Hey guys,
I was listening to the Bryan and Vinny show on F4WOnline and they were reviewing the most recent episode of NXT. Bryan Alvarez noted that Tommaso Ciampa is pulling a James Storm - working without a contract. Alvarez wondered if Ciampa could really go full James Storm by signing with TNA, so he sent his WWE contacts an email asking them if they're worried Ciampa could just sign with TNA at the drop of the hat. Their response: anyone is a fool if they choose to sign with TNA over NXT/WWE and they sincerely believe TNA will be out of business by year's end. Alvarez doesn't think so but he made it clear WWE is expecting 2016 to be the year of TNA's demise.
I don't think TNA will ever die for some reason. But maybe it's just all caught up to them by year's end? What do you guys think? Was it foolish for Storm to come back even though TNA paid him more than WWE was offering?

I feel in a couple more years it'll be over. It was dumb as hell of Storm to do what he did...

Well, I mean, people have been saying that every year since around 2013.
Frankly, it's just a waiting game at this point. It's never been more clear that TNA is on its last legs.
It's a shame, too, because TNA actually does have enough talent within the company still that they could put on far better shows than WWE each week - instead, they choose to make Matt Hardy a main eventer, and put on a months-long convoluted World Title tournament that ends exactly where it began.
The only way TNA can survive now, is bring in someone with the IQ of more than a chicken - aka Dixie's - into creative, and get some young blood in the company. Ciampa would be a good start, as would Trevor Lee, but they still need more - especially in the KOs and X-Division.

The deal he signed is supposedly for 1.5x what WWE was offering, and guaranteed no matter whether TNA goes under or not - with the door still open to return to NXT. If anything, it's brilliant.

I'm not thinking money though. What could happen in WWE with him What could happen in TNA with him I'm pretty sure WWE would have bigger opportunities imo.

WWE: Mid-carder TNA: Mid-carder, possible main eventer Storm is 38. His ceiling in WWE is a mid-carder, at best. If he stays in NXT and becomes a main eventer there, that's still not a bigger opportunity than staying in TNA and cashing in - especially since the door is still open for him to go to NXT in the future.

TNA's been dead for the last few years now. As far as a product, that I agree with. However, I tire of these TNA will be dead by year end. EVERY year this is speculated and every year TNA comes back. In 20 years, I still see the same thing being said. Its the year 2036....TNA will be dead by year end.

Only way TNA will be out of business by the end of the year is if they get cancelled by POP TV and no other network wants them.

The day TNA dies is the day Panda Energy decides to pull the plug. After they got the POP TV deal, I'm convinced that TNA will die almost the same way WCW did

I highly doubt WWE would make their speculations about TNA public knowledge.
The thing with TNA I've learned is not to assume anything. Positive or negative. Don't assume they're going out of business. But don't assume they'll fix their problems either.

Right now....TNA has no identity. Before you knew something. I dont think TNA knows what direction they are going. The POP tv tapings only exposed their booking issues more.

TNA will die similarly to WCW, but no one will remember it fondly like WCW.
Once Papa Carter croaks, it's over.

TNA should have pulled the plug last year. Only thing they are running on is Dixies dad's money or else they probably wouldve been gone 2-3 years ago. Its just pathetic at this point. TNA is probably going to keep going until they have 14 fans total watching.

Losing two TV deals in two years doesn't scream "okay".
