It sucks, but it's best to get this sort of thing sorted before his MMA/UFC career gets started. On the plus side, he's said that the recovery time is only about 4-6 weeks and that it's very similar to the surgery Cain Velasquez has just had. They were targeting his debut for UFC 199 on June 18 - so maybe he'll be ready for UFC 200 a few weeks later?

Beat me to it. Sucks to build all that hype only to have the rug pulled out from under you (again). It could give him more time to train but I doubt it'll help any after an injury like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if Punk never fights because I don't think he truly wants to. I honestly think hes been working Dana over since day one.

At this point he's lost any momentum he would have brought to the UFC. He probably won't be able to fight for awhile after too. Sucks for Punk I was really wanting to see what he could do. Sucks for UFC too cause they were expecting some serious buy rates for his fight.

Punk is looking for any excuse now not to fight. He's not a true fighter and this Gall kid is gonna prove it. I was really pulling for Punk but after this he just looks like a grade A bitch.

I have really soured on CM Punk since he left the WWE. He comes across as a complete prick. some people like to say that he is a free spirit, he just says what he wants, he is a private guy or some other BS like that, but to me he just comes across as a total dick and I honestly hope he gets his ass handed to him. No mater what though I will be watching so it was a smart move on UFC's part to get him involved.
