Does anyone remember these guys? Did they basically get jobs and tv time for being Shane's friends?
I remember my friend loved them because he was similar to them in the way they dressed, with the Khakis and Sweater vests.

Pete Gas is still one of the most memorable names ever.
Then there was Joey Abs, and I want to say the last guy was Rodney Mack? I remember one of them derped themselves on the ropes in the Royal Rumble.

joey abs was a legit trained talent. the other two were childhood friends of shane o'mac.
love the posse. classic when they all get trashed by test during the street fight with shane at summerslam 99.

If they had been trained wrestlers (Pete/Rodney) with that gimmick, I doubt they would have made it. And it may not seem like they did "make it" but their gimmick was pretty funny and had some good moments for them really being a comedy type act. I bet they had a lot of fun doing it.

Im sure that Pete Gas and Rodney were totally trained prior too.
Either way I absolutely LOVE the MSP, the promos leading up to WM15 were amazing, shame we never got to see the baddest dude, Willie Green!

I loved their theme song, so I used them on SD: Know Your Role a lot.

I tweeted one time at like 3 in the morning several years ago "PETE F****** GAS!" for some reason and like 3 years later Pete Gas retweeted it.

I  ing LOVED the posse. It was such a weird thing, but it worked so incredibly well. None of them were overly talented, but they were hysterical, so it made up for it. I always thought Rodney had a decent look and could've broke out, but nothing ever happened. |

was watching a botchamania the other day, and pete gas DESTROYS himself in the 2000 royal rumble upon entrance...runs face first into the bottom rope while trying to slide under, and looks completely out of it for the rest of the short time he was in the match. training makes a difference...
