As I jumped back into this hobby like New Jack off a balcony, I came in with no focus. I did however, buy what I liked, so I guess there is somewhat of a targeted collection beginning.
It seems that I have been drawn to the stars from my youth ('80s WWF, NWA, UWF/Mid South, World Class, etc) along with the ones who brought me back to the sport the first time (NWO, DX), and then the current ones that I just enjoy watching Owens, Zane, Balor, Wyatt, Ziggler etc. And if course Road Warriors/LOD of pretty much all sorts.
Like many others, I envision a space where I have folks displayed by era with less extra loose figures and figures that don't fit in hanging around.
I was wondering what the focus of your collection is. Do you have one?

When I first got back into collecting after stopping shortly after Mattel took over, I only bought the guys that were my favourites so like Punk, Bryan that sort. I still mainly do that but if there is a guy I only kinda like but I like how the figure looks I'll buy that too. I've fallen behind but I also would like to focus on collecting the NXT guys. I've missed a lot so far but I'm hoping to catch up soon

It is, it was, and it always will be Championship Title Belts. I have more Championship Title Belts than action figures. I have more Championships than SuperBowl, Stanley Cup, NBA Finals, and World Series winners combined. I have more Titles than Netflix and Hulu combined. I have more Belts than pants.

I quit after Jakks lost the license, during the jakks RA era I bought a lot, anything I liked the look of I got and then split it into - Current / 80's / Attitude Era / ECW / WCW.
I started a very small collection of elites until they went up to £18. £20+ online, then quit. I collect basics now, only current guys and only guys I enjoy, I gotta try and stop myself getting "Jakks bad" when I collected RA I'd buy anything for the right price. I was doing a lot of customs back then but now I just dont have the parts supply, plus mattel's are more expensive and seem to hold their value longer.

Lately I just have been looking for Jakks RA figures of ole WCW wrestlers. I've been out of collection for years.

For wrestling/Mattel figures I focus mainly on getting at least one version of everyone. I prefer Elites but will get Basics and Battle Packs if there is a slim chance of there ever being Elite versions. I will get more versions if their appearance is changed enough, example would be Akeem and One Man Gang. But I don't feel I would need the Horsemen Arn and Tully if I already had the Matty Collector versions.
I have a huge Jakks collections still. I have an even bigger GI Joe collection that I started in 1982 that is complete as far as I'm concerned, I have what I want and it's most of what was made. I still add to it with new stuff occasionally.
I have a ton of Hasbro Star Wars stuff but haven't added to it in the last 5-7 years.
I have a giant comic book collection. I kind of still add to it but I'm just getting digital copies now due to lack of room for long boxes.

I collect a bunch of lines that catch my interest like Megaman, DBZ, MMPR, Marvel Legends etc. I use to collect wrestling toys even in the dark times of Jakks Pacific last years and lost interest. I tried to get into Mattel but I hated the Elites and knee pads they put on the figures, plus the figures get loose after messing around with them for a while. Usually I collect very rare items, like I would sell most of my figures just to get a rare figure or item to make my collection more valuable.

After Jakks lost the license, I pretty much only collected CM Punk Mattels. Now with him gone, I only collect Funko Pops. That collection is all over the place.

All sorts of junk really, but only if I really want them. I don't really buy every single thing produced I just take what i can get. Beggars can't be choosers.
