I agree with most everyone. The QC has been pretty bad lately. I ordered most of the last couple of waves on line but left everyone in the box so Im not too sure about the joints but the paint jobs have all been good. Im pretty lucky that way. The stuff I see in the stores has been pretty bad. I always sit there and compare the figures forever. People are probably looking at me weird but whatever. Its not these things are 5 bucks.

And this is why Bill left this place Absolutely not! I don't agree with verbal abuse to Bill, but as I've said already I think the design of the figures is excellent - and that's down to Bill and his design team. However that doesn't mean we don't have the right to complain about inferior products. It's perhaps not the right comparison, but if you buy a pair of trainers or shoes and they come with a defect you'd be pretty annoyed and well within your rights to ask for an exchange. Companies like Ringside and eBay don't want to know about QC and paint issues (unless the figure is actually broken), and I can kinda see where they come from too. Ok these figures don't cost as much as shoes but it can still be pretty expensive if you place a big order (especially if you're shipping internationally) and I just don't think the quality is good enough. I wonder if there's any way Mattel could tighten their quality checks?

The only quality control issues I've had with Mattel products are Hot Wheels cars not rolling straight due to a bad wheel. Other than that I can't complain. Tampo's are a different story.

Despite whatever issue I or anyone else has had these are way better than Jakks and most of the figures they make are amazing. It is by far my favorite line of wrestling figures that wwe/wwf has ever produced. I def see both signs of it. Its very frustrating to finally find a figure you have been hunting for and the face is screwed up but the product must be good enough if we are hunting for the figure in the first place.

It is very annoying. Yesterday I finally found HOF 3 and Macho Man had Gold on his head and when he holds the scepter the arm falls right down. MDM had a loose hand, it was an easy swap but still annoying. And Jimmy Hart's swivel and hand were so loose I had to take him back.

I guess people like P.J. and myself that constantly buy tons of figures and have a huge collection have the best luck in the world. Maybe we should have won the powerball.
With every elite styled figure produced ( legends, dm, hof, elite and all variants) and maybe 50 basics. I've had no more than 5 figures have issues.
And I'm no apologist. If something is wrong with a figure, I'll say something.

The upcoming E41 Balor is going to be a nightmare for QC, so much scope on that figure for paint app mess ups. I am also fearing this figures QC, as I preordered it because I know I won't see it up in Canada... It cost me $58 including shipping and the exchange rate, and I haven't seen the figure, quite the gamble... haha. and why would you say that you won't see it in canada. the only way you won't see it is if you don't go look for it. we've been getting some of the best distribution for quite awhile

Only real bad paint ive seen lately in the BP36 Big E. All are bad. but the thing that i keep finding (and you cant find till you open the figure) is about 80% have a rattle. Like a small piece of plastic is stuck inside the torso. Bugs the crap out of me. I bought a figure not a Maraca!!

E40 Umaga was a big decider in my collecting future. Because of the QC on that (i.e. It's inability to stand) I've decided to cut my collecting WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY back. My wallet's very happy about that. Heavily backing this You can't move the legs, meaning you can't play with it You can't move the feet, meaning you can't stand it up So unless you're a MOC collector, then it's worthless Obviously it can be sorted with boiling water (as I did), but really, after spending £18 on a toy, I don't really expect to have to perform minor surgery on it just to get it to do a simple task like standing up...

I tried the boiling water on it, and if anything, it made the problem worse. That part I've bolded, I couldn't agree more. That's the catalyst for me cutting right down on collecting.

most "collector" toys come with a base for the intention of it being posed and standing. Mattel decided to stop including bases.

So many defects just in the face alone, why and how do they allow this to get packed and shipped??? There has to be a bin or something that they would toss scrap like this, I really don't get it

they dont get scrapped for some paint being a lil off. it would need some major defects to get tossed. They produce way too many things to get into checking each figure with a magnifying glass like some people here think they should do.

And we really don't have super powers to decide which one has perfect joints. But everyone in here, you are just stupid. Speaktomewarriors is a god and we are just his peasants. Calm down. I didn't attack you did I? So need to attack me. I was merely outlining my opinion. Buy at retail, it's safer Not necessarily...all of the goofs I have are either involving the articulation or paint application on places that can't be seen due to the packaging covering them up.

my only issue with the QC of the product really is now around scale - or lack of attention to scale it seems.
One of the biggest selling points for me with Mattel, and what prevented me from buying thunder thigh RA figures - was scale. And now it seems that's out the window with figures either too tall or too short.
