I have a feeling we will see HOF 4 and the next Box-set BP 40 Basic 61 Elite 32 Summerslam Heritage Ringside Y2J and a few finished upcoming basic figs.. Becky Lynch Baron Corbin Samoa Joe Apollo Crews Demon Balor Yes I may be going way way overboard, (The mattel showing is always saved for SDCC) but even if one of these things is on the TFNY floor in the AM, I will be content. I've already seen E32, it was rubbish! Nah man, Still need Sin Cara, Big E, Rey and Henry

Looks like Mattel is releasing a 3D printer(Thingmaker) for $300 later this year, maybe we can use it for our accessories, Owen, and Benoit heads? I doubt it'll work like that though. Probably won't be possible: (source: forbes) So that looks more like the parts in Tinkerplay when using Tinkercad; a couple of balljoints and sockets, limbs, hips, torso, head (all robotic and skeleton). And this link shows Tinkerplay (a free app for android, iphone, windows 10) figures.

From what I understand of the 3D technology you should be able to scan a picture or object and it will print out a 3D replica. I know there are personal 3D printers out there but I've never seen any in person. This technology has been around for a few years now, it's surprising it's not become more prevalent in the collecting community, unless I'm just missing hearing about it. If this is what mattels device is able to do, it may well be worth the investment.

Maybe people will hack it or something eventually, but out of the box it'll be locked to things that Mattel releases official data for. So it doesn't seem worth it for the money (to me at least).

Still a neat tool and maybe some of the parts can be applied or used with wrestling like joints or accessories, etc. but your right, for the limitations probably not worth the investment. Damn I was ready to open my own business too lol.

There are ways to make your print smoother afterwards but they're time consuming and involve chemicals. The newest 3D Printers print in thinner layers, and even though action figures with multiple POA are being designed and printed today I haven't come across a design with a detailed celebrity's head. Besides, the figure I'm speaking of has a generic bald head and takes more than a day to print. Afterwards you'll need to sand the joints for a perfect fit and assemble your figure.

Basically, it seems that guys on here expect a PS4, but 3D printers are barely at the Atari stage. Give it a decade or two.

Well they're not that bad, I've seen great stuff being made: articulated dragons, simple toy playsets, cars, wargame pieces, dice-towers, castles, ...

Wonder if we will get a new Taker headscan or if they will reuse the one from the last SS Heritage set. I think the old heritage one works, but I would like to personally see a new one with Bret Hart hair strands or maybe the heritage hair on the DM4 head. Also, I unrealistically hope the other battle pack is Bret v Owen from Summerslam 94, but I'll be perfectly happy with Triple H v Shawn from 2002. Oh, and thanks MattelDesignTeam for the kick @$$ heritage set and shark cage playset! I was bangin' on about getting new specialty match playsets like the shark cage, ambulance, and buried alive a few months ago and this one is absolutely awesome, I'm buying 2 at least.
