Brandon Bison's Current Residence in Islamorada, Florida
Islamorada was oddly gloomy. A heavy deluge soaked Brandon Bison's home. The scratching of trees against the exterior walls of the house created a horrible screech. Brandon woke up and examined the space around him. The television was on. Someone had been watching a WFWF event. It was paused at the end of a match between a man and a woman, both of them were down for the count. A half-filled cup of tea stood on the coffee table in front of the couch where Brandon sat. He felt nauseous and pains in his abdomen and on his head. He stood up and walked out of the living room. A box of store brand fruit cereal was spilled on the table and onto the floor.
Brandon: What the hell? Why is it such a mess?
He walked back to the room and clicked the TV. It showed multiple screens, all showing current footage of the happenings in his house. He tapped a few buttons and all the screens started to rewind. One of the gray screens had some action going on...
Two thugs entered through the open glass door and into the living room, packs of beer and grocery bags in their hands.
Brandon: Hey Dizzy, did you invite these people?
The thugs dropped their items. Brandon and Jervis looked at the thugs in unison.
Jervis: Naw man, I don't know these guys. I wish I knew 'em though, they look like they want to party.
Thug: We're always the life of the party. Especially this one.
The thug shot the landline phones. A bullet nearly grazed Brandon's arm.
Thug: Listen, we don't wanna kill none of you, but we have no problem doing it if you don't do we tell you. You got jewelery? We like jewels, and so do our wives. Me and my buddy here, we like money, so if you've got any of that, why don't you give it to us?
He raised his gun and spun it around his finger. Brandon looked at the gun and the other thug put his hand over his pocket. The duos stood face to face. Two holding guns, the others had no defenses, except for their body. Jervis kicked the hip of one of the thugs and Brandon punched the other. The thug reached for a gun, but Brandon hit his arm. Brandon clutched his arm and swung it behind his back. He pulled his arm up and the thug yelled in pain. Brandon grabbed the gun from the guy's pocket. Jervis also managed to rid the other thug of his gun. Jervis eventually pinned the guy against the wall after a small fist fight.
The thug threw a few punches at Brandon's head, causing a gash just above his brow. Brandon attacked with knees to the gut. The two pounded at each other for a few good minutes until Brandon got the upper hand and tagged him right in the nose with a swift jab. Brandon grabbed the thug and took him down to the ground. Brandon hit his head on the coffee table as they fell. The thug and Brandon both stumbled as they got up, but Brandon pushed the thug out of the house. Jervis dragged the other one and tossed him onto the other thug Brandon had just been fighting.
Brandon switched from the living room camera to the dining room camera. He was unaware that all these things had occurred last night, and he thought he saw why in the footage. He replayed him taking the thug down.
Brandon: Yep, there it is.
He felt around the side of the head and realized that the pain in his head was from his contact with the coffee table.
He returned to the dining room camera, watching him and Jervis.
Brandon and Jervis sat down at the dinner table. Brandon poured a bowl of cereal and looked up at Jervis.
Jervis: That felt way too easy. I hope those were just some random street thugs, not a little bit of a huge group...
Brandon: I doubt they were representing some big gang, they barely put up a fight.
Jervis: Heh, that's true. Anyway, congrats on that win at Encore, you showed 'em!
Brandon: It felt great to win that match. Hopefully I can keep up a winning streak and beat Penny Shannon.
Jervis: I heard she's a tough one. She acts quite playful in the ring, nothing like you man, I know you'll joke around with everyone at any time, but when you get in that ring, you don't play around.
Brandon: Yeah man, I've been checking out some of her stuff. She was pretty good up until she got struck with some bad luck.
Brandon ate some fruit cereal.
Jervis looked at his watch.
Jervis: Oh crap! Man, I gotta go! I've got a plane to catch and I've still gotta pack!
Brandon: You wrestling soon?
Jervis: Yeah man, I've got a big match. Same guy you faced before you headed off to WFWF.
Brandon: Good luck, man. Hope to see you in the crowd at No Remorse.
Jervis: You won't miss me. I'll be the guy screaming "Go Bison!" when everybody else is silent.
Brandon laughs.
Brandon: Alright Dizzy, see ya.
Jervis: Bye man, good luck.
He waved at Jervis, who nodded and closed the sliding glass door.
Brandon walked away from the screen and back to his couch. He wiped the cushion, sat down, and took a sip of cold tea from the tea cup.
Brandon: No Remorse. The second event that Brandon Bison wrestles at for WFWF. The second time Brandon Bison steps in a WFWF ring. But only the first time that Brandon Bison takes on Penny Shannon.
He fixes the collar on his maroon polo while swatting at a swarm of gnats.
Brandon: Penny, you live life on the edge, and I respect that. You're playful, and I'm never against having a little fun, but when I step into the ring with you, it's serious business. I'm here to prove myself, show the world that I belong, because I sure as hell do.
When I get in the ring and wrestle you, I'll show that I'm what's next. I'm headed straight to the top, and once I beat you, the ship I'm sailing to the peak of WFWF has nothing but smooth sailing left. You can fantasize about what you want in life, enjoy it, why not? Because while you do that, I'll be living my dreams, living the life that people like you fantasize about. And once I reach the top, it'll be my house, my kingdom. Brandon Bison will be the man on the posters, the guy on talk shows, and you, you'll be known as the one that he beat so he was able to get there. Get used to being at the bottom, because that's where you're staying. Goodbye for now...
I'll see you in the ring.
