If purple was blue, then yes, Kofi has sported the attire chosen for Basic 60. One poster (HBK89) had the same question that many, including myself, had: What attire is this particular New Day Kofi based on. I must point out that it is indeed merely a creative liberties / mashup / fictional attire. As to the reason for WHY, I s'pose we shall hafta wait & see. New Day, since debuting color coordinated matching attires have worn a total of 6 thus far that I'm aware of. While I will not call out one poster for stating about simple Google image searches, I shall, however, state that there might be a few instances of poor lighting or bad quality photos out there, but no amount of sifting through existent pictures will bring up a Basic 60 attire. Trust me, I've been attempting different combinations of search terms since seeing the PROTO pic (perhaps they'll give him the proper accuracy, but I'm not holding my breath), and along with my 20/13 vision (as of last eye exam), I see no such instance of an attire.
Hence, this leads me to believe this is simply a first release of a new face scan for Kofi, able to be purchased in solo packaging, to possibly substitute for the old scan BP36 release to display with the rest of the trio, as that's SOMEWHAT close in appearance (but still far too inaccurate). Had it been the shimmering, glimmering, glittery purple & white (with a dash of silver in there like their third attire first shown off at Elimination Chamber 2015), I'd had guestimated an eventual couple of basics to go along with him later on, in Xavier & Big E, respectively. Clearly, those blues don't match, and New Day has worn two blue versions, debut attire #1 and the current #6 attire "cotton candy" color combo. Plus, unquestionably so, Kofi did NOT debut a "flames" design on his pants UNTIL the #2 version of their attire, which was the dark grey (sometimes with white entrance garb) & neon lime green (in my opinion, one of their worst, besides the #5 red one). Obviously, purple has been used on plenty of basics i.e. Tyler Breeze, SS '98 HHH, Neville (not yet released basic from Bearer BAF), and also the excellent Stardust, who has an array of colors on a BASIC fig, so Mattel clearly is capable of getting close even in basic form, and thus, would allow a third one for the elites (preferably white & gold, which is when the TROMBONE came in to play, of course).
As you can see, I've paid attention and also done my research, and the only attires I'm aware of--I'm open to PROOF of this B60 one, which the aforementioned poster claims pops up in Google images search, yet provided no example, as I'm almost absolutely certain after utilizing with quotes & without, after already filing through the scrap heap of the interweb prior to that on my own accord, does NOT exist--when it comes to matching attires as an official stable, are the 6 I'll refer to below. Perhaps said poster should use those suggested skills and search himself, before going to the cliche response, amid somewhat chiding / chastising HBK89, whilst simultaneously defending Mattel's choice. I think HBK89 just had a legitimate question, and so far I've seen no examples of Kofi wearing that attire, as WHY would he wear some off-kilter one randomly, without the others following suit, in the first place?
Anyhow, correct me if I'm wrong (I can take it), but here is what they wore so far:
1. Blue & Carolina / Powder / Baby Blue (Yellow & Orange Sun, the minute orange implementation detail being understandably excluded on BP36 Big E & Kofi + B56 Xavier)
2. Dark Grey & "Neon Lime" Green (White & Neon Lime Green Entrance Gear, also FLAMES debuted upon Kofi's pants designs, which have practically remained throughout the rest of the attires, often being black later on down the road, I assume to differentiate from Xavier's similar flaming threads; Of note, despite being my second least favorite attire, it wasn't THAT bad AND is when they first won the tag titles)
3. (Glittery) Purple & White (With a touch of silver hue trim in there) ; Also, this one appears, as many have exclaimed, to be what B60 is TRULY based on, flame design-wise, but FAR off when it comes to colors (would be nice if FIXED to be purple, then repaints of Big E & Xavier matching came out eventually!), which could just be the creative liberties Mattel tends to take from time to time--i.e. Godfather's supposed Rock Bottom 1998 attire including a purple hat w/ yellow feather, which I've never seen him wear with the green vest on green pants that he often sported in ring. He pretty much always went green hat (no feather) with green vest & green pants color combo (I'm a stickler for details like these, including knowledge down to a tee about NFL uniforms, especially the Baltimore Ravens). Certainly, I get why they would throw in the once again-fictional / mashup choice, so as not to go ALL green on one of the more colorful characters in WWE history, especially during the Attitude Era, but as others have suggested, perhaps that could have been remedied by going with green pants / orange vest / green hat (with orange feather), which would have not only been accurate but also maybe looked equally as good (if not better) AND saved money, since only two colors would be needed, plus they would also mesh yet still break up nicely! Back to New Day, as far as timeline / turnaround time it takes to produce figures, purple came into the mix beginning at the end of May, so that fits too, for when this B60 Kofi soon comes out / hits the market.
4. White & Gold (That whole week of fabrics worn by two other popular fav's Bayley & Seth as a hint towards 'Champions Wear Gold' could make for a neat shelf display all together in celebration of the SummerSlam 2015 Weekend of White & Gold Wrestlers Draped in Gold Belts!) : Or should I say, rather, black & blue? Due of course to the ''cones'' in our eyes or whatever, like 'The Dress' lol, ok that joke's quite passe! As I mentioned previously, this is when Xavier first appeared with the golden trombone aka Francesca, an amusing accessory (future inclusion for elite?) that also ironically went well with the gold attire, at that. The white & gold (along with Kofi's flames being black while Xavier's were gold) + purple attires are probably my two favorites, and coincidentally, both were major parts of initially getting over with the WWE Universe, additionally including the exposition (beginning stages) portion of their second title run. It would be incredibly awesome to get BOTH in figure form, in my humble opinion, one in basic & elite respectively, if need be, which I would think possible at this point, but I feel it might have ruined my hopes since this admittedly cool looking version of blue attire (regardless of existence) Kofi probably cancels out one or the other from happening...crossing my fingers they make it accurate, instead of a fictional / mashup version. Likewise, I feel a possible (hopeful) trombone doesn't make sense with any color (eventually released) but #4, #5 & #6. Then again, at least in that case, we can ALWAYS simply place the trombone with a different figure...much harder to paint custom colors for accuracy (apparently, this is even true for Mattel, SOMETIMES).
5. Red, Black & "Safety" Green: Not much to say on this one, I know a lotta folks loved Xavier's hair at the time, but I just didn't like this one much at all. Nothing against any shades of green, just didn't gel too well with the red & black, which those two woulda worked just fine (surely Mattel woulda loved MORE red & black schemes for cost reasons, right?), as we've often seen the world over at different times in life, when it comes to team uniforms or wrestling gear.
6. (Current) Cotton Candy Blue & Pink: At first, I hated it, but they made it work, matching merchandise shirt + unicorns and all!
Again, I'd be glad to see ANY kind of example of B60 attire on Kofi, as I believe these six above to be the only official attires and can't recall any others, not even spin-off non-matching blue (with FLAMES) that seems to be conjured up by Bill / Mattel. Who am I kidding? I'll probably still buy it, but I'll always prefer true accuracy, not to mention my nods toward purple, ESPECIALLY with the tease of it looking EXACTLY like Kofi's purple one, MINUS the actual color, which they could easily do correctly, or close enough to it. Albeit, maybe they just don't plan on another basic Xavier & Big E to follow suit & flood the market around the same time frame as the upcoming elites, and meanwhile, this Kofi could be a place-holding filler, plus one way of using the new scan prior to eventual elite release...or even worse yet, maybe they DO, or at least end up making the other two in 'new' attires as basics too, in matching mashup/fictional blue attires never worn before! I'm hoping the logic behind it is that the proto doesn't show final product OR "here's a Kofi with a new scan that people felt he needed" so you can head-swap or stand him in (though why WOULD ya replace the BP36 beauty with its accuracy, to boot?) with the other debut blues. Perhaps it's a similar blue look and they just wanted to give him the flames that he's worn ever since they switched from the first blue colors to all the others? Who knows, but dagnabbit, I had my say & spoke my piece! That's all that matters, in my book.
Moreover, I am doubtful anyone even takes the time to read this entire elongated post, but nevertheless, this here Rantin' Raven derived from Poe's Crows has at the very least avoided becoming a vivid, vibrant, Vulgar Vulture . . . credit deserved for said feat? Ehhhh, most likely not, but hey, "C'est La Vie," as Vanessa Carlton might sing and a plentiful, abundant amount of others in history may say, for 'tis what 'tis, I do believe . . . but anywhoooo (as the wise & nocturnal night owl might hoot 'n' holla if ya hear him, as yer hookup!), Peace & Love Be With Ya, Sistas & Mistas!
Sisters, Brothers, Livers, Lovers & All Others: "Thank Ya, Goodnight!" ~ Quote, TOOL's Maynard James Keenan, usually near the BEGINNING of a show haha...typically after the opening song of a set--i.e. Monster Mash Festival Halloween headlining act in Tempe, Arizona, after performing their famous version of Led Zeppelin's 'No Quarter', live for the first time in 17 years, whilst all four members dressed as Zep--Especially fitting for John Bonham to be portrayed by Danny Carey the octopus who seemingly has eight legs, being the world's greatest drummer of modern day, and including "guitartist" (amazing actual artist AND an artist on his Silverburst Gibson Les Paul guitar) Adam Jones, whose marriage proposal to fellow artist Korin Faught occurred via WWE TitanTron (y'all may remember his SummerSlam 2011 solo performance of the American 'National Anthem'), Royal Rumbling Bassist of ironic English descent Justin Chancellor hilariously masked with John Paul Jones' face, and of course, vocalist Maynard as "Rupert Plant" instead of Robert Plant. In my sig, you can see a Revolver Magazine promo photo of TOOL, long before recent times, imitating a similar renowned snapshot of the spaced out astronauts, the Hammer of the Gods known as Led Zeppelin.
Alas, with that all written, "Peace...Out."

I am not going to complain about how they look, but I must say that my Walmart already has a variation of most of these guys hanging on the shelf right now, including Rollins, Cena, Orton, Kofi, and Harper. I believe my Kmart 25 of Kalisto.

I wonder why they haven't updated the basic Orton figures yet? They finally gave Randy better arms with e35, but basics are still getting the small arms. Still just Seth and Randy for me. Now we can add Randy to the list with Austin and Dolph as figures whose arms are different sized between their Basics and Elites.

People have been spoiled by Mattel's last few years if they think this Kofi scan is the worst of all time. Basic series one Kofi demands you look him in the eye while saying that. You won't finish.

For whatever reason, they never use those arms on basics, just like they never use the elite Harper arms on his basics or the basic Owens. It baffles me.

Is the basic Seth the same as tru elite? I can't tell any difference It doesn't have the same amount of articulation, and the head is completely different. Also, the basic has the open-back kneepads while the TRU figure has the regular small kneepads.

Thank you. I thought the head scan was different but other then being a basic I couldn't tell anything else. I Hope they make more of the open elbow and knee pads.
