I remember literally zero of the women from Diva Search not named Ashley or Christy Hemme.

Joy was insanely hot. Also, Christy was MUCH hotter than Carmella to me and, outside of Michelle McCool, was the best option to win. Add Maria to that list and I agree 100%. |

The Diva Search became the #1 reason I began to record Raw, strictly so I could FF past those segments.

Speaking of the Diva Search I'll never understand why Christy Hemme had to lose her job yet someone like Ashley Massaro was able to keep hers for so long.Christy was showing signs of improvement every single time she was in the ring and it's not like she had a backstage attitude or anything.Had she stayed a little bit longer she could've been something special in the divison her and mickie james releases literally shocked me because I wasn't expecting either one to go.Yet Ashley massaro clearly they wanted to make her the face of the Women's division but she was such a bad worker in the ring and just never showed signs of improvements and it also didnt help that she stayed being injured.

Nothing good has every come out of the Diva Search. Period While the segments were cringe worthy, the Diva Search produced some quality women. Namely Michelle McCool, Layla, Maria Kanellis, and Eve Torres. When Eve Torres was on Talk Is Jericho, Torres noted that the WWE didn't expect these women to go out and perform as wrestlers. For Eve Torres, she took it upon herself to get trained as a wrestler and show the WWE they made a good choice by hiring her. When you have women like Eve Torres who takes the industry serious, and is willing to give back, it benefits the newer wave of people coming in. The affects from the Diva Search is still being felt almost a decade after the last one in 2007. |
