After lots of talk about Braun Strowman vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the match is most likely not happening now.
According to The Observer, the current plan is for Strowman to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and go on to get a major push as WWE's new monster.
The idea is to build him to a feud with future WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and a potential pay-per-view match with Brock Lesnar. A Lesnar and Strowman match could happen at SummerSlam.

Although most reported plans are probably nothing more than speculation, definitely a good move. Strowman is so 'meh' its not funny and screams disaster of a match. Id rather he didnt win the battle royal, but if that keeps him off a proper mania spot, then ill take it. No way in hell should he be anywhere near taker at mania.

The guy who was once a rosebud for Adam Rose might one day be WHC. WWE in 2016 sure is interesting.

I'm all for them building up a new 'monster' as it's handy to have one around, and although it doesn't seem like it eventually Show, Henry and Kane will all retire.
Still, I'd slow build the hell out of him. Monsters are only useful until they're beaten, and he's not winning in the long run against the Reign's and Cena's. Keep him as a lackey on the Wyatt family, sent in when the Wyatts needs to clear house and send a message. But as soon as they 'pull the trigger' on him it'll be all downhill. 'Monsters' will never be as effective as they were in the old territory system, it simply isn't possible

Honestly, if this happens, I think it'll be my catalyst to call it a day on wrestling. This is a golden era of talent which they are underusing so much that it is frustrating. This would definitely be the final straw for me.

Honestly, if this happens, I think it'll be my catalyst to call it a day on wrestling. This is a golden era of talent which they are underusing so much that it is frustrating. This would definitely be the final straw for me. I had a final straw back when The Jiz was WWE champion. I stayed away for a few years... The Pipe Bomb brought me back. |
