battle Bowl certainly lived up to the hype, what with Goldberg decimating the competition and the setup for a once-in-a-lifetime Triple Threat match.
I can only imagine what Jesse "The Body" Ventura was thinking when he cost Hogan his shot at the WCW Heavyweight title.
Windham is lucky to escape with his belt, and Paige's involvement leaves me with more questions than answers.
Was there resolution across the board at Starrcade? Maybe not, but nonetheless, it was an entertaining read. Thanks for sharing.

The audiences attention turned to the rafters as Sting descended from them. The first segment flowed well into the Luger heel turn on Piper; I like how this accomplished so much in a little period of time. Danielson and Astro Boy 2 put on a good show; I'm curious to see how far American Dragon will make it in the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. I thought for sure that El Patrón would use some underhanded tactic to best Eddie Guerrero, but Eddie's revival brought great dramatic tension to the match. Bret refusing to submit to the Steiner Recliner doesn't surprise me, but seeing Steiner keep up with Bret with all that extra muscle mass does. I LOVE the spot with Fox in the Sharpshooter; an enraged Bret is an entertaining Bret, and now Steiner has a reason to want to submit him again. Great stuff. The DQ finish to Syxx's TV title defense sets up for some great matches with RVD and Stardust at a later date. Maybe even a Triple Threat? Ventura's got it out for Hogan, no doubt about it, but would he really want to be the one who gives Hogan another title opportunity? Is he even capable of being an impartial referee? I can't wait to see how this plays out. Sid was next. I really like where this is headed for Goldberg having to face both AJ Styles and Seth Rollins. Talk about two top-notch opponents who won't be easy to take out. Also, I sense an Eight-Man Tag Team match on the horizon after the conclusion of the WCW Tag Team Championship match. If not, I'm sure there will be something equally as enticing for next time. As always, thanks for sharing.

The two reversed each other's Belly to Belly's throughout the match and overpowered each other several times before Bret Hart rolled out from under the ring and clocked Scott Steiner with a steel pipe behind the referees back. Big E took advantage of Bret's involvement and pinned Steiner with the Big Splash at 18:00 minutes.
Hemme interviewed Randy Savage and Lex Luger before the match.
NO DQ Match Roddy Piper Versus Lex Luger These two didn't wait for the bell or a referee. The two began brawling backstage and ended up at ringside after tearing apart the dressing room and the backstage area. Lex Luger tried to escape from Piper's grasp several times but Piper kept chasing after him. Finally, the made their way into the ring where Piper would finish the match with a pin after Piledriving Lex onto a steel chair!
Before Piper could celebrate his victory, Savage rushed the ring attacking him. When Luger regained his senses he picked up the steel chair as Randy held on to Piper telling Lex to hit him with the steel chair.. until a familiar theme began playing through the PA system and it was Curt Hennig's! The cruiserweights once again deliver on an action-packed Nitro, but as Del Rio would say, I'm sure you already know that. Lots of great storyline progression here with X-Pac and Bret Hart interfering, Alex Wright dance-stracting (yeah I made it up), and Goldberg confronting Heyman. It's nice to see Curt Hennig find his way back to WCW; he's in good company now with the likes of Piper, Savage and Luger. I suspect Jesse's fast count will only further stoke the fire within Hogan and these two will HAVE to come to blows soon. Thanks again for your contributions to the board, @wcw123! Nitro always leaves me with that warm and fuzzy feeling on the inside lol.
