Probably one of the better ones in a while. I'd recommend watching it if you haven't, and Mauro Ranallo is really adding a lot to the commentary.
I've personally been enjoying SD as opposed to RAW as of late.

I seriously cannot believe how much Ranallo helps the product. It really is night and day. He puts so much effort into commentating matches its absolutely astonishing considering what we have endured the last few years.

It has been for weeks. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Triple H and co are in charge of it now, but yeah, Mauro is awesome. He puts his heart and soul into it and makes it feel real.

All they have to do is do away with the edited crowd noises and keep up with matches having stories attached to them and smackdown will be top notch wrestling again.

What made Smackdown good back until 4 years ago was the brand exclusive stars. You would HAVE to watch the show if you wanted to see those guys. Not only that but it had storyline progression. Someone had to have been replaced because I agree this week was great. All story progression, not really any placeholder stuff aside from the usual multi-man tag team match. It seems like Smackdown has a lot more talking storyline wise than Raw does but also manages to have great wrestling as well in only two hours.. while Raw is just New Day, Reigns/Ambrose, and Stephanie all with segments scattered throughout the night. Guys like Owens, Dolph, etc never seem to get talking time on Raw when they're in a feud even though they have it right there, instead they'll just stick the guys in a match because that's how to "build a feud" in the raw writers minds

Honestly, it's unwatchable for me because of the edited crowd noises. Half the fun of wrestling is seeing which people are over and which aren't. They showed a Roman Reigns tweet and the roof blew off the place

Taker, Edge, SES, good Del Rio, D-Bry, grotesque Cody Rhodes, Kane

I also really liked SD this week for the following matches Jericho/Styles II and Naomi/Sasha.

The ONLY problem I had with SD this week was there were a few times where Ranallo talked over Becky Lynch. Besides that, it was a good show.

The last 2 episodes were really good. I felt like too much time was wasted on promos and reliving Raw this week, but other than that, the show seems relevant again. How long will it last though is my question. Last year at this time we were basically seeing the same thing.

Yeah, agreed. The last couple of weeks have been great. I'm starting to feel like that 09-10 period where Smackdown was really giving some of WWEs best talent a place to shine. I hope it continues.
I'm really enjoying the AJ/Jericho and Sasha/Becky feuds.

I think I'm going to give Smackdown a try again after hearing people say it's a decent show again.

I was in Portland and I promise there was not much of a pop for Reigns, biggest pops were Becky, Y2J and Anything to do with Bryan

I think I'm going to give Smackdown a try again after hearing people say it's a decent show again. AJ/Jericho from this week is a must watch. Best TV match the WWE has put on so far in 2016. Commentary is strong and the matches are usually enjoyable. There are still a few too many Raw recaps but it's certainly an improvement.

I've only seen clips of both but Ranallo is a fantastic addition to the commentary table. And gimme heel Lawler over JBL any day. The matches they've been having on Smackdown and the fact that it's only 2 hours makes it a very attractive prospect. I may try and watch a full episode one of these days.

I'll probably DVR it since it isn't live anyway, and skip any RAW Recaps or 6-Man Tag matches.

I haven't gotten the chance to see this weeks episode but I have been watching it since the move over to USA and I've really been enjoying it. Miz Vs AJ from a few weeks ago was really entertaining and I'd imagine Jericho Vs AJ from this week is pretty good too. One problem I had with watching Smackdown before is nothing felt important on the show which is a shame cause I've always been a Smackdown guy, but with AJ Vs. Jericho II being built up the way it has really got me interested in the show again. Also as you guys have said Ranallo is fantastic definitely adds to the show and I honestly don't mind King with him either.

I only watched The Dudley Boyz promo AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho which was a good match, The piped in crowd noise is painfully obvious. Jerry Lawler has gone back to the way he called matches in mid 90's and it's great. I think him and Mauro would be a great team, Byron is just useless.
