In Mattel's defence I think some things get lost in transaltion when specs go over to their Chinese factories. I don't know why they just don't recruit bi-lingual liasons fluent in english and mandarine/cantonese but I digress. The most recent mis-communication I can think of was the size of IRS's head and Bill had to delay that. On another note, I'm not sure where all this "blatant disrespect"-for-Bill talk is coming from. The worst comment I've ever seen directed to him was that someone compared him to a 36-year old Caillou, and it's actually pretty damn funny - don't take yourself so seriously.

Stfu about the scan. It looks fine. Have you all not learned the lesson on bashing scans based off pics? Obviously not. And obviously not everyone's going to like it but ffs people

So Mattel have said there going to fix the boots for the second run so clearly they know there wrong, so how exactly did the figure end up with them in the first place? I think bill said he overseas everything before it goes into final production and he caught it too late or something. Things happen

I really hope Bill is accurate about the boots being changed for the subsequent runs - I do not want the one with the laced boots & will wait to get my DM Sting....
But I'm reminded of the Honky Tonk Man's suit..... Bill said they'd be adding a belt to subsequent runs, and it never happened.....
I hope this time's different!

Things happen Fair point but how could Bill have caught it to late when the figure clearly had the wrong boots from the beginning when it was just a computer render.

That kinda sounds like the time Bill said they were gonna fix the head on the DM Razor so it would sit lower on the Wade Barrett torso but instead they just changed the torso to one that is completely wrong for Razor.

Maybe he had a long day and wasn't 100% focused. Who cares, it's getting fixed.

I love how so many Mattel fan boys can't accept criticism. I'm seeing worse quality control, the wrong parts used and some scale issues now. This is what the majority of the people on here years ago TORE APART Jakks figures for. I'm a huge fan of Mattel's WWE figures but stuff that used to be must buys are now starting to be on the fence. I guess it's better to go on a tirade about figures, then buy said figures. These are $20 figures and a lot of posters on here want the same details and authenticity of a real doll. What's wrong with wanting a figure to be better (especially if these are going to cost close to $30 after sales tax?). If people speak up and complain about the boots being wrong and then the boots are changed to what they should've been all along, isn't that a good thing? I'm shocked at how many people are content with mediocrity. Like I said before, the boots are kind of a huge deal. Sting has always worn a specific style of boots and they have never had laces. The parts for those boots already exist so this really should have never been an issue in the first place. I (and I'm sure several others) were annoyed that we would have to spend additional money and time to buy a pair of the boots that Sting wears and paint them white. I'm glad our voices were heard and that there is going to be a running change. I'll wait for the second run so I can get an accurate Sting.

So what does that mean? If I buy during pre order then they won't have the right boots? If you pre-order you will get one from the 1st run which has the lace boots If you wait till retail you will most likely get one from the 2nd run and it will have the correct boots Damn. Thanks for the heads up. I guess this going to be one of those APA situations. Where everyone had to go to the stores looking for the sleeveless versions. I really prefer the correct boots. I'll have to wait then.

I just want to start out by saying that I AM getting this figure regardless. That being said I just hope that when I do get it that it actually looks like Sting lol and the reason I'm saying that is... This is how Sting's facial expression looks like... And this is Sting's Figure face-sculpt facial expression... Kind of off So I do hope there are better pictures and that it looks better in person lol. But like I said, regardless I'll be getting 2 of this Sting. And Bill please don't take this as disrespect, it's just constructive criticism. I am a fan of your view and your work. I was really looking forward to preordering this figure, now I haveg to toy hunt cause they F up the boots. Also I feel like I'm getting Triple H with sting face paint and a flat top, the face scan looks nothing like sting. 2016 has been filled of disappointments when it comes to WWE & Mattel. 123 kid face scan was crap, Renee Young face scan was crap, Big E & Kofi face scan were crap, Kalisto looked rushed and the exclusive Y2J & DM Sting face scan are crap.

Here's a scenario nobody has mentioned though. If these Sting figures hit retail shelves first, similar to the last three DM figures wouldn't those technically be the "first run" of the figure? Meaning they would likely have the incorrect boots?
And with RSC possibly getting their shipment in at a far later date, as they have been, those should be the "2nd" run figures with the correct boots. Basically what I'm saying is based on when the DM figures have been hitting shelves and when RSC has had pre orders come in, we may vary we'll have better luck getting the correct sting from ringside not from retail stores.....
Just something to ponder......

Figure too skinny and I wished for the jacket being cloth instead of plastic.

His mouth is all wrong. The teeth and the shape of the mouth...all wrong. Shame. This figure looks horrific. Face is wrong Mouth is Wrong Jacket is wrong(Needed Cloth for DM) Boots are Wrong Price is Wrong This is barely an elite figure except with the DM price. What accessories? Any Champ belt? US TItle? Anything? Mattel did a awful job. I said it once and say it again. My hard earned cash will not be spend. Too much issues as stated above. I am the biggest sting fan and I THOUGHT I would buy anything from him, but this is an action figure travesty. Mattel insists on making popular character DM instead of including the necessary quality to justify it!

Too many complaints for stuff that has already been explained.
The boots are being changed, chill. The jacket wouldn't have worked as a cloth jacket.
This figure is excellent, and it is a deserving defining moment. It's the first Surfer Sting.

And bill explained why he didnt use cloth for the jacket.

the only thing i don't like is the head size...and the ugly face.
boots are being fixed.
Everything else looks good. Assuming he has the Macho Man body (which i believe he does). I think thats a good choice of torso.
I really like the hair.
