Wait, wasn't Seth Rollins in there between Cena & ADR? He could be considered a light-heavyweight, also. Yeah, that slipped my mind. Although he was also the heavyweight champ at the time so that's kind of a contradiction I'm on board with that line of thinking. He didn't do much with the US title (although it was fun to see him beat Cena for it).

No I think it is more the TV Title, which is honestly perfect if you ask me.

I don't see this at all.
Sure Kalisto is the champion now but I have no doubt that other much bigger people will win this belt.

No, but I would like to think that with Kalisto as champ, the US Title is now decidedly a midcard title and that they're done using it as holdovers for guys they're Shoving into the uppercard/main event (Ambrose, Rusev) or as a consolation prize for former main eventers/world champions (Sheamus, Cena, Del Rio). Let the WWE Title be for the top guys, the IC Title for the former top guys/guys on the cusp of he main event, and the US belt for the midcard. thats the way ive viewed it for years now anyway tbh

Nothing says Cruiserweight like Cena, Del Rio, Swagger, Rusev and Ceasaro!!
Again, for the 40 billionth time. Weight specific belts NO LONGER WORK IN WRESTLING!!! When you put the HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE on guys like Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Rey Mysterio, The Miz, CM Punk (all guys 225lbs or under) then there is no reason for a cruiserweight title. Move on people. The 90s were in the past. Let it go...just let it go.

If you want them to make a cruiserweight ghetto for the small wrestlers, you can't complain that small wrestlers don't win the heavyweight belt. Personally, I prefer Daniel Bryan type guys being able to win the big belt, instead of being in a cruiserweight scramble match that gets pushed to the pre-show.

Nah and I don't want a cruiserweight title. Putting labels on guys because of their weight is a bad move. This. It works for NJPW but WWE it just doesn't.

Move on people. The 90s were in the past. Let it go...just let it go. It works well in New Japan, the biggest problem is that the Lower weight title needs to be billed properly. The cruiserweight title too often was just some scrummy lower card title for the small guys to play with because they can't 'hang with the big boys'. But if it was handled like at the very least an upper mid-card title then it could work fine. The problem is really that with WWE's schedule you can't afford to be segregating the roster into divisions. We've seen two light heavyweights main event ppv's (Punk v Bryan for example) and there's no reason something like that couldn't main event a PPV (especially with the new Network structure) if the title they competed for was considered worthy. Just like Cena could have main evented a PPV with the U.S Title because he had been built up to be treated as worthy. It probably can't work for the WWE schedule, but if anything it would have made more sense when the WWE had their brief 'reality' fling where they could have played it off like they do in UFC/Boxing. But it relies too much on effective roster separation to build up the title on a level worth doing beyond it merely being a consolation prize.

If WWE did it right, they have the talent now, guys that are actually over, to have a really good and entertaining CW division. Already on the main roster you have guys that fit the bill in Styles, Kalisto, Xavier, Neville, Adam Rose, Slater, Sin Cara and Tyler Breeze. Plus Daniel Bryan and Tyson Kidd currently injured. Then there is a bunch more talent waiting in the wings in NXT with guys like Balor, Zayn, Aries, Gable, Enzo, and Itami. Then you have guys that haven't debuted yet in Zach Sabre Jr and La Sombra that could be great additions.
That being said, I highly doubt it happens.

Last I checked it's still the US title. Yep the Crusierweight title was retired years ago and isn't coming back soon

They should make either the US or IC title exclusive to Superstars. Give those guys something to do and give us the possibility of a title change at house shows.

Who knows, it could be. I was reading an article the other day and it said something like that they are looking to start a tournament in the summer for just guys 205lbs and under. But it also said it could be a tournament for NXT guys,

The WWE has “trained” the WWE Universe into thinking that in order to be the best, you have to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. In order to be the face of the WWE, you have to now have the Big W Belt. Everything else, Intercontinental, United States, WWE World Tag Team, and Divas, is below the “richest prize in this industry”. How many “diamonds” are there on the current Intercontinental, the United States and the WWE World Tag Team Championship Title Belts…combined?? How many “diamonds” are there on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Title Belt?? That should answer the questions.
Take a look, or do a search on Boxing and UFC Championship Title Belts. If you don’t feel like it, let me tell you what you will see. You will notice that regardless of the weight classes, each federation or sanctioning body has the same design for the Championship Title Belts, from Minimumweight / Mini Flyweight / Strawweight all the way up to Heavyweight. It doesn’t matter if it’s a men’s or a women’s Championship Title Belt. A WBA Championship Title Belt is a WBA Championship Title Belt. A WBC Championship Title Belt is a WBC Championship Title Belt. An IBF Championship Title Belt is an IBF Championship Title Belt. A WBO Championship Title Belt is a WBO Championship Title Belt. A The Ring Championship Title Belt is a The Ring Championship Title Belt. A UFC Championship Title Belt is a UFC Championship Title Belt. That’s the difference between professional sports and “Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment”.
Bringing back the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Title would not be a good idea anymore. The days of giving the small Stars the small Belt is long gone. Rey Mysterio won the World Heavyweight Championship, though they never used the word “Heavyweight” while he was holding the Big Gold Belt. I believe weight classes limit matchups in a world where “anything can happen”. It’s fine to have a match between a 215 lb. WWE SuperStar vs. a 225 lb. WWE SuperStar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, or the United States Championship. There is no need to have a separate Championship just for the “little guys”. After all, Heavyweight Champions in Boxing are a minimum of 200 lbs. Heavyweight Champions in the UFC are a minimum of 205 lbs.

How would there be a title change at a house show if a belt was exclusive to the Superstars TV show? Hmm.. that's a good point. How about this: the title should be "televised" exclusively on the Network.
