Thread idea shamelessly stolen from Gamefaqs. Alternate title: I suck at games and have attention and commitment issues. I'll limit myself to five so I don't go on forever. 1. Ocarina of Time 3D: I know this is supposed to be the best game ever, but even with the graphic upgrades and touch screen conveniences, it feels incredibly dated. There are also way too many "how the was I supposed to know that?" things going on. I sunk maybe five hours and $40 into this. 2. Final Fantasy X HD Remaster: I'm at the last few bosses and apparently missed a ton of special items in classical "how the was I supposed to know that?" fashion. I sunk 51 hours in of mostly mindless grinding. Graphically this game is impressive. Storywise... it seems... okay, for 2001 Japanese RPG standards. I got this for $35 bucks. I'd say I like it overall. 3. Final Fantasy IV DS: I want to like this game. I love the music, I like the characters, and I even like the story, especially considering it was originally from 1991. But for some reason, they made this game mind numbingly hard. I think I'm over 25 hours in and not quite close to the end ( I'm in the giant of babil, right before the archfiend gauntlet ), and I'm stuck in a spot where I can barely even grind because the regular enemies are so overpowered. I kinda wish I just played the GBA or SNES version instead, but I don't feel like starting all the way over (I contemplated this 8 hours in but decided to just keep going since I had already wasted a work day worth of time and 16 bucks on it... damn sunk cost fallacy). 5. Arkham Knight: I forget the time I spent on this game, and it came with the PS4, but I got to the big reveal and just felt way dissatisfied. I didn't like the excess of Batmobile and felt the story and atmosphere was inferior to Asylum and City. Coupled with the fact that you need to 100% it to get the real ending, I just put it down, watched the real ending on Youtube, and never played it since August. How about you guys? Any recent put-downs or repressed memories?

Every 3DS Game. Seriously.
Revelations. OCarina of Time. Pokemon Y. Urgh, Street Fighter. To name but a few.
Also go finish Arkham Knight. shit's easy. Super easy. Even with the +Playthrough.

You and I can't be internet friends if you don't like Ocarina.
A lot of my PS4 games. Evil Within, Tomb Raider, WWE 2K16, Alien Isolation. All played less than 5 hours on each.
Keep going back to my N64, PS1, PS2, and PS3.

Grand Theft Auto IV. It's not even that I didn't like it, but the lack of check points. It's one thing to start a mission all over again but to have to drive to it again too?

One the first games I ever tried to platinum was Gran Turismo 5. Let it be known that I was never a fan of the racing genre, but GT5 was extremely fun to play. When I decided to try and platinum the game (one of the first times I tried to do so), I sunk WAY too much time in the game. It was so time-consuming and unfortunately, I never got the platinum.

You and I can't be internet friends if you don't like Ocarina. A lot of my PS4 games. Evil Within, Tomb Raider, WWE 2K16, Alien Isolation. All played less than 5 hours on each. Keep going back to my N64, PS1, PS2, and PS3. I'm playing much more Wii U than PS4 lately on games like Smash, Mario Maker, and Mario Kart 8. If anything, I regret getting my PS4, which I got pretty much for the superior console version of MGSV (which I sunk 70 hours into before decided I indeed hate it). I also tried to like Black Ops 3 but dumped it. I honestly liked Advanced Warfare better. I literally only use my PS4 for NHL 16 but did order the Uncharted Collection (should be here tomorrow) and am slowly getting hyped for Final Fantasy XV. Grand Theft Auto IV. It's not even that I didn't like it, but the lack of check points. It's one thing to start a mission all over again but to have to drive to it again too? Ah. I probably got 2/3s of the way through that game. Lack of checkpoints, getting to certain mission spots was confusing on some roads, had to always run to a food stand to get health. I also remember it being hard to evade cops. I probably just sucked at the game. I know a lot of people don't like how easy GTA V is, but I found it a much better game in terms of its flashy world and lack of annoyingness.

There are games I've gotten for Christmas over the years that I've literally never touched. Epic Mickey stands out. WWE 2015 I played one day and never again. On another note, Fallout 4 is glaring at me. All I have left to do is finish the story and I don't want to...

Skyrim. 200 hours. Still have a few main story missions left. But those kinds of games will do that to you. XD

Borderlands 2. Don't really like it, but I had tons of friends who loved it, so I bought it to hop on with them, but they'd always start new characters and replay old stuff from the start because someone in the friends list just started it. I have put in at least 100 hours into it and probably never gotten past the halfway point.
the first Borderlands is similar, got about two thirds of the way through, have around 60 hours on that one. I prefer the second one to this one by a large margin though I don't like either. The friends tended to replay the second one more than this one thank god.

Ocarina of Time is one of the top 5 greatest games of all time imo. I still own it and play it on both N64 and Gamecube. To each their own, I guess.
I do this quite a bit though. I bought Watchdogs because my buddy told me it was awesome in the first 2 days he played it. I played it for a few hours one Saturday afternoon and absolutely hated everything about it. I haven't touched it again.
Evil Within. I actually love this game though. I played 3 or 4 levels into it and then just randomly stopped playing it for some reason. I need to finish it. I was really digging it.
I do this every year with the WWE game. I buy it, buy the DLC pack, play the game for 2 days, and don't touch it until the DLC comes out. Then I'll play it for a day, and then won't touch it again until the other DLC comes out. Then I play it for a day and then never play it again. So I probably get a total of 5-7ish days of play from those games every year but still continue to buy them. I'll do it again this year because I'm sure AJ and Nakamura will be in the game, and maybe Austin Aries. So yeah.
I haven't even opened NHL yet. It's literally still in the plastic. Same for Metal Gear V.
I'm kind of doing this with Batman right now. I've actually really enjoyed Arkham Knight quite a bit more than I thought I would. So when I sit down to play it, I love it. However, I started playing Life is Strange right in the middle of it, beat that, and haven't gone back to Batman at all yet. I'm hoping to finish Batman before Uncharted comes out.
Oh, and ditto for FFX remastered. I bought it for PS3, and got 20 or so hours into it and just stopped. Again, not something I wasn't enjoying, but just didn't pick it up one day and never went back. I beat that game twice on PS2 though, so I know how it ends.

Quite a few. Some games just couldn't hold my attention, some just came out when I was addicted to another game.
Batman: Arkham Knight Infamous Tomb Raider (PS3) - Still plan on finishing it. Dragon's Dogma Shadow of Mordor - Having too much getting into huge brawls and forget to try to advance the story. Ni No Kuni Dragon Age: Inquisition - Still playing, though I'm still playing too much GTA V Online with my crew. Final Fantasy (9, 12, and 13)
Still haven't started The Witcher III and Last of Us, but I'll get to them eventually. Maybe. With The Division looming and looking to be a game I'll be playing with my GTA crew, it might be a long time before I finish another game.

Bioshock 2. I bought it, never opened it. Went on a year later and sold it to game stop. The guy looked at me and said it wasn't open. I told him it didn't interest me. Got like 20 bucks, spent 70.
Arkham something. Played it once never picked it back up.
Halo something. My buddy wanted me to buy it and bring it over so like 10 of us could link and play. I never played it again after I left.

Can I say my Wii U in general? I bought this thing and haven't turned it on in months.
