WWE doesn't want him back because he will overshadow Reigns and Cena, straight up. Thing is, WWE is so damn petty, they would rather let one of the best in the world walk rather than find a way to utilize him to help their ailing product. And it wouldn't even be the first time (see CM Punk). They have all of their talents wrestling hundreds of times a year. If it was really a health issue, they would be making a larger push to lighten the load on all of their workers' bodies. If Bryan has been cleared by other top doctors, WWE failing to clear him is a political issue.

If Daniel Bryan came back it would instantly make whatever face reactions they are barely squeezing out of Reigns look like nothing, and everybody else here knows that too. The crowds would hijack the shows again, and sh** on Roman. Believe what you want about their motives but you have to acknowledge that WWE probably doesn't want that to happen again, because Bryan isn't their chosen guy.

Read my comment above and you should probably get it. Other doctors clearing him is really nice. So neat for him. WWE is smart in that they clearly don't want a concussion and injury prone human being to come back to a grinding job too soon. They brought him back last year and it was too soon and guess what? He got hurt....AGAIN. Why should WWE be in any rush to bring him back? Exactly. They shouldn't be. There is no conspiracy in this fake wrestling company to keep a guy down for Roman Reigns....I mean is this seriously what people have come to on here? Conspiracy theories on talent not being cleared or able to come back to keep Roman strong? Please. I am not saying it has to be some conspiracy, but WWE is known to kill popularity they didn't start, see Zack Ryder. The word of UCLA holds much more weight than UPMC in the field of Neurological treatment. He has been out 9 months and hasn't been diagnosed with PCS.

Lesnar Undertaker Cena Orton Dreamer Ziggler Miz Paige etc....
All have had multiple concussions and major injuries yet have been back as soon as possible. I'm not one for the political motive theory in WWE, but when he is going to multiple doctors (better ones may I add) something does not seem right. I don't understand why if 9 out of 10 doctors clear him, is Dr. Maroon's really the greatest in the entire world?
I'm all about DB's safety but to live in fear of injury is something pro athletes, owners, coaches are taught to ignore. You cannot get injured again.....until you are injured.
I feel that if he agrees to tone down his style and continues to get opinions, they will have to clear him. If not release the guy and hope he doesn't sue you for malpractice,etc.....

If not release the guy and hope he doesn't sue you for malpractice,etc..... ^THIS The whole "it's for his safety" BS some people are posting has got to be hard for even them to back up. They JUST cleared Tommy Dreamer to wrestle, a guy who admits openly to memory loss due to concussions. BETTER doctors are clearing Bryan, but WWE's won't do it...seriously people think about it. Doesn't it smell funny? The problem is this, Tommy Dreamers health is expendable because for the 3 weeks they need him he'll be ok, he'll live, he won't take over the show. Bryan on the other hand will take over the show and become the top guy, but his health isn't convenient for WWE because how do you back a guy who can get hurt again and be done for 9 more months. The fans have made Bryan a top guy but WWE doesn't want to invest in him because he's not a sure bet. Reigns is a sure bet but bringing back Bryan will destroy Reigns. The fans created this situation when they chose to crap on anything that wasn't Daniel Bryan, so now the only way WWE thinks to handle this is to remove Daniel Bryan from the equation. The facts are, There is nothing wrong with Daniel Bryan, I know this because Doctors have stated that there is nothing wrong with Daniel Bryan but If we aren't taking the word of medical professionals then we can take Bryan's and according to him he's ok. So something else is at play here... It's a lose lose for WWE. He's too popular to bring back because he'll turn everyone else into second fiddle, but he's too much of an injury risk to put any stock into where WWE can say, ok let's just run with him as the top guy. It's a stalemate mostly created by the fans

WWE have his safety and health in their best interests and have learned a lot about head injuries from stuff like the Chris Benoit saga. They do not want to take any chances and clear him to compete with the knowledge that he might not be 100%, because if he gets seriously injured, paralysed, or maybe even worse, it would be a PR nightmare for Vince and co, Bryan would be severely injured, and people like Nancy Grace and such who look for any opportunity they can find to tear into Vince and WWE would be all over it, generating national news around the situation and just creating a hell for WWE as a whole all because they cleared one guy when they couldn't be sure if he was healthy or not. If Bryan needs to retire, then so be it. I don't want to see him get damaged any more than he already has been.

Why is no one taking the part where better doctors have cleared him seriously? Tell me why Maroon, the guy who thought a sizable lump on Punk's back was nothing and clears Ben Rothlisberger to return to the same game he sustained a concussion, should have his call placed higher than a facility placed 10 spots above him?
It doesn't matter whether or not it is a conspiracy. It could be PR for the Concussion movie and/or their current civil suit over concussions. Bryan doesn't have Post Concussion Syndrome. WWE has only had one superstar become paralyzed under their watch, and D'lo took full responsibility for it. Have Bryan sign a waiver. He hasn't had a history of reoccurring concussions. A few months ago he said he would finally be willing to come to a compromise and lighten his moveset. If this was John Cena, he would have been back wrestling 7-8 months ago.

I'm not at all committed to one side of the argument or the other regarding WWE's reluctance to clear Bryan because of the risk vs. reluctance to clear him because of his ability to derail Roman, but I have to wonder why there are some here that are so unbelievably sure that WWE isn't petty enough to do such a thing.
Did you not see the way they treated him in 2014 until their hand was forced? Do you not see what they're currently doing with Roman Reigns? We have countless accounts of former employees, many of whom were very close to Vince during their time in the company, who have gone on record and stated that Vince and company will do virtually anything to be proven right. They theorized that Daniel Bryan was a "B+ player", both in storyline, and in real life. They were wrong. Now, in a roundabout way, they have a chance to prove their theory "right" by insinuating his injuries prohibit him from being a major star.
Is that what's going on? I have no idea. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and say no, but those who entirely discount the theory are being far too generous with a company who has shown propensity time and time again to be unbelievably petty, even at the expense of business.

With most companies, if you get hurt at work you have to see their doctors. You have to have their doctors tell you you need time off and you need them to clear you to return to work. Even if your doctor has a better reputation, their doctor makes all the decisions. It has nothing to do with which doctors are better.

It's certainly not about the fans. When AJ debut his pop was huge and they were chanting his name. I'm sure if AJ gets injured, they wouldn't clear him because of that. It's most likely what others stated, about his injuries.

Because WWE as a company has been proven to show such care and consideration to their employees independent contractors. Remember that time CM Punk had knee surgery, and they gave him a whole month to recover before being put in a TLC match? That was so gracious of them. I fully believe that if this was ANYBODY other than Bryan, they absolutely would've cleared him.

I don't agree with the thought they're holding him back to protect Reigns, because the WWE are currently trying to fill a 100 000 seat arena will nearly all of their main money makers injured. If they could bring Bryan back to try and help fill that arena, I fully believe they would. The bottom line for them is money, and there's money to be made off of Bryan, plain and simple.
And yeah, I'd love to see a Bryan/Nakamura dream match, but if his neck and concussion history really is an issue, putting him in with the King of Strong Style is akin to putting him in a suplex city match with Lesnar, you're just asking for trouble.

I am not saying it has to be a conspiracy. It could be WWE being overly defensive given the Concussion movie and their current civil suit with Vito and others. And while the argument that they have to go through the employers Doctor is kinda debunked by Bryan's use of one of the top 10 facilities in the US. Most Employers aren't dealing with that sort of opinion, they are dealing with their physician vs your local physician.

We can agree to disagree. I just don't see why WWE would just keep him shelved because they basically don't "like" him.

I may have worded it poorly, but my intent was to say I wouldn't put it past WWE, not that it is the only or most likely option. They have never tried to derail popularity as Bryan in 2014, but they have with Ryder and Sandow.
