MAR 1, 2016: ROH SIGNS BOOKER ZACK CAGE; SEEKS NEW TELEVISION HOST-Today, Ring Of Honor Wrestling (ROH) Owner Joe Koff started March off with a bang and announced the signing of
Zack Cage to book television and pay-per-view events.
-With Destination America not renewing ROH's television deal, the company seeks a brand new host for it's weekly television show. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that
Spike TV has been sniffing around with a possible offer, but word on their new TV host will not come until the end of the month, at the earliest.
MAR 2: ROH SIGNS MULTIPLE NEW STAFF, WWE'S MOST SHOCKING RELEASES, LUCHA SIGNS BIG NAMES-WWE came to terms on the release of a large number of its staff. Included on the list includes former Vice President of Talent Relations,
John Laurinaitis, Jamie Noble, Dean Malenko, longtime employee
Michael Hayes, Head Trainers
Jason Albert and Sara Amato from its Performance Center, Interviewer
Renee Young and longtime announcer
Lilian Garcia.
-Surprisingly, Lucha Underground came to terms with
Lilian Garcia, Renee Young, and John Laurinaitis almost immediately after these releases first broke. One has to assume that Lilian Garcia will take over Ring Announcing duties from Melissa Santos. Garcia is an interesting signing, as she is fluent in English and Spanish, so she appears to be a perfect fit for the upstart promotion as it begins Season Two this Wednesday night.
-WWE also came to terms on the releases of Performance Center talent, including Breaking Ground regular
Aliyah, and former independent workers
Christopher Girard, best known as Biff Busick, and
Rich Swann. More releases are rumored to be announced in the coming days.
-TNA also released a large number of talents, including
Grado, Reby Sky, and two members of its "Dollhouse",
Jade and Marti Belle. Jade is best known as Mia Yim, and also works in SHIMMER, as well as SHINE, which is under the SHIMMER blanket. LUCHA Underground released Marty "The Moth" Martinez, and current Trios Champion
Ivelisse Velez in a surprising move late last night.
-Lastly, Ring of Honor signed a large number of staff in its own right. The biggest signings include former ECW stalwart
Lou D'Angeli for its Production team, and
Joey Mercury to help train for the ROH Dojo. They also signed wrestling legends
Stan Hansen and Kevin Von Erich to contracts as Road Agents.
MAR 3: MORE SHOCKING WWE RELEASES-WWE has decided to release
Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Chris Jericho, and Ric Flair from their open contracts with the company. Chris Jericho had recently come back for the Royal Rumble two months ago, and Flair was managing his daughter Charlotte. Gargano and Ciampa were making headlines with their performances on WWE's NXT brand for the WWE Network.
MAR 4: WHAT IS WWE EVEN DOING RIGHT NOW!?, ROH ANNOUNCES TOP PROSPECT TOURNAMENT, ZACK SABRE JR TO ROH?-WWE has released a plethora of NXT talent today, including:
Nia Jax
Dana Brooke
Carmella
JoJo Offerman
Alexa Bliss
Peyton Royce
Tye Dillinger
Asuka (fka KANA)-WWE also released Total Divas starlet
Rosa Mendes, who is on maternity leave and recently gave birth to a baby girl, Jordan Elizabeth Schubenski.
-Ring of Honor has announced the eight men set to participate in this year's Top Prospect Tournament. The winner of the eight-man tournament will be given a Ring of Honor World Television Championship match. The belt is currently held by longtime ROH star
Roderick Strong.

Colby Corino-Ring of Honor also announced the signing of
Zack Sabre Jr. to an open contract. Sabre also works for PWG. It is unknown when his debut will take place, but it is assumed it will be at Supercard of Honor in April.
