There was complaining when Mattel switched from the numbered belts to the chairs. There was complaining when Mattel dropped the chase pieces altogether. Now there is complaining because Mattel is bringing the chase program back? Hmmm.... Coming soon ... complaining because Mattel makes figures.

I understand figures are expensive as hell anymore and people want what they want. But I grew up with figures that looked like this: I was thrilled when figures with articulated arms came out: And overjoyed when we got figures where you could move their arms AND legs: Now this? This is a masterpiece: Everyone needs to keep in mind that we could still be getting figures like the ones that LJN, Hasbro, and Jakks put out. So if the hair is two shades too light or we're getting a free belt (which you don't actually HAVE to buy)...then that's not bad at all.

I just bought one at walmart thursday My point is that if you don't want the belt, there will be PLENTY without it. I got that. I just wanted to be THAT GUY one time

The bad thing is on Ringside the prices with the belts are a lot more. If they hit retail like this I'd pick Triple H up.

This right here should put soap in everyone's mouth. People here are soooooo damn spoiled that they always find the most minuscule thing to complain about JUST to complain. I love the fact that you shared this because it shows how FAR toys in general have come. And what an awesome all around figure MattelDesignTeam have produced and put in our hands and into our collection. I know I've complained a little about some QC experiences I've had but to complain about a BELT VARIANT is just downright childish and pathetic. And the sad part about everything is that the ones complaining are GROWN ASS MEN and not the children these figures were mainly intended for. I'm honestly surprised that Bill has returned here and is active in the forum. I also respect him and give him credit for continuing answering people's questions even though he gets bashed for making figures that people here want and have requested and some of you guys still SPIT on his work. Some of you guys need to GROW UP and get your priorities straight in life. Complaining about an added belt bonus is just plain sad

tbh i think this is cool af , i love the gold strap belt and i want one. i understand how moc collectors might be upset if the superstar didnt even hold that belt, but you can always look for a one without it. another thing is that i think they do this because most people still dont have the updated wwewhc belt and that is a great way to make everyone have it. maybe its not accurate, but its unique and kids will love it. you hate it? its too bad, because imo , that's just too damn good

Sure, some of the paint is sloppy sometimes, the price sucks, distribution sucks, sometimes there are attire choices I'm not a fan of...but the simple fact is that the figures they're putting out right now at this moment in time are phenomenal. I think those complaining about the elite Balor don't understand how making a toy works. All that fancy demon paint that's going onto the chest and upper stomach? It's not hand painted. It's essentially stamped onto the figure. If they use a super ripped torso mold, they're going to have to heavily modify the painting process or else the designs aren't going to sink into all the nooks and crannies like they should. So, they made the call to use a torso that would support the paint scheme. Look at the basic Balor. Ripped torso because it's not painted up. Get it yet? I know people want the figures to look as perfect as they can, but they can only do so much. Now, to complain about getting an extra belt for no extra cost? That's just plain ridiculous. These aren't going to pegwarm. They're just something silly and fun to get people back into chasing and hunting for figures. You buy one and don't like the belt? Throw it away or hell, give it to someone here. I'll bet a lot of people will collect these. If anyone wants to send me one, I'll take it. They remind me of the old Hasbro belts. A nice dose of nostalgia.

I don't get why people are complaining about a free belt. Who cares if Truth never held it? It's a free belt. It's not meant to be accurate if just a little something for people who find it. This board is bipolar.

Well, Honky certainly thinks he was... I always wondered what the deal was with that belt and why he carried it with him at signings cause I've seen more then one pic of him with it An I.C title would make a lot more sense for him to be carrying around
