It would be funny if they pulled a three faces of Foley type deal....have Stardust get eliminated and then have then Cody Rhodes enter shortly after. That would be pretty awesome.

... I just realized this thread wasn't made by Cody Rhodes Diva.
That makes two in the last month. She's off her game.

its sad that the wwe "creative" team really has no ing clue a gimmick/character like Stardust could have been something amazing. something that 10/15 years from now after Cody has left for awhile would come back and be like how Goldust is revered and loved as an iconic character of wrestling history. Cody's run as Stardust has been mostly forgettable as a whole. At first it was amazing, you could tell he was 100% into the character, and sold it better than anything he had in awhile. Eventually the passion wears thin when you realize you're not going anywhere and the last 6+ months of Stardust have been jobbersville USA. They have destroyed yet ANOTHER awesome idea.

Cody Rhodes is the best wrestler in the company who hasn't had the trigger pulled on him. He has a magnificent look. He can go in the ring and on the mic. He's still so young. WWE could get so much use out of Cody going forward and it's a ing shame that he was never even World Heavyweight Champion at least once over the 2011-2013 time period when he was ready for the spotlight.

Stardust is great, but he's gone too far without having anything happen with him. I will always and will forever be part of the Stardust Section. Cody should be a threat as Stardust or Rhodes.

he is just one of the many talented guys that can do anything with nothing but will never get a shot at the big one. He can pull up a seat next to Sandow and Cesaro.

Ugh no interest? What? Cody Rhodes is way better than Stardust. The Stardust gimmick is going absolutely nowhere. He should be returning as Cody and getting a main event push. He deserves it.

Talented guy, absolutely. Not a fan of the Stardust gimmick but then again it's just something that's not for me...

Would love to see him back with sandow only both serious contenders for the title. So much talent and could really revive the main event scene together.

I think it would be pretty cool for him to wrestle as both Stardust and Cody Rhodes. Have one match on a show and then later have another match. Maybe have Cody win the IC or US title, while stardust can stay with Acension maybe.

I'm beyond tired of Stardust. The character should not have lasted this long.

AMEN! It makes zero sense to me why he never won the WHT in 2012/2013..

Still salty eh? Not salty since it's untrue. Just figured I'd say it. You usually say the same thing in any topic about Cody Rhodes. It's like the same 5-10 posts recycled in most threads actually. Yes, I apologise for not saying different things in each of the 3000 "bring back Boring Cody Rhodes" threads that have been posted -- but the whole "inb4 opinions that make me salty" routine you're throwing into threads lately isn't particularly groundbreaking either. Just like the Boring Cody Rhodeth gimmick, hence WWE being in no rush to bring it back. What would it offer that the likes of Ziggler, Neville, Cesaro, Swagger etc aren't? The Boring Cody gimmick that fails every time in the big leagues would definitely warrant a world title push in TNA though, for what that's worth. Now watch those sodium levels On a more interesting Cody Rhodes subject, I was reading an old PWTorch Q&A yesterday (from 2011 or so) that had a Cody Rhodes question. It was a weird theory about Triple H burying him because of a grudge against second generation wrestlers, and it ended with "Your thoughts?" I popped for the catchphrase even though the asker hadn't used her Wfigs username.

I love Cody as much as the next guy on here, but he's never going to be considered a main event player by WWE. Nothing he does will ever change that.
I personally think that Goldust, being as over as he was and as talented as he was, should have been WWF champion. Something that also never occurred to Vince.
Why?
Because they have the name Rhodes, and a Rhodes can't be world champion in WWE. They remind Vince way too much of the NWA and the type of wrestling he dismantled in the 80s.

I like Cody a lot, but his lisp does hurt him. He doesn't have as much charisma as his father did to make it work. I like him in the ring, and I like him in general, and would have no problem with him being elevated. But it seems like that just isn't going to happen. Honestly, being Stardust was probably the final nail in the coffin because now he is considered a comedy character, which is very difficult to recover from. I understand why he didn't want to drop Stardust when Dusty died, but I also feel like it would have been the best thing for his career if he had.

Stardust is a great character but unfortunately it seems like the "creative" team only has time for one man. Really sucks because a character like Stardust basically writes itself.
