My predictions & thoughts (winners in
bold):
The Usos vs. The Dudley BoyzThis is the perfect definition of "pre-show match". They've been feuding. They are popular and good enough to warrant matches at Wrestlemania (yes, the pre-show still counts as Wrestlemania) and it should be a fun match to get the crowd going. I expect
The Usos to pull out a victory after their usual stuff.
The 3rd Annual André the Giant Memorial Battle RoyalThis thing peaked with Cesaro. They failed miserably last year by having Show win when Sandow/Mizdow was RED HOT going in. Last year should have been Mizdown winning by tossing Miz after they teamed up to get rid of Show. This year should have been Show winning.
I'm picking
Braun Strowman to take the win here, after eliminating both Kane & Show at the same time. It's time they just get this whole monster thing going with him, a perfect launch pad is this. Sleeper pick is Kane because he's been around like a hundred years and they just love giving him stuff.
4-on-3 Handicap Match
The New Day vs. The League of NationsClearly the WWE views New Day as a legitimate act. I feel their entrance is going to be incredible. I feel their entrance alone might be worth the price of admission. However given recent history we know the WWE loves to mess with their audience. I see
The League of Nations getting the Win here, by playing the numbers game and either Sheamus with brogue or Del Rio with crapty top rope stomp to Woods because we all know when Woods wrestles, he's there to take pins. However I fully expect the crowd to be loud, and going nuts for everything New Day does because they are awesome. If this was for the tag titles, New Day would retain, but since it isn't I feel this opens the door for LoN to get dat dere heel heat
United States Championship
Kalisto vs. RybackRyback wins in a glorified squash. This Kalisto experiment is dying fast. He has done all of nothing since winning the US title for a 2nd time ::eye roll:: and it should end. The story behind the US title should be Ryback squashing fools until someone is able to take him down, thus creating interest in the US title again. Perhaps even a returning Cena.
AJ Styles vs. Chris JerichoDis gon be gud. AJ wins in a Wrestlemania classic. Jericho is a smart guy, the build to this has been good and old school. It really feels like Jericho is running it. He knows his place, and he's gotten enough wins in his career that having AJ go over here would not be bad for anyone. I don't see the WWE hotshotting AJ to the WWE title any time soon, but they know he can sell tickets, so there is only one place to go for the guy....Up. Look for this match to cement him as a legit threat to anyone in the company.
Intercontinental Championship
7-Man Ladder Match
Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz vs. Stardust vs. Sin Cara vs. Zack RyderWhile the build to this has been a hot mess, everyone loves a good ladder match. I feel like the talent here is going to pull out some crazy memorable spots. Especially Ryder who is obviously going to want to make the most out of what is absolutely his biggest moment in the WWE. Owens is gonna win because the numbers game is too much. The rest of the guys will beat the hell out of each other and Owens will capitalize. Eventually we will get our one v one Owens/Zayn match....but for now, it's got longer to build. This won't be a 5-star classic but it will end up enjoyable.
No Holds Barred Street Fight
Dean Ambrose vs. Brock LesnarBork is going to utterly destroy Ambrose. In the process making Ambrose an even bigger star than he was, also giving the people more reason to hate Reigns. Ambrose is going to do some wild stuff here, but in the end will not be able to conquer the beast. This has potential to be a match we will talk about for the next decade. As much as it has potential to be a bunch of suplexes and kendo stick shots. I have no idea what these 2 have in store for each other but if there isn't some form of blood I will be highly disappointed. The way they have portrayed Ambrose as of late has been
ing awesome, he legit is not scared of Lesnar and it's incredibly refreshing. However like Austin said, you don't have to WIN to come out looking like a star. The crowd is gonna eat these two up and it's going to be great.
Hell in a Cell Match
Shane McMahon vs. The UndertakerWe all know the story....I think. However I truly believe Vince is just trolling us as usual. The stuff Shane has been spewing about "change" has been said before. And nothing has happened. They suddenly aren't just going to turn the company into this edgy, adult-oriented product. It's just not gonna happen. This whole thing was created to get more buzz for Mania. I expect Shane to die. Not literally, but he will do something completely crazy that will be on highlight films forever. I don't expect a 5-star classic, but I expect it to be over-booked and full of high spots. Undertaker will win, sending us right back to status quo and leaving the company wide open for......

Overall I honestly am fine with the card. A few tweaks and maybe it could have been "better"....but given the fact we have no Rollins, no Orton, no Cena, no Bryan, and no other real big time part timers, I still think they put together a decent card with potential for some great stuff. I feel like the crowd will be lit and I absolutely cannot wait for the closing moments, the sounds of silence mixed with booing while fireworks and confetti are going off for Reigns is going to be glorious.
